great food and atmosphere i will visit again for sure

I love this place! The wait staff are friendly and knowledgable. The food was incredible, we went for a mixture of steak cuts from the board which was recommended. The ambience here is lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Food was great as always but service was below the usual standard. Ordered drinks which didn’t arrive, sides we ordered didn’t arrive but extra sauces we didn’t order did. Tried to get someone’s attention for our missing food but no luck and no one came to check we were ok. We were then charged for the food we never received. Slightly disappointing and a restaurant I’ve always raved about has just become mediocre. Shame as food is delicious!

Whilst the food was good, it wasn't outstanding. The British grass fed ribeye was beautifully cooked and the waiting staff were amazing at accommodating the fact that we wanted to share main courses and plated accordingly. Unfortunately on cold plates, which meant that the hot steak was cold within a few minutes. The burger was good, and whilst I'm no chef, I would say that the beef was a little over-ground meaning that even the rare patty was dry. The attentiveness of the staff and their wonderful way of making us feel like we were having an 'experience' rather than a mean was poetry in motion. I appreciate that there is a choice of amazing meat that has been prepared and loved onsite, it would be great to believe that Goodmans also believe that they can cater for the smaller spender in terms of quality - although £110 for 2 people isn't small change! Thank you to the staff. We will come back just to have a similar experience. It wouldn't be for the food...

Great steaks, Mac 'n' cheese is amazing, excellent service, however I disagree with being charged a service charge at the bar, when you go to the bar and order drinks yourself; no service is actually given!

Honestly the whole experience was fantastic from start to end. Taking my coat, going into detail of the meat and how they were fed. Remember our names. Using humour and to top it off they brought out a birthday cake and ice cream for dessert and complimentary drinks for my other half’s birthday. We will defiantly be returning. Colin was so lovely and knowledgeable as well!

After being seated to our table, it took 10 minutes before our server came over to offer us water and to take our drinks order. After the drinks were ordered, again there was a long delay before we even got to see the specials board let alone order. Finally, once we’d ordered our meal, the food was up to the usual standard we’ve come to expect; absolutely delicious. However, once we’ve finished our waitress was nowhere to be seen meaning our plates were left for some time. Eventually someone else took our plates away and brought dessert menus over. We didn’t order desser and just wanted the bill, but after again waiting for quite some time another different lady came over and asked if our order had been taken and then proceeded to get the bill for us in place of our waitress. It was a real shame to be let down by the service as we have always experienced an efficient and reliable service whenever dining at Goodmans which, apart from the steak, is one of the main factors for us returning.

there was a poor selection of steaks at it was only 7.15pm. Service was good but the fact everything on the steak board was almost gone was disaapointing

Fantastic food, great service and was able to accommodate our request as we only had an hour. The steaks were really tender and good portions. The variety of sides and even the selection of non-meat dishes were great.

Amazing steaks and super service. What a lovely restaurant (albeit its pretty expensive). We had lovely wine, really super steaks and a lovely atmosphere. Our waitress (lady with the red hair) was exceptional.
