Delicious food and good service. Good choices available. Only negative was a very large and noisy group too close to us making conversation difficult for us.

Not as good as it used to be. Staff tried to be helpful and were prompt however kitchen skills not what they were. Such a shame.

We waited a very long time for our starter to arrive and then even longer for the main course.I ordered swordfish with a mustard,tarragon and lobster sauce. When it eventually arrived it was barely covered by what can only be described as melted butter.My partners sauce with his duck was supposed to be cherry and port.It was watery and tasteless.The service was extremely slow and the food not worth the wait.

Good service and good food. Will be back to try other dishes.Went early and probably will again as it does seem to get busy later on.

Beautiful small independent restaurant, very good service and very good food, highly recommended. The starter sharing meat platter is great and very good value, followed by yummy pasta dishes.

A relaxing evening at a family run restaurant and a good selection of dishes. The carpaccio was very tasty and the goats cheese starter was well put together. We would visit again

Superb independently owned Italian restaurant. The restaurant in Montpellier Quarter has a lovely relaxed ambiance and the food is superb quality. The menu is extensive and includes the usual pastas and pizzas as well as fresh fish and meat dishes etc beautifully cooked and presented. The desserts are "to die for". I would recommend for any informal or formal occasion.

One of the best Italian restaurants we have been to in a long time. The restaurant itself was tastefully decorated and the service was excellent, not rushed in any way. Every course we had was lovely and well presented, would definately go again.

This is the second time we have visited Galo's and yet again we were extremely impressed! The food served here is delectable and the service is impeccable. We come from Derbyshire and the main reason we visited Harrogate again was to have a meal at Galo's again. We will visit again in the summer. Thank you Galo's!

Deliciously simple yet quality ingredients and superb service, all on a “school night” Tuesday! Really enjoyed location in the delightful Montpelier Quarter of Harrogate. Fabulous.

Visited with friends, and had the early menu which is available until 6.45. Great little place. Lovely staff and excellent value early doors menu. We will be back to try the full menu

the meal was lovely, true Italian. Excellent Ravioli. A very good Chianti wine not expensive. A very pleasant atmosphere and the service was excellent. All good.

Good food and service, excellent presentation. We could have used some heat in the window seat as it was a cold miserable night. This was our second time there and was not disappointed.

Fantastic food and service. The pork saltambocca was delicious. Swordfish lovely. Meat fest fab! Starters of scallops yummy. Pizza base with tomatoes very tasty! Pudding very nice indeed. Will visit again

Table for three booked for Saturday, 24th March whilst on a business trip - absolutely outstanding service and quality of food, particularly my colleagues' Mussels cooked in Sambuca starter from the Specials menu, and my Swordfish main course was superb. We will without question be back next year - thank you!!

Great food, was calm at 7pm.... by 8pm it was getting started in true Italian form, if the local Italians are eating there it should be authentic and it sure delivered. Good service and great atmosphere. Enjoy!!!!!

First visit to the restaurant as a part of Six. The food & service was excellent, very welcoming and enjoyable. Will definitely return in near future.

Lovely menu, food and wine! very attentive service, reasonable prices for such high quality authentic Italian cuisine. Lighting slightly bright- but at least we could read the menu!! Highly recommended.

Food was good aswell as the service. Nice and clean environment. More than i expected. A ok view from near the door but the whole experience is a 5*
