Goodman City

Excellent evening at Goodman City for my birthday dinner. Service was great and the food was delicious. Only downside was that we were seated at a great booth by the window, but as they don’t have double glazing you could feel a chill all night. Also, there were a group of men drinking at the bar being very rowdy which was a bit annoying. Apart from that lovely evening and would def return.

We visited for an early Saturday dinner. Great food and very friendly service. The steaks were excellent as were the parmesan chips. We will undoubtedly return.

Steak, steak and more steak. Medium rare was perfectly cooked. Staff friendly and attentive enough but not over fussy. Had to ask for one dessert to be put on hold - no trouble. Not cheapest meal ever but delicious.

Great food ,ambiance ,staff excellent , they really know there produce, attentive but respect full . A real gem of a restaurant I will be back soon

Probably the best meat in London, and we've tried pretty much every restaurant in the city. Fab place, people who served us behaved as top-notch professionals. Definitely coming back for the 3rd time :)

Perfectly cooked steak & excellent wines do a deluge waitress made a great combination for rewarding our manager of our engineering factory for a very successful year.

Went for a Christmas treat lunch at Goodmans City. Enjoyed great food, atmosphere and service. The rest of my party had steaks, while I chose the skate wing which was fantastic. Thank you

Such a great place for an amazing steak. Cooked to perfection and even the veggies in the group were pleased with the options offered to them.

I have to say this, and it's so disappointing for me to write this, but it was just ok. Atmosphere and service is great, but Steaks are always dry here. This is the 3rd time I've eaten here, twice in the city and once in Mayfair, and every time I go the meat is dry. I've eaten in much better steak restaurants for half the price. A real shame as I like the place for it's setting and atmosphere.

Attentive service; very comfortable seating and pleasant setting. Food prepared quickly and to very high standard. A most enjoyable meal, and actually less expensive than we thought.

Maitre de was very aloof didn’t greet us with a hello or welcome or even a smile and just told us we would have to vacate our table within 2 an half hours. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all it was 7pm and very empty, we said that’s plenty of time so we went to the bar and she sighed that she had to put down the menus. We ordered a drink and started a tab and when we decided to go to our table for dinner she came storming over and said now we have to close the tab! Didn’t make any sense, she took my credit card and it was returned to me 10 mins later by someone else. The waitress was extremely informal and had her foot on the booth where we sat as she took our order. Our food was incredibly salty but ok, the steak was very tough and sent it back, they were very apologetic and made a new one and didn’t charge us. I wouldn’t go back, mostly because of first impressions but also because there are many many nicer places to go where you get a lot better service and made to feel special for that price. I think the maitre de shoud open door the front door and be a lot more friendly. It’s their job!

This is a fantastic restaurant if you like great steak. Service is excellent, the meat is amazing and the wine list is fantastic, though a little pricey. I had the Goodmans RibEye and my partner the Sirloin: both were exceptional. For sides, try the spinach in cream with Gruyere.... wow. The green beans were pretty good too: crisp but not crunchy or too soft.

A great restaurant which delicious food and attentive service. Highly recommended. Lucyna was the best! I definitely will get back with my family and friends.

Ice cream for dessert were not good at all. Always sad to leave on a lower note. But otherwise really good as usual for Goodman

Great Food. Great Service. This is my second visit to Goodmans City - I would fully recommend, particularly if you enjoy good steak and wine

The service, food and wine were all excellent. I had the Porterhouse steak and it was cooked to perfection. Looking forward to my next visit.

Meat was very good quality but unfortunately my steak was dripping in fat - it was pooled on my plate. Yuk! I had 350g steak and a salad, and felt unpleasantly full afterwards.

A great place for true meat eaters, the steaks here are unbelievable, the wine is great the desserts which we don’t usually eat are lovely and the service is top notch! Well worth visiting and value for money

Excellent food and exemplary service. The starters were delicious and the steaks were out of this world. My guests (from Braziland the US) really enjoyed themselves as well.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Not as intimate as the west end restaurant, a lot more lively and noisy - so suites big groups rather than cosy couples. We were gutted the carrots weren’t on the menu, but the spinach and tomatoes were incredible, the chips were outstanding and the steak just melt in your mouth. Can’t wait to come back.

Excellent food/service etc. Quite pricey but certainly worth it. The staff were very accommodating. The only issue I had was that the toilets were so far away from our table, but nothing you can do about that!

All round very good food. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The only small gripe would be the cost of £8 for a small bowl truffle chips. Overall though, very happy with our visit.

The food was excellent, my wife phoned ahead and it was my son's birthday and they provided a and pretend happy birthday on the plate which was very nice. I found the service a bit wanting. We asked for butter from a lady and had to ask 2 times. I asked the lady choosing the wines if we could now order she said you have to find your waiter.

Still the best place for steak in town. Prime rib eye was ridic, Crab cakes a welcome addition to the starters. They need to bring mash back to the menu though. If you don't like a fork of steak with mash and bernaise then you are no friend of mine. Dave Strauss said its off the menu for the summer, summer is over, its freezing, get the mash back NOW!

This was my husband’s birthday surprise meal. Excellent food. Great staff, all with a sense of humour, really fun. They all wished him a happy birthday and helped to make him feel special. A truly memorable evening.

Excellent Steak as always. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. Unusually quiet but did go there slightly later than normal and no pressure to vacate table.

Food is superb - had 750g steak to share which was more than enough, didn't feel as if we had overeaten. Shared spinach and ships - also great. Service was excellent too.

The choice was really good and the food was really really nice. As always top quality and company was superb. Very busy for a reason !

Made very welcome from the start. All staff were professional and very friendly. Explanation of menu choices was thorough. Food was excellent and surroundings conducive for a business lunch.

We have very nice time at Goodman City. Both food and service are perfect for us. Especially, I love the selection of wine the most.

Table not ready, ushered to bar and waited 30 mins. Waitress not knowledgeable and disappointed with quality of bone in Ribeye which also lacking in seasoning and not caramelised. Definitely won’t be returning here!

Another very enjoyable meal at Goodmans, US fillet steak was to die for!! The wine paired with it also went down very well with everybody!
