This is a great place with delicious food and friendly, helpful staff, who were happy to make a dish a bit more "saucy" for my brother who loves a load of sauce on his rice. Their buffalo or lamb bhoona is amazing.

We visited Diya with a party of 6 for a birthday treat. The food was superb, especially the goat curry. We will definitely be returning.

We just moved to the area and booked Diya as it came recommended. Lovely staff, owners, food, very happy of our evening and experience. Thank you!

Food was delicious - never had such light popadoms. Service was slick considering that all of the tables were full. Will be back very soon.

We went yesterday evening and had the buffalo and the goat curries. Both were extremely tasty and we would definitely have them again - although very tempted by the curry made with dark chocolate for next time.

Staff were charming and food delicious with generous portions - will definitely be back! Only negative is it was very hot in the restaurant and the air conditioning was only switched on shortly before we left, would have been more comfortable if it had been on earlier.

Second visit to this wonderful restaurant... it is nearly an hours drive from home and worth it. The food is excellent and the menu, which drew us to Diya in the first place, contains some exciting dishes not seen elsewherem

Excellent food, amazing service, this is the best Indian in Winchester. The Goat Special was particularly good. I would recommend ordering off their specials menu.

Excellent food and excellent service. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. The reservation booking process was simple and painless and the whole experience was wonderful. A great evening out with family.

Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. There is not another place I would eat Indian cuisine in Winchester, maybe even Hampshire. Excellent as per usual.

This restaurant was the best curry we have had in ages we sat near the window and even though they had a party of 25 the service was great and served with a smile will return

It was quite busy so the service was a little slow but the food was very good. Would certainly return and recommend it to others.

Good food, good service. Recommended. Goat curry, Duck Nobble, Buffalo Bhuna and Chicken Passander for main courses. Nice light onion Bhajis. All staff friendly and helpful.

Excellent service, fine Indian food and competitive prices. Pleasant ambiance and the staff are very welcoming. Definitely now a personal favourite. Would recommend the Biryani!

A fabulous experience all round. Top class food ,probably the best Goan prawn curry I've had. An unusual and tantalising menu which made choosing difficult. I need to go back at least 4 more times to have my other choices!!

Came back and again the food was excellent. They provide you with a hot towel at the end which is perfect after a hot curry!

This is a fantastic restaurant. It was our first visit and we loved it. Atmosphere bustling , busy and efficient, staff friendly and professional; food amazing, all freshly made and quality of ingredients outstanding. Very reasonably priced and good selection on menu. After our starters we were asked to move table as they needed our table for a large group. We were moved to the back of the restaurant right next to the kitchen with no real apology. Looking into the kitchen you could see lots of large tubs of Pataks ready made curry pastes, which presumably were used to make the dishes. Maybe this explains why the dishes we had were probably the blandest ones we have ever had in an Indian Restaurant.

Visited on a quiet Thursday night so the restaurant was quite empty. Pleasant staff and prompt service. A good number of special dishes as well as the usual Indian/Bangladeshi standards.

Excellent food and great service at Diya, l'd thoroughly recommended it. This is more than just your average Indian, the menu is interesting and the dining area is attractive.

Had an absolutely lovely evening at Diya last night. The service is brilliant with the staff being very attentive, topping up our tap water, clearing space etc. I would really recommend the Navrattan Biryani as it was incredible and very filling!

4 of us enjoyed our meals which were not too sweet or fatty. The goat dish was very good, the 2 lamb dishes were slightly on the tough side but still very tasty and the mild king prawn dish was excellent as was the service, Recommended restaurant!

High standard of food, with excellent flavours. Gap between starters and mains rather long, but in all other respects service excellent. Our third visit - will go again.

This is a very friendly restaurant with a relaxed local feel. The food is very good and you can see it being prepared in the open kitchen. One of the best in Winchester.

The quality of food was really awesome.. we enjoyed our office Christmas party. The guys were telling me that the lamb and mutton was very good and tender.. Overall nice experience

We took some friends there and all enjoyed a delicious meal. I can recommend the fish. The service was friendly and efficient and we look forward to our next visit.

The food was delicious - well prepared and well served. The prices were good - bit more expensive than average but worth it for the more unusual menu. My only criticism would be was that it was incredibly noisy. There were a lot of tables close together and the minimal furnishings amplified the noise. We’ll be back, but maybe not on a Saturday.

Excellent restaurant. Extensive menu choice and friendly and helpful staff. We had poppadums and dips, then each ordered a main and a naan, shared a rice, a diet coke, water and had a bottle of prosecco and it was only £56. Really good value for money and the food was delicious too. 10/10 would 100% visit again.

Great staff, good food prepared by excellent chef... variations on traditional curries! Fabulous... We have been to this restaurant many times , service and food are always consistent.

Attentive service but food was slow to arrive. The food quality was unexciting. The restaurant has potential but it’s not the best of its type in Winchester yet.

There was a big and varied menu, with several original dishes. Service was prompt and friendly, even though the restaurant was very busy. Prices are reasonable for the quality offered.

Service excellent and food very tasty especially the vegetable curry would recommend to anyone who likes Indian food, i hear they do take away too
