6 people in my party. it was quiet and warm enough....just. The atmosphere is a cafe style rather than a restaurant. The waitress whilst happy looking was a little short on basic customer skills and manners. One of the starters (murtabak) was cold on the inside....and not fresh. The chicken satay was good. The main meal was a bit slow getting out. There was a measely amount of chicken in the dishes we ordered and too much bean sprouts and veg. The kwey teow had the right basic taste and the mee kari. Not enough noodles in all the dishes we ordered. The drink cans arrived inside the cup with the ice......not a good impression. The waitress appeared inpatient and asked quite sharply would i like the bill whilst 1 person in the group was still eating! On leaving there was no thanks or see you later, people just seemed not to care even though l spent almost £90. Very pricey for the quality of food and service we got.
Fantastic food once again and was lovely to take a friend to try this place.
Food fantastic as always and the chef is brilliant thank you
Authentic food, quiet area for a nice chat and slowly enjoying the food.
Food was served hot and tasted very nice, true to what was on offer. The starters could had been abit more in portion. Price is reasonable.
I will definitely be returning to this restaurant, the good was amazing ,and there's lots more I want to try on the menu. my husband had thai, I had Malaysian, nothing bad to say about either dishes. very good portion sizes for starter and main, meals are not expensive, 3 choices of bottled beers, which were very nice.
Great food and service will recommend to anyone had chilli prawns and spicy noodle soup which was a huge bowl of piping hot broth with a big kick. Too mucheap to eat so I brought a bowl home. Yummy
authentic and spicy Malaysian food! nice ambience and kids friendly. food was served fresh and promptly. shame it does not deliver to Salford otherwise it would have been my top takeaway food!
Quick service. Great food. Inexpensive. Friendly staff. Will definitely be visiting again. . . . . . . . .. . . . . .
Lovely food. Slightly too hot and I love hot, so go mild. But really tasty! We will be visiting again. The prices were very reasonable.
Nice local restaurant, plain and simple decor, varied menu - separate Malaysian and Thai options. Food very good. Will definitely return to try something else.
this is a small-medium sized restaurant - which has a cafe theme. The room temp. was a little low and made it a little uncomfortable if you are sitting on the bare wooden seats. The speed of service and food delivery was fair. The starters was good except the chicken satay did not seem fresh/soft/succulent and the sauce was too mild. The curry puffs were slightly over-cooked. The main courses however was excellent, the rendang is the best i have had in the UK...so far. The rest of my family also loved the main courses which included mee curry and tom yam. The teh tarik was too diluted. The lychee drink was good. My rating i think reflects my family's experience. I would definitely return here but would encourage the owners to not slacken on quality on the "smaller" items of the menu.....otherwise i would have returned within a week!
Interesting menu: Malaysian and Thai, great food, makes a very welcome change from the usual Chinese/Indian suspects. Good prices, we will definitely return, and soon.
It was okay. Thai food is not up to par but their Malaysian food is lit. The restaurant is a title cramp and it doesn't know what atmosphere it wants to be. There's also two boys (assuming the owner's kids) just sitting on a table playing Clash of Clans with sound. Water is served in a jam jar of all things instead of... I don't know, normal cups!?
We always enjoy our visits to Gossip. The food is delicious and service is good. As its a BYO we do tend to take our own wine but the Malaysia/Thai beers available are very reasonably priced and are a good addition to the meal. In short you get good food at very reasonable prices.
nice and tasty fair price easy parking pleasant staff, kids menu could be bigger , easy to book with not too many people , no noisy people
As ever great food and friendly service - fantastic value for money. We visit quite regularly and have never been dissapointed or let down. Would strongly reccomend a visit
basic restaurant(more like a cafe) but food very nice.tasty and authentic
service and food lovely. Staff very helpful and friendly also. Would have preferred bigger portions to be honest. relaxed atmosphere and surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night.
Food was authentic and delicious. Prices were very reasonable and well worth a visit. Dont let location put you off. Not to forget the the service was excellent. Friendly staff and quick
Food was excellent but 0 for atmosphere and no interaction from staff apart from one waiter we were the only people in the restaurant on a Saturday night disappointing
Nice ambience with lovely Malaysian food. Staff was very friendly. Food was prepared fresh to order. Will definitely visit again soon. Recommended for anyone who wants to try authentic Malaysian food.
Good food. Great portions. It would have been nice if Nasi Lemak was served on weekdays. Nice and quiet and good service. Could we have tea and coffee without sugared milk?
Gossip on Broadway is very welcoming and friendly. There is a great choice on the menu and all of the starters and main courses we chose were fresh and very tasty. I would definitely return in the near future.
Only a small restaurant and what you would be used to if eat in the centre of Manchester. That said the service was very quick and the food was very good and not City centre prices. Enjoyed our meal would go again.
As always - relaxed chilled atmosphere and great food. Service was spot on and the kitchen looked immaculate. We went at 8 in the evening during Rammadan so it was quite empty
friendly service, pleasant little restaurant tucked away on an unlikely moston crossroads, very good roti channai, beef rendang & mee udang, vg satay meat & marinade tho could do with a little more heat/char, similarly char kway teow was a little too too wet/could do with more wok-heat. overall - very impressed, some of the most authentic and tasty malaysian food i've had outside of malaysia (my folks are from penang/singapore). i'll be back again!
First time I have visited gossip but it won't be the last fresh food cooked to perfection and service second to none. Would recommend to anyone. And the price £40 for 4 of us including a bottle of wine.
