Forge Brasserie

Our first visit to the Forge Brasserie. Friendly and attentive service, pleasant ambience, and very nice food and drink. Early Valentine's Day meal for two.

Superb food and even better staff! I can't recommend this restaurant enough, a hidden gem in the centre of southport. We had a fabulous evening.

As usual, the food was excellent as was the service, always a pleasure to eat at The Forge in Southport, the best in town by a mile!

Delicious food, welcoming and attentive staff and a sensibly priced comprehensive wine list. Excellent menu catering for all tastes, and no pressure to choose anything you don't want or need. If you like a pudding wine I can recommend the red one - with the Brioche Bread and Butter Pudding.

7 of us enjoyed a variety of meals & we all appreciated the choice of food & the service offered. We were celebrating a friends Birthday.

Stunning food and excellent service having been for the third time we're just sorry we didn't find this gem sooner we will be back soon

Foods is good at the values, nice and friendly staffs, service good. I have good time there. I agree booking a table advise. Location not far away from railway station.

Very little to say. The food and service was excellent. The Evening went as planed right from the first mouthful. My only criticism was it can get a little crowded and there's not much room between tables, but overall a thoroughly enjoyable evening, one that we will be repeating.

I don't want any recognition or points for acknowledging what was a wonderful dining experience and pleasurable experience, thank you, you made us feel welcome and unhurried for a special dining experience.

Fab meal great service, prices good. Would highly recommend esp if you like your seafood. You don't feel rushed or pressured on ordering or getting off your table.

A good restaurant with a varied menu and a great atmosphere. Would thoroughly recommend trying this restaurant if you are in Southport. Will certainly use it on our next trip.

Great food and service and the staff are always very nice and nothing's to much trouble Plenty of choice and you won't be disappointed always have a good offer on at lunchtimes

Lovely meal, excellent caesar salad starter and bread and butter put looked yummy. Staff efficient when one main not available, giving nearest alternative. Interesting Japanese whiskey.

This restaurant is always good. We've been going there for over 6 years now and have never had a bad time. The food is amazing and the service is excellent. It has a great atmosphere and is a lovely place to go for a meal for any occasion.

food and service exellent nice ambience La Forge was well situated and reminded me of a lovely continental hotel that I stayed in near Granada southern Spain.Pleasant experience.

Fillet steak with a cheese, grain mustard and black pepper topping, utterly awesome. Melt in the mouth food with Eton mess dessert to finish. Divine.

Didn't know what to expect but on arrival was pleasantly surprised.There was plenty of choice on the menu I had the t-bone steak which was great and my wife had the lamb shank which she thoroughly enjoyed.Good service from friendly staff I would not hesitate in recommending the forge!!

Lovely place, very relaxed rustic interior. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Good choice on the menu, everything we had was delicious. Clam chowder highly recommended for starter. Good selection of alcohol-free beer and cider.

Absolute, top class, from entering, to the table service the meal was an absolute delight as always. I had mussels, co pot pie, followed by cheesecake and all were adorable. So here's to many more visits

The food was lovely could not fault it whatsoever, also the waiting staff could not have been more helpful. However I think it was the owner we spoke to one arrival and he had no idea what I was talking about when I said I had a reservation that I had booked on line, so they did not have a record of it. Luckily there was not a problem getting a table as it was an early booking. The person we spoke to on arrival at the Forge needs some training on customer service as his attitude was condescending to say the least.

As usual we had an excellent meal. The food is of a very high standard and the staff are very professional. We had the lunchtime meal and it is very good value for money.

Quaint little restaurant also tables upstairs, staff are lovely, nice easy going atmosphere. I ordered chicken skewers for starters they was very tasty but hardly anything there , husband got the fish cakes they was a substantial portion. Mains was lamb shank and chicken supreme both were OK next time I would try the steak , also I thought the sides was a little over priced £2.50 each for tiny portion so the bill quickly adds up. I finished with a brandy Alexandra cocktail but was disappointed not really a cocktail no nice glass ect . Having said all that I would recommend ,nice restaurant, nice staff tasty food .

Great food. Great hosts. Would definitely return and recommend. Stayed in Southport for seven nights and went to a different restaurant every night. Shame we went on our last night because we would have re-visited.

As usual we had a delicious meal (at lunchtime) The food was of a high standard and the menu was large and varied. The staff are always very professional and courteous.

Fantastic seafood and fish at a reasonable price for the quality. Only problem was that two out of four main courses came with the wrong sauce. However, the restaurant gave us a free liqueur at the end of the meal to make up for their error.

My wife and I still enjoy visiting the Forge Brasserie when we are staying in Southport, which we have for a number of years now. Although the fish choices have been reduced quite a lot from what used to be on the menu.

This was a lovely evening with great food, excellent service and really good value ! I will definitely be returning very soon ! Highly recommend

Small, friendly restaurant hidden down a side street in Southport. A hidden Jewel! Food quality and service first class - staff very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Has long been a favourite restaurant in Soithport and over the past 20+ years has never failed to impress - even sourcing snails for my younger son. Excellent.

the forge is a fantastic place to eat while in southport, the food is cooked to perfection, incredibly attentive staff and lovely atmosphere, couldn't rate them highly enough. We shall return.

Good steak just cooked to perfection medium rare could not fault it at all. Venue is very clean nice layout and the staff very helpful. Service with a smile whole deal spot on.
