Good food polite staff.service excellent did not have to wait long for our meal to arrive.Drinks were prompt and as ordered. Never had a bad time at the Farmers Arms.

Usually excellent but very disappointing on this occasion. Yorkshire puddings were still frozen on the inside and had to be sent back. Food generally not up to usual high standard.

Very helpful and polite staff, who were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Even though it was towards the end of the day, everything on the menu was available

Varied menu, great food, great service. There were three of us and we ordered a selection of starters as a sort of tapas, it was really good. Nice atmosphere. We went just as it opened at 12-00 lunchtime and had reserved a table, but as it happened it wasn't too busy. I would recommend booking though, as it does get busy.

Lovely meal (steak pie and chips)! Great service, as always. We are frequent visitors and it's always a good experience. No negatives, nice orangery and outside eating, when it's warm.

Lovely Sunday dinner and the staff were friendly. Would definitely return. All have roast beef and couldn’t fault it, roast potatoes were crispy just perfect.

The service was friendly and the food was excellent. We had a lovely Sunday lunch in a very pleasant room. We all enjoyed the experience.

Great staff and atmosphere. Food okay however the pudding which was supposed to be a chocolate fondue, was cold watery chocolate with stale bits of waffle, rocky road and mini marshmallows. So very disappointing.

Good food and thought we had good service until we realised that we were never told about the specials board. Friendly staff but the waitress was chewing something when she took our order.

We have eaten at the Farmers arms many times and the food is consistently good. Service sometimes can be slow but staff are nice and friendly.

Good food and choice in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. All enjoyed the meal and happy to recommend a visit to the Farmers Arms for family and friends.

The food we ordered was amazing and reasonably priced. The staff was lovely and helpful and the restaurant was very cosy and well decorated. We had a great experience and we will come back for sure.

This was the first time we had been to the Farmers for Food. I have to say that the Food and staff were both Excellent, will definitely be returning for food again!

Fabulous meal, staff really helpful and friendly. No rush to eat your meal! Only downside was that there was nowhere to park! We did eventually squeeze in near to a hedge but managed to get a few scratches. Think maybe there should be a notice for shoppers to not park there if not eating!

Excellent food and service every time we dine at the Farmers Arms. We have dined there many times and now it’s our go to restaurant.

Vey bust post football (England 2 - Sweden 0) but great atmosphere. Great table in the 'conservatory' and lovely staff. Menu extensive, with something for everyone. We chose tempura veg. to start, followed by sea bass and cheese and onion pie. Great tastes and lovely evening.

Great surroundings, lovely food, good service, plus well cooked tasty food. I would like to see a “today’s specials” board, and possibly a refreshed menu after sampling this one on a number of occasions.

We had previously booked a table for 4 noting that two in the party were disabled . It was disappointing to find on arrival we could not access the restaurant area due to a small flight of stairs. A table on the ground floor bar area had evidently been reserved for us but the staff member who greeted us neither knew or checked the reservation until we pointed to a reserved sign on a table in an otherwise empty bar area. The meal itself was satisfactory but did not resemble the Sunday Lunch experience as advertised as there was only Beef ,Lamb or Ham available .The bar staff were friendly toward us but being alone in the bar area lacked the ambiance of a convivial Sunday lunch in the restaurant we thought we had booked.

Great service, offers a full menu. Food was to a high standard and very well presented. Due to it being Father’s Day he got a free pint!

We had a very nice experience at The Farmers .. a Fathers Day tea out. To be expected it was busy but the staff on the whole were very good.

The service was slow. Daughters steak pie was so over cooked it was dry and burnt. They replaced it FOC and discounted the bill by 20%.

The food was lovely and we had very good service for both food and drink. The drinks were served promptly and we weren’t rushed with the food. Overall we were very pleased with the evening.

Good food and service. Extensive menu and gluten free options. Well presented food, helpful and pleasant staff. The surroundings are tasteful and we always emjoy our visits.

A marked improvement over the last 3 mths.excellent food and friendly service. Whether or not there has been a change of Chef, I don't know but things are now back to where they were a couple of years ago.

Good friendly service and food well Presented. Steak fatty and gammon too salty to eat so disappointed. So only a 3 this evening. Probably an unlucky choice.

This was our first visit ...but will be returning very soon ....excellent food ...perfect service and the wine and pimms where lovely ..nothing too much trouble x

Lovely lunch at The Farmer’s Arms. First visit and will certainly return. Staff went out of their way and seem to love their jobs. Great find.

Excellent speedy service by helpful staff and ample portions from an extensive menu. Child friendly. Clean light airy decor with tasteful colour scheme giving good ambience.

Nice enough venue however the initial service was slow. That said, the waitress did apologise. The main reason for the score was the food. The flavours were either too strong or lacked any suggesting the chef isn’t at the top of their game. With the taste being poor, it means the price then seems high for the food too. I had two course of which both were quite poor.

Food was very nice. Good selection on the menu. Staff friendly and helpful, they accommodated our family group of 5 giving us the choice of main area or conservatory, and patiently waited for a latecomer.

Good service and good food ! Two guests enjoyed their food and the ambiance as well . Nicely busy for a Monday night which helps for the atmosphere.

Food was excellent,staff were very friendly and efficient,ambience was great.Now been three times and enjoyed ourselves every time. Would recommend this Pub to anyone looking for a good meal.

I was unable to eat my meal of gammon. There was a yellow coating over the gammon, I was told this was garlic. Definitely not, it was some sort of curried sauce, awful. I tried to eat some gammon after cutting off the top but gave up and just ate the chips. When told for the second time that it was garlic I gave up trying to complain. I was told they would tell the kitchen. But nothing was offered as recompense and the full cost was charged. It spoiled our evening as we were friends we hadn't seen for a while.

Had a really great lunch with friends. Yummy food, with a really friendly staff, all in a lovely environment. What more could you ask for?

Great food and atmosphere! Good value for money 😊 Would recommend the Farmers Arms for a night out with friends or family. Will be back soon.

Good food and surroundings but very slow service. Food is rather expensive, over £80 for three people for what is essentially pub grub. A little disappointing

Lovely food in a nice atmosphere. I took my 18 month old and felt very comfortable. I've found the staff are always helpful and friendly.

First visit and was really impressed. quality of food was excellent. Children’s meal came really quickly along with the starters. Very attentive service and the decor and surroundings were lovely. good choice of wines and the Irish coffee was delicious. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Kept waiting at the door before being taken to our table. Two of the party ordered pie, chips and mushy peas. The pastry for the pies was hard - like biscuit - and the steak was dry and overcooked. The chips were overcooked and salty, the mushy peas were cold. The Third person (who was paying for the meal - hence I didn't want to complain and embarass him) enjoyed his meal. The desserts were good.

Good service and excellent food as usual. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, and is always worth a visit. Great value for money and well worth a recommendation.

The Farmers is a very pleasant place to eat. Pretty decor with a good selection of food on the menu all served to a high standard off polite and friendly staff. 5 stars.

Great food and atmosphere, table ready as soon as we arrived. Staff were very friendly and efficient despite the large number of customers enjoying mother’s day. Would definitely recommend for family meal.
