Brilliant experience with lovely service. The food was absolutely delicious and I have no faults with it. The staff catered to every need we had
Staff gave us a very good service and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced Will definetely be returning to Elias in the future
We had a relaxed evening, celebrating 5 years since the 6 of us had attended a major reunion at the British School in Athens. The food in Elia was tasty and plentiful; both the food and our beer and wine were excellent value for money, and the service was cheerful and courteous. We will be back!
2nd visit to this restaurant. The staff are very nice and attentive. The food is lovely, very tasty. We both had the house wine, I had the white and my fiancé had the red, both were very good. We will definitely be back for another visit.
Staff were friendly. Service was very good Food was lovely. I had the lamb dish which just fell of the bone . Looking forward to visiting again.
This restaurant is to be highly recommended. The service is extremely friendly, and the food can't be faulted. We will certainly go back whenever possible.
Excellent authentic Greek food, brilliant service. Well worth a visit and I would certainly recommend trying this place next time you are in Glasgow city centre. Probably best to book as it can get very busy .
First time at the restaurant and will be back next time we visit Glasgow. Great food, friendly staff in the centre of a great city, what more could you wish for.
Lovely meal in a relaxed atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. Very reasonably priced set menu with good choice of dishes. Good for a catch up with friends.
Excellent value for money: food superb, service first-class and house vino very good. I would highly recommend the Greek Salad as a starter and the lamb for mains.
My friends and I come here often. The staff members are friendly and helpful. Food is lovely and is great value. Going back again soon.
Friendly service and very good food. We both had Moussaka and then a Greek dessert which was delicious. Certainly worth visiting when you are in Glasgow.
Good service and tasty food. Nice table in the window. Decent selection of Greek beers and we all enjoyed the three courses we ordered. Great value too
We had a pleasant dinner and could taste authentic Greek dishes and wine. Very well served by staffs. You should go to Elia when coming to Glasgow.
Food was lovely even though they got our order wrong. Went away to fix it and never came back so we just ate what they gave us rather than what we ordered! Probably wouldn't go back which is disappointing for us as we were so looking forward to it.
As always, lovely food, friendly reception on arriving and all in all another great lunch! Been in a few times and it's always great quality and really tasty!
My first visit here and it is a real discovery. Had the bean soup for starters, not only delicious but also possibly the best value starter I have ever had! For my main I tried the Cretan style lamb chops. The size of the portion defeated me but the meat, potatoes and accompanying vegetables were all delicious. I finished the visit off with a glass of Mextaxa 7*******. A real taste of the Balkans in the heart of Glasgow. Highly recommended.
Lovely food which does remind me of Greece. Unlike others, Elia represents a more traditional, street style Greek food than the fancy over the top seen in others. Very well priced also!
3rd visit here, we cannot fault the food, the service and staff are exceptional. We Will continue to eat here each time we visit Glasgow.
Great food, lovely staff and very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We had the early evening set menu which was a good choice and fantastic value for money at £10 for 2 courses of large sized portions. Well worth a visit and a great location.
Great food, excellent service, all of the staff is friendly, smiling and supportive. Nice atmosphere, I will be happy to visit it again and to try more delicious courses they offer at the restaurant. Needed to hear greek music because it was too quiet.
A central location and great venue, with a spacious and friendly atmosphere. Knowledgeable and helpful staff and beautifully prepared food. The perfect combination for our graduation supper. We will continue to use this restaurant.
Excellent food as ever. Friendly and attentive staff. Perfect venue for our dinner meeting and great view over the square. Not quite a 5* but not far off.
Elia is a lovely restaurant with a nice friendly atmosphere. The food was fabulous - tasty and well presented. Service was attentive and personal. Would definitely recommend a meal at Elia.
Great food - excellent service! Full lunch menu and thestaff were happy to help with explanations of what each dish was and what it contained. Really pleasant experience dining. We'll be back...
Lovely lunch with great service. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bread and olives is a really nice touch. Really good value for city centre setting.
Great staff and amazing food combined with a relaxing atomsphere. Central location next to queens street station on george squrae and easy to find. I highly recommend trying it
There 5 of us- 4 had the pre theatre menu. Service was very good, toilets very good. Most of thefood excellant, good Greek salad. The veggie moussaka though, fell well below expectation, no aubergine to be found and quite stodgy. Lovely whitebait, good value for money.
Fantastic food. Lots of choices on the menu. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Overall it was an extremely pleasant evening and we will visit again next time we're in Glasgow.
This was my first visit to this restaurant and I was very impressed. Great choice on the set menu at a great price. The portions were large and very fresh. The staff were all particularly welcoming and very efficient
The food was delicious and some of our party had steak this was cooked perfectly, the Baklava we had for sweet was to die for. The service was better to none, we were made to feel like VIPs as soon as we arrived. Very good value for money.
We had a lovely lunch; good food served by pleasant staff in comfortable surroundings. My wife is blind and eating out can be a problem but the Elia staff were more than helpful.
Great meal, great service and waiting staff very friendly and helpful. Good value for money .Would highly recommend this restaurant- we have been a few times now and it never fails to impress
Gorgeous food, excellent service and lovely staff So handy for city centre Well worth a visit and you will not be disappointed at all, thanks
Absolutely superb food from a very varied menu. Large portions. Beautifully presented. Staff were lovely. The ambiance was great and the prices were very reasonable. Well worth a visit.
Vert pleasant staff, had nice table food, considering the price was excellent............... Greek,s pride themselves on their house wine, unlike the Italians.............we ended up with 2 caraffe's that's how good it was, AND at a very reasonable price overall an excellent choice of venue Question, would i go back................a definite YES
Good food from an extensive menu served by friendly staff. We introduced friends to Elia for the first time and they loved it. We will be back.
We had the two course early evening meal which was good value for money although it was not clearly advertised in the restaurant and we had to ask for the early evening menus as we were only given A la carte menus on arrival. Our food was good although my friend wasn't so keen on the vegetarian moussaka.
Myself and two friends had the two course pre theatre menu. It was an excellent dining experience. Great choice and quick service. The food tasted excellent, I have lived in Greece and know my Greek food very well. The waiters and waitresses were polite and helpful. I can't recommend elia highly enough.
Excellent food, wine and service. Very courteous staff. Many thanks all at Elia. Looking forward to our next visit. A little bit of Greece without the hassle of the airport!
Great food, at decent prices (especially considering its location on George Square). Lovely flavours and authentic Greek dishes. Friendly and courteous staff, prompt service and a warm atmosphere. A little loud, but it was a Saturday evening when we visited.
Restaurant was lovely. Great atmosphere, lovely staff and food was delicious! Busy Saturday night and we still received fast service. Overall great place and definitely will go back 😊
As Greek restaurants go this must be one of the best. Staff are friendly and efficient while food being served is delicious. To top it off it is very reasonably priced
Staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing, really good value with the lunch menu. Restaurant is very clean and has a nice atmosphere.
Good food Quick service Very reasonable price Great for lunch and meeting friends Recommend the chicken soulvski & nice touch with the free bread & olives
Lovely bright restaurant with views over George Square. Good selection of dishes on the early evening 2 course menu. Pleasant friendly staff and no background music so good for a catch up with friends.
This is the real Greece. We had the mezze menu and really enjoyed it. The dips were great - a mile away from the stuff in commercial tubs from a supermarket. The dolmades were moist and tasty, and the Greek sausage was full of tasty herbs. The marinades used on the souvlaki were lovely. The kadaifi was moist and fresh - not dried up as it sometimes can be, and came with some very good ice cream. The Greek coffee was the real thing. The wines were mostly Greek or Cypriot. Just to complete the atmosphere we topped and tailed the meal with ouzo and Metaxa. with slightly less chewy beef in an otherwise tasty stifado this would have been a 6. The staff here are all very friendly and pretty efficient.
First time I've had the Lunch Menu, great choice and really good value especially for a Saturday , will definitely be returning.would recommend the Chicken Stifado.
The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. Food was spectacular, very flavourful and cooked well. Service was very quick but almost too invasive. Sadly it was a rushed experienced rather than a relaxed one.
Felt welcome as soon as we walked in. The service was great and was matched by the food. Good value for money and I would definitely return.
