The food was delicious and great value for money however we had to leave half of it as it took so long to come and we were off to the theatre. Half the party hot theirs earlier and had finished the others had to wait. It was ordered at the same time but separately.
Both the food and the atmosphere were great! The portions were huge and food/drink reasonably priced. All the staff were really friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be going back!
Food, atmosphere and service amazing! Will definitely be returning soon!
Didn’t even know this place existed! Friend told me about it and we were not disappointed. Great atomsphere, well priced food and drink. Quality of food was amazing and you got lots for your money. Staff were friendly and helpful. Any place that does pizza and prosecco for £20 has won me over!
Lovely relaxing place, great food at a great price. Very friendly staff too. Our boys loved the games consoles too. Will return when back in Liverpool. Thanks guys!
Tasty hand made pizza. Cool bar. Great for afternoon out with friends. Loads of cool retro arcade games about the place. Friendly staff. Great selection of craft bottled beers
This is a great place, offering great food (massive portions too), great drinks and fantastic prices. I was seriously recommend this place to anyone wanting a good night out without paying too much.
Great pizza. Friendly staff and wide range of food and cocktails. Good place to watch football and central to everything in Liverpool including Lime Street
Waited for 45 mins for very average food. Extremely basic surroundings and staff pretty clueless. It's basically a student bar that serves food as an afterthought. Won't be returning.
Food was great with huuuuuge portions, nice selection of beers on draught and numerous cocktails aswell Staff were great and the place was spotless Highly recommended
All reviews of this placed looked good. We reserved a table for 6.15 as we were getting a train at 8.20. There was no indication anywhere telling us to order at he bar. Ordered cocktails (very reasonable and tasty) and food for 4 of us. By 7.15 food still not arrived and staff were confused when we asked about our Order. It became obvious to us (even though it was denied by them) then that our food had not even been cooked. At 7.40 we asked for our order to go straight into take out boxes (pizzas JUST come out of oven) i would rather staff were honest with us in the first instance. Disappointing as the food was very nice but service definitely let them down !!!!!!!
There was no need for us to book as it was empty and we just walked in and picked our own seats, which was good
Excellent food, great venue, convenient location, not too crowded and friendly staff. It's a hidden gem because it's not in the same direction as other bars but definitely somewhere I would go back to.
FABULOUS PLACE EXCELLENT MEAL And great value. Good position right at the side of Lime Street Station so very convenient. Would highly recommend to anyone
Visited the Dough Bar at 6:30 on a wet Friday evening. It was quiet, but not dead. We tried the burgers which were big and tasty. The cask Peerless pale ale was a good match. Food service was a little slow, but not too bas. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Recommended.
Great food and value for money. Did take a little bit of time waiting for our food but this was ok when the food was tasted.
Went to the Dough Bar with my family (eight of us) prior to seeing Evita at the Empire, so the location was perfect right by Lime Street Station. The staff were really friendly and inviting. Service was very efficient, food was served in good time and was delicious. The Pizza's were the best I have ever had, freshly made and a huge variety of toppings. Some of the party had burgers and Lasagne which they reported were delicious too. I have already recommended the Dough Bar to other family members and it will definitely be my choice for pre-theatre dinner next time I visit the Empire.
Loveky friendly atmosphere. Lovely food. Great cocktails. The staff were really friendly. Great place to go with friends or in a couple. Will definitely be going back
Lively, friendly bar adjacent to student accommodation. Good range of freshly cooked pizzas, pastas. Also fine range of real and craft ales, cocktails and spirits.
Great pizza and service! Drinks are very reasonable and the old school gaming is a great touch! Well worth a visit for a few drinks and a bite to eat!
I didn't realize it was targeted at students as the Uni is next door, there are TV's and games to play whilst sitting on the sofa's! Lots of students hanging out its almost like a youth club! the staff are extremely laid back and there is no service involved as you have to go to the bar to order your drinks and food, There were 7 of us and 2 people waited over 20 minutes after everybody else to get their food and when it arrived it was cold so they sent it back! We were going to the theatre so time was of the essence, when they brought out a new batch of food they had clearly heated up the original chips in the microwave but we didn't have the time to re-sent them back again! they gave us a free bottle of processco as a way of an apology but again we didn't have time to drink it. on the up side the Pizza's were nice.
Very tasty pizza and cask ale in a comfortable and spacious bar. Huge choice of pizzas. I enjoyed King Prawn Thai Green Thai curry pizza. unusual, but it worked!
Always a great atmosphere! Staff are always really nice! Never too busy, never too quiet. Great selection of food and drinks. Great place go go!
Very friendly, attentive staff, good drink offers and great games to keep you entertained all night. Food was also very good, cooked fresh with minimal wait.
Great little bar directly opposite Lime street station. The menu has some traditional options mixed up with some things out of the ordinary. I had a Carbonara pizza and it was delicious, the base was nice and thin with a sour dour taste to it. The cocktail menu is interesting and very reasonably priced ranging from £3 to £5. All in a great little spot with just enough quirkiness to make it interesting and great food.
The dough bar is a good place for students and young people to meet for drinks but the food was very disappointing. The menu looked great but the food wasn't great and came out at different times.
Belter place for drinks or food with friends an partners, good atmosphere, well priced an tasty food an drink great service an the retro games are a nice touch, deffo going back 10/10
