Food was great, restaurant setting clean and minimal staff friendly and informative regarding drink and food menu. Only issue was wait for drink a table came in after us and got their drinks first, our food had arrived before my first drink

A good sign to see a full restaurant on a mid January Saturday, well deserved. A nice buzzy atmosphere, all the staff friendly and professional. Food excellent.

Disappointed, booked a table for dinner at 7.30pm arrive 7.25pm, we go asked to wait in the seating by the door as our table was not ready. We were given menus to look at while we waited. We waited for 15 mins and in that time 3 other groups arrived and got seated before us despite their bookings being for later than ours. I love Japanese food and was looking forward to enjoying a long and delicious relationship with Fujimoto.....But as they cant be bothered now neither will I.

Very poor service, although I think this is because they were understaffed. Had to wait 30minutes to get the bill. Spent more time catering for deliveries rather than the tables seated. Very disappointed as I usually have a fantastic experience here

Our first vivid to Fujimoto. Service was good if a little slow but it was a very busy Friday evening. Waitress was lovely , very helpful with food and drink choices. Food was very good. Will definitely return

Second time to our new favourite Japanese restaurant. We had the kimchi and croquettes to start. The Kim hi was good but the croquettes were excellent. Flavourful, really crispy and just the right amount of softness to the potato. Just a little bit of the sauce is enough to enhance its flavour or eat it naked, either is great. The mains were the pork belly in sweet sauce and Nanban chicken. Some bits of pork was a little dry but that balanced out with some of the belly fat. It's not easy getting the meat completely juicy and soft and I've only ever had it a few times at VERY good restaurants like that so its just me being extremely picky. In saying that the taste of the whole dish was sweet and subtle and I loved it. The chicken was exceptional. It had a slightly citrusy taste, yuzu maybe, and was absolutely delicious. I had some with the tartar sauce but I liked it more without. Dessert was the dorayaki, Japanese pancakes with a filling. We had the matcha marzipan and it was beautiful. Additionally we had the green matcha and black seseame mochi. Both were really nice but we'd just have 2 seseame ones the next time . 😊 Again the staff were brilliant and we loved our meal there. Absolutely recommended and will be back there again soon.

It’s definitely the best Japanese food in town! Food is just amazing. They produce the same quality of food you eat in Japan. I’m a Japanese myself so I know what the food should be! Highly recommended!!

The staff and service were first class, as were the first courses ( prawn tempura just excellent). A little disappointed with the chicken terriyaki, and the pork in sweet chilli sauce, as both seem lacking in their respective sauces. Will certainly revisit the restaurant again though, as overall it is a refreshing change to the normal venues in the area.

This was our first time visiting and was blown away with how delicious the food was. We’ve recently just got back from Japan and was missing the food. And we also wanted to celebrate our engagement. My partner found Fujimoto online and thought we’d try it. Every single item we order was absolutely delicious. We definitely over ordered with everything but wanted to try so much. Would 100% recommend and will be definitely going back. The staff were also really friendly and welcoming.
