Elia Greek Restaurant

Fantastic service from beginning to end. High quality food and good size portions...prawns were huge. House wine was very well priced for a city centre restaurant and excellent quality. We did not have dessert but only because we were full from starter and main. Oven potatoes were lush. Highly recommend

The courses served in under 45mins..bland..house wine...bland must have came out of a vat..lamb stifado very chewy...........must be its location in the centre of Glasgow

Found tasted frozen and defrosted. Got a vegetable mousakka and it was pretty much potato, mushroom and half a dish of bechemel sauce. Other person got spaghetti with seafood. Not much flavour in either. Calamari was ok.

Nicely located and convenient restaurant on George Square. Welcome, service, choice on the menu and décor were all good. The food is well priced and portion size good. We found the food pleasant, nothing outstanding and a bit lacking in flavour for our taste.

Lovely food, great value and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We had the 4 course menu which was so tasty! We will definitely be returning!

Lovely welcome when we walked into the restaurant. Food was excellent as was the service it was very relaxing. Will be back lots to sample on the menu and a lovely reminder of Greece right here in GLasgow

We were welcomed at the door and shown to our table.The waiter was most helpful in helping us to select our meals. We decided on a mixed platter of Greek starters. It was delicious, but quite large for two people! Our main courses were also excellent, and needless to say we didn’t manage a pudding. Coffee and Greek brandy finished a most enjoyable meal - we wil certainly return to Elia.

Great meal and service will always return staff were great and very friendly best in town. Never had a bad experience in the eight years of the restaurant being open

This is a lovely restaurant with friendly staff that serves the most amazing Greek food. I’m a frequent visitor & the food is always fabulous & the price is so reasonable. I would highly recommend a visit.

We received great service and excellent food. Looked after us well, including the 2 year old. Glasgow bustling outside with european championship festival and tranquility found here.

First time at the restaurant tonight and we weren't disappointed. The service was excellent, well staffed and each member of staff we dealt with were very friendly and happy. The food was lovely, couldnt fault anything. We ordered a few starters to try a bit of everything, and for me they were the highlight. But everything was perfect, will definitely be back! Thanks.

We arrived early but this was not a problem. Great welcome, excellent service and the food was delicious. We both enjoyed our choices, beef and chicken. We loved the bread with the olives too. We’ll be back

The food and service was good but my glass of house red must have been from a bottle that had been opened several days before.

Great authentic Greek food at good prices and plenty of choice. Friendly staff and good customer service . Would not hesitate to visit again in the future

We ate from the Express menu. Food was nice but the service was slow. Other dishes from the A la carte menu looked better. Overall, it just lacked atmosphere and I’m not sure I would go back.

Staff so friendly valeri beer excellenty n of course Food great chicken meatballs very tasty and of course Beef Stifado is Fantastic and when finished food your not rushed out the door 🍺👍

Excellent food, service and vibe. Easy to book table on line. Ate early Saturday evening. Meatball starters and dacos were good sized and tasty. Lamb souvlaki was delicious and tender. Nice house wine. Reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend.

The Elia just has to be the best Greek restaurant this side of Greece. The food is superb, the helpings substantial, the atmosphere just like a taverna restaurant and the service unparalled. Already looking forward to my next visit in August - or perhaps even before then! Σας ευχαριστώ Elia

Dining at Elia is always a treat. The food is fantastic and the service is impeccable. The house white wine is a very nice Greek wine which i highly recommend. Dont miss this gem of a restaurant right on George Square.

Great place, amazing wine, very good seasoning, they really know how to cook, much better than the other greek restaurants in the area. I have already been there several times and I will come back.

we arrived earlier than expected got allocated table no problem at all service was good and food was great not to long a wait time not rushed

Whitebait that I ordered wasn’t available, should have been told this when we were given the menu. The feta that came with my prawn starter was so strong it spoilt the whole dish. My main course stated that it came with salad but it didn’t and the potatoes were so salty I couldn’t eat them all (and this comes from someone who loves salt). Disappointed as Elias was recommended to me.
