Fancy Crab

Honestly the best service I’ve received in a restaurant in several months. Management, bar staff and waiters all lovely and extremely accommodating. Amazing food too! (Orders were based off staff recommendations)

Excellent crab, but the mains arrived before our starters had been cleared away and we then had to quickly order our wine for the meal, which had already arrived. Not a massive problem in the grand scheme of things, but for the prices you’re paying, you don’t expect them to get that wrong.

Amazing - splashed out for the king crab with bottomless prosecco. Such different flavours in the different parts of the crab. The accompanying dips and stunning crab cheese cake - wonderful.

Lovely restaurant with great decor. Friendly waitin staff and the crab is just delicious. We both had legs and it’s sweet and juicy. I also had a cocktail which was also lovely. Not cheapest of places but we’ll worth the spend!

Amazing crab, salad and sides. Great selection of wine. Friendly helpful stuff and stylish but relaxed London atmosphere! Highly recommended. Both for a nice dinner or special night out.

Bat downstairs smelled so horrid and mouldy we couldn’t sit. Friend had allergy attack. Food was very average- soggy fried chicken! Chap for a reason. Not sure why it won any awards. No need to return

It was ok. Small portions. Overpriced. Triple cooked chips? More like frozen chips....brought mains course before we’d finished starters. No oysters, they’d run out. Better places to eat for the price.

Great service, fantastic crab. My fiancée ordered the crab burger and it was superb, I had the crab leg and it was delicious. Nice affordable wine & great cocktails. Will be back!

Great restaurant. The staff were very helpful with the recommendations. Singapore chilli crab was the highlight. Pear tart and fondant chocolate were a nice way to round off the night.

Over priced, langoustines starter complete rip off no meat on them and not fresh. The king crab is nice but not £36 worth of nice! Cant srand places that add service charge, if i think youre service is good ill tip, if i dont i wont.

Really enjoyed our lunch at Fancy Crab. Very relaxed atmosphere, great food (much prefer when the crab is cut for you so you enjoy the meat while still hot) and the waiter was very friendly and attentive

Nice staff but expensive. Some very good dishes others less so. Amazing guacamole made at the table. Crab meat crackers nic as starter. Excellent oysters.

Very nice restaurant and fresh food. Really enjoyed my experience, the atmosphere was relaxing. Our meals were very nice and the seafood was freshly prepared. Would recommend this place 100%.

The food quality was good. Decor was very nice. However the portions sized were quite small for the price. As a result we left the restaurant not very satisfied

Great service and seafood. Lovely wine selection which wasn’t too pricey! We shared the premium platter, a starter and 4 extra oysters with a side of chips and it was plenty enough for the two of us for dinner! The crab crackers were amazing!

Great food, love the happy hour oysters, staff where friendly! Received a free bottle of wine as it was my partners birthday! Nice gesture. You have to try the Red King Crab, a little pricey but worth every bite. Absolutely amazing place! I’ll be back!

Really lovely staff and the crab was ok, but there is a strange smell in the restaurant which is quite off-putting and the crab is very expensive for what you get! Overall not great, but OK

This was a belated birthday for my 70 yr old mother, the staff, service and especially the food were all amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant as the seafood and especially the crab were wonderful. I have reviewed many restaurants in many European cities and I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. Enjoy Paul

Incredibly slow service - it took half an hour to get a drink! Never mind when we asked to move tables because we were seated next to the servers’ station and a pile of trays was digging into my friend’s arm - we asked no fewer than five people and never got a response.

Delicious food and fresh crab dishes, really worth the visit ! Great service and very pleasant restaurant! Definitely recommended, specially for Spring and Summer !

Stunning. Amazing food. Crab bites and langoustines for starters. Cracked red crab grilled and red curry crab for mains. Chocolate fondant for dessert as they had run out of pear tarte tatin. But even that was amazing. Absolutely perfect cocktails - margaritas and apple martinis. The barman is a pro. We are coming back.

Great place and genuinely tasty food. Need to look at price to crab ratio though. Truth is the more you spend the less value for money. I would have been better off getting a crab burger or something of the like rather than the leg and shoulder as I basically paid an extra £12 - £15 for what was literally a bite or 2 of food more. Wouldn't complain about anything else though

Food was so good! Ordered the crab cake, soft tacos, Merus and chicken which were all really good! Staff were friendly and service was quick!

Great dining experience. It’s a bit expensive but totally worth it! The crablicious cocktail is recommended, just like the Singapore Spicy Crab. The service is also awesome

The service was excellent. The crabs we ordeted were tasty, but chips came with the crabs were not nice at all. Some chips in a plate were too hard to eat. The table near ours had chips ad well which looked much nicer, but we were unfortunately not served good tasty chips.

Lovely food with a wide variety of crustaceans. Great beer, great atmosphere a and very attentive service. Can't fault it or the staff in anyway. Would definitely visit again.

Good food and attentive, friendly service. We like the traditional, comfortable dining booths for four people. All in all a good destination if you want good seafood in a relaxed setting.

The food was excellent the staff was excellent, dhe General Manager was unbelievable very professional and welcoming, first time there and will have a happy costumer for a long time. Very well done.

This was my first visit to Fancy Crab and I will certainly return. The food, service and atmosphere were all good. Also interesting wine list.

Good food but definitely overpriced! The bread plate is a complete joke and needs to be changed quickly as I have seen so many complaints about it. 3 little pieces is not acceptable for 4 pounds! Nearly 90 pounds for 2 with no alcohol....

Service was fantastic, everything came out looking great (noticed everything that left the kitchen was checked which was re-assuring) and then tasted excellent. Overall a great evening, thanks.

Service was chaotic - plates arrived in the wrong order despite this being patiently explained to them how we wanted them delivered to the table. So the table got extremely full. The glasses of champagne which were ordered were in fact cremant which were sent back and supposedly replaced by champagne - still cremant! Charged for cremant on the bill. One of our guests wanted "a few" cockles to go with the octopus - given a whole starter of cockles. One other guest who had ordered the cockles was only served when everyone else had finished. The wine (£73 per bottle) description on the wine list didn't match that on the label, but the wine waiter was adamant it was the same one. One main course had so little king crab it was a joke and was replaced following a complaint. The kitchen staff preparing the food, were seen eating the crab as they prepared it - bare hands, no gloves. Bit worrying! All in all a very disappointing experience considering the price point and the location.

Excellent restaurant, the quality of the food amazing, if you like crab this is the place for you, staff really friendly and give you good recommendation if it is your first time. I totally recommend this restaurant.

Interesting menu. Only a few tables when we arrived for a late lunch. Food was well presented and tasty. Service initially was good, but towards the end when staff finished shifts we were left unattended for periods with empty plates. They sat a table of 10 right behind us, so close we struggled to get out of our seats when there were lots of other empty tables where they could have sat them. Overall it was OK, but had potential to be so much more.
