The farmers arms is lovely place that service fantastic food and with excellent friendly service and a great atmosphere I can highly recommend it to anyone wanting a great night out
Amazing! I'll be coming again. Such a gorgeous place and the decor is stunning. The staff are very attentive and very lovely. Fab place xx
Great atmosphere and fabulous food. Didn't get a 6 only because it took 40 minutes for the food to arrive and the pudding was a little dry.
Great service, great food. We go to the farmers often and we enjoy the atmosphere and the food. Interesting and varied menu. Would recommend to anyone.
We had a family lunch together. The food was very good, except the fish cakes were a little overdone and not a lot of fish mostly potatoes. It was very busy but we felt the personal touch was lacking.
The food was delicious, hot & very well served. The staff were most helpful & always e during everything was satisfactory for us. Would definitely go again. Also good value for money.
Great friendly service and well presented tasty food. Relaxing pleasant decor. Would not hesitate to recommend this venue, which also has its own car park.
Seated promptly and friendly service. The food was served at the right pace and was good. There is a lack of vegetarian food particularly mains and a vegan option or two would be great!!
Food excellent and the service was brilliant. Nothing more to said apart from a word about the young lady who was so helpful. We will be visiting Farmets Arms again
Staff very friendly and decor very nicely done, menu was very varied and our mains and sweet did not disappoint us. Price for our food was not over priced. The only slight problem was the food and drinks were slow getting to our table but was Friday lunch time . We will be back to try out some of the other mains and sweets. Thank you for a lovely meal
A good choice on the menu, friendly service, and the food itself was good too. Initial taking of orders was a little slow but the place is comfortable and bright so, all in all, a good experience. Will go again.
It was ok I feel prob the time of the day all a little over cooked no to complain stage just over burnt change of shift maybe
EXCELLENT SERVICE, VERY GOOD FOOD, ALTOGETHER A VERY NICE EVENING AS IT WAS A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. LOVELY WAITRESS WHO WAS VERY ATTENTIVE WITHOUT BEING INTRUSIVE.
Poor Roast Dinner - Asked for Rare Beaf! Hard Veg. Black in the potatoes!Burnt Yorkshire Pudding.Mediocre Fish and Chips. The Servucewas very slow. We waited 25mins for our Maim Course! Didn’t bother with Dessert.
We had a very enjoyable evening. The atmosphere and food were good and the staff were pleasant and very attentive. This is the second visit we have made and hopefully we will come back at some point.
Went for Sunday lunch with friends. We all had Great food. The staff are also fantastic love going here and will be definitely going again.
We had a warm welcome, good service, really good food at reasonable prices and of course, Robinson's Ales! All the staff were very friendly throughout, especially Hannah and the Landlord. What more could one ask for?
Starter and main course great, took time to bring desert, coffee so long after that we got the bill and cancelled coffee.. not the best as we’ve always had great service in the past.
Went Friday late lunch time. Managed to get a booth. The food was spot on, really tasty. Enjoyed the Christmas menu and the festive decorations. Unfortunately service was spotty, had to keep flagging down staff for drinks and waiting an age to pay.
Good pub food. We visited on boxing day and the service was great. Would go again. Not sure why you have to enter 25 words to review!
We had a lovely time on Christmas Eve. We just shared a 'board'. Our table wasn't squashed in nor were we rushed by the waitress to leave. Thank you
Have rated it 5 and not 6 as although I booked a table a good few weeks before when we arrived we had to wait for our table as none ready
Lovely restaurant with cosy feel, fabulous food and cocktails, and friendly staff - really enjoyed our selves, great value for money and would visit again
Great food we eat from the 3 course Christmas menu I had the soup and the turkey, both were fantastic. Lovely warm Christmas atmosphere too
Favourite local spot to celebrate or meet up with friends. Atmosphere warm and friendly. Food fabulous. Great menu choices well cooked and presented. well done We will see you again. S.Beales
Great food & service. The kitchen coped well with my garlic allergy & I was served with the main course dish of my choice with no substitutions.
Lovely food and particularly impressed with the waitress service very friendly but not over eager. We asked for a cocktail not on the menu and they did it for us. Nice atmosphere in the pub too.
went week before christmas but disappointed as no festive decorations in restaurant, atmosphere dull and it was cold ! downstairs in bar area was where it was all happening ! Been several times before and food always been good but disappointed on this visit. Food about average and small portions.
Table was booked for 5.30 but didn’t get seated till 6 pm ! 🙁 Food was ok Will give it another try to see if better and that it wasn’t a one off
As usual friendily efficient service I had the Xmas meal which I was happy with we were a party of six and apart from some apparently reheated Roasties every one was happy with the meal
The Farmers Arms is a great environment, the staff are lovely and attentive, and the food is excellent - it is tasty, well cooked and presented, plus being good value.
The food was fabulous, presentation and taste delicious. The staff were so helpful and kind I had a blind gentleman with me they went out of their way to help. Full marks a delicious meal, in a friendly environment.
Really good pub/restaurant Food was fantastic and service was second to none. My only gripe is food on chopping board's not really my cup of tea ☺ But would recommend this place fully 👍
As always, lovely meal served efficiently by attentive and smiling staff. Have been numerous times to The Farmers Arms and have never left disappointed. It may be a bit pricier than your standard pub grub but you get what you pay for.
Good food and friendly, prompt service made this an enjoyable visit. The menu offered a good choice and the prices were very reasonable. I will return.
I brought a friend here today because I have dined her twice and was impressed. But, today it was not as good. There was a large Christmas Party in and the staff were very busy. The service was not very good, the food arrived before our drink. Also the food was luke warm. My dessert, the same as my friends, was mushy berries with a stalk and a clove in it, whereas my friends was a lovely mix of whole blackberries, etc. I do not think I want to dine with you again.
A nice bright pub. Good food . Table ready and waiting. Staff were lovely after a slight glitch when ordering problem was resolved quickly and efficiently . Will go back.
Good selection of choices on menu. Food was good, decent sized portions. Though no dairy free desserts. Pleasant polite service. Comfortable atmosphere. Will go again.
Enjoyed everything except the vegetables were too al-dente for me. It seems to be the normal these days as we ate out at another restaurant on the following Tuesday and the veg there was the same. Service was also good. Of course we will go there again in the future.
Great food choices iincluding vegetarian. Numerous options for sunday lunch too. Great service and fast service food too. Would recommend and come back again too
Lovely experience and good is amazing, fantastic service from the staff. Would definitely recommend to other people. The place is also lovely and very clean.
Excellent food and very good service. We took friends who had not been before and they were very impressed, and will definitely want to come again .
Very good friendly service. catered to our tastes very well. The young lady who served us was very helpful. The service was efficient and quick.
First visit to the Farmers, table ready on time, service excellent and speedy, food very nice. We enjoyed the black pudding stack and then the cheese and onion pie, all very delicious and the portion sizes were ideal for us. All in all a very good experience in lovely surroundings, very friendly staff and excellent food. We will definitely be returning!
As usual we had an amazing time, the food never disappoints so thank you to the Chef. We were so impressed even more than we usually are by the service as the people who do this at the Farmers Arms are just so lovely. Today we had the pleasure of Caitlin who made every effort to ensure we were ok and happy, even down to informing us of an accident and to be careful going home. Caitlin your parents will be so proud of you, thank you so much. See you all soon and thank you x 😃
Great food, excellent service but the soft drinks are overpriced...and parking can be difficult sometimes because of its popularity. Sunday roasts are particularly good value and accompanied with a huge selection of vegetables.
Very slow service, we waited over 30 minutes before being invited to even order drinks!! However once being initially served the performance was improved and the food was pretty good.
Very good service, the staff were very helpful but not over the top. There were five of us for lunch and we all enjoyed our meals.
Very nice meal in lovely restaurant with friendly and professional service - would definitely recommend this for a midweek meal out with friends or family
The table was not ready on arrival- the staff were very flustered, Yorkshire and roast potatoes were over cooked- think been kept warm for some time- other food was fine- think been a busy day
