Great meat as ever perfectly cooked modest but ample portions for the big eaters like me. Although the seasoning had a slight smokey bbq taste to it this time which was unusual but not too overpowering Mother’s Day treat so she had a great time as did we all

Unfortunately the steak wasn't cooked that well and the service was a bit slow. Unusual for Goodmans as never had a problem before at the city restaurant

Food took a long time and wasn't told about the specials putting a dampener on the ambience.

Set Lunch is a great value - the stake & sauce were just perfect. The wine a bit of a miss.

The setmeal is very good value - excellent for big groups.

Had the crab cake as a starter this time and it's delicious. The Yorkshire ribeye was tasty and tender.

Was okay.. steak just comes on its own with some sauce but it’s just really poor - definitely should come with extras otherwise its way too simple. The prawn starter was nice though.

Food quality seems not as good as before. None of the ordered dishes is finished. The restaurant is kind to give a complimentary dessert for our birthday celebration.

Not my first visit. Was blown away by my previous visit. Amazing!!! Food on the whole was great this time around too. My wife had the Yorkshire fillet steak and it was probably the best steak she'd ever had. I had the USDA Sirloin and I have to say I was a little disappointed with it. There was quite a bit of gristle, unfortunately. Service was really good too. Up to a point. Our original waitress left at around 11pm and our replacement didn't seem to want to be there. No conversation, no charm and when our dessert arrived, she pretty much plonked it down on our table as she was walking past. No "enjoy" etc. On balance though, it is a great restaurant and I would return, but I won't be having the same steak again and I would like to think the service staff will be reminded that it is customers that pay their wages so they need to remember that and be courteous at least. I would not return again if my next experience is like this one.
