interesting place, this our first visit. really nice eatery, very relaxed atmos and good music. serves American classics, burgers, chicken etc. we tried the lasagne bites, bacon wrapped onion rings, fried shrimp to start. southern style chicken and burger with chilli for mains and the cookie dough dessert. all the food was really nice, tasty, the wines too. service was very good, friendly and efficient. would happily go back.
Friendly team, crazy-level tasty food & good beer/boilermakers! Definitely a 'dive' to return to 😁
Food was lovely and particularly enjoyed the lasagne and halloumi starters!
The food was great and the place has a good atmosphere. Good value for money
Gorgeous food, really nice surroundings too and really good value! Will be visiting again!
1st visit Food and service really good. Had an early evening meal so was quite quiet. Will return at a later time as was filling up nicely and to see resident band.
Food service is poor (not the servers) meals were bland. Then waiting 20 minutes to pay when there was just one other table of customers. The band was so loud especially when our table of 8 were planned directly in front of them.
The restaurant itself and the staff were great. The food however let it down. I ordered the southern fried chicken and my partner had a chicken burger. We both left the majority of the chicken as it’s the worst I’ve tasted. I’ve visited cheap fast food restaurants after a night out and would have expected this kind of chicken from them but from somewhere well established and well known Costing around £20 each, I would’ve expected a higher standard of food. Really disappointed as the chips, gravy, drinks, service and place itself were great xxxxx
nice pleasant atmosphere! Food amazing! ... currently sat at their bar writing this review! Didn’t want to leave after our meal!
Great food and drinks, good service. Music right off my own playlist. Quirky place, would def recommend.
It was very nice and great customer service thank you
Over all great place and deffo will be returning soon
Amazing atmosphere, food is brilliant (highly recommend the salt and pepper gravy chips)
Great food great beers and a brilliant house band. The staff are excellent can’t recommend the place highly enough
The burgers were very good. The live music was entertaining too
Amazing food and service. The food is just to die for . Definitely a must visit if your in Liverpool.
We had a really good family celebration- I was really pleasantly surprised by the vegan meal which was delicious, and the vegan nachos. Others had steak which they said was excellent. Something for everyone!
Amazing food, lovely staff and fabulous live band. I came here on a recommendation from a friend and I’ll be sure to recommend this to others.
Definitely quirky throughly enjoyed the experience would definitely recommend and re visit.
Great place to eat. Good fantastic and alcoholic milkshakes very nice. Great little hidden gem of Liverpool
The walk to the restaurant was around 15 minutes from Lime street, well worth walking out of the way for. Lovely atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Started with the lasagne bites and my partner got the hauloumi which were both absolutely gorgeous, at a price of £6 we didn’t mind paying. We then decided to order our mains meals, which was a bit of a mistake! The main was again gorgeous but couldn’t finish it all as we was so full from the starters! I think maybe next time we would either just pick one or the other. Overall the bill came to around £45 which is decent for 2 courses and 2 rounds of drinks. Only flaw would be that the staff aren’t very chatty, minimal interactions, maybe that’s just the way of the restaurant. We’ll be returning either way!
The food and staff were amazing, really reasonably priced with a great cocktail menu. Didn't expect the live music, which was nice the band were great however it was just a bit loud
Lovely place to eat with amazing food, drinks and staff.
All of us absolutely loved it. Food is tasty and really well priced. Definitely will be back!
Lovely food and great live music on a Saturday night!! Will be back for the tator tots!
Great service, excellent food... lasagne bites are beaut! Live music... definitely be back
Couldn’t fault a single thing! Had starter main and dessert! And a cocktail.
Lovely experience with nice food and decent prices, I'd visit again if there were more vegan options :)
Loved it! Best burger I have had in ages and the presentation was brilliant! Great location and the theme/decor was spot on. Really friendly staff and will deffo go again when in Liverpool! :)
great food, friendly helpful staff and brilliant theme. Particularly loved the alcoholic milkshakes.
loved the food the people and the theme simply a boss place to eat
food was fabulous, the portions fantastic the drinks rather expensive for a "can" sat on a rickety church pew what was far from comfortable but the food was more than worth the discomfort.
Even though we booked a table. We arrived to no table and I requested something to decorate the table for a friends birthday bu there was nothing. The food was amazing though.
Great food, the lasagna bites are addictively good. Last time we went they had quality live music and the staff had the perfect level of attentiveness where we could order drinks, food and then more drinks easily without them pestering us too much. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again.
Speedy service from a wide selection. Live music was a real bonus. Good atmosphere and very well treated by all the staff. Highly recommended for all types of occasions.
The food was good, staff gave great service, music was also good. it was good value for money so I would definitely come here again.
Food was really nice enjoyed the starters, would come again. Had the lasagne bites and Texas toast for starter and chicken burger for main all was really nice.
Lovely food great service interesting surroundings ideal for a meal with our teenage boys thank you very much. More vegetarian and less fiery options would be great cheers! X
This is the 2nd time I’ve been to Death row and on both occasions it hasn’t disappointed. Good food and quick service. I will be back.
Staff really friendly. Nice atmosphere. There was a live band and Ferris buller s day off was playing in the background. Food lovely very filling, although pretty salty which I like but I was drinking loads quickly, and this soon bumps up the bill. Would be a good idea to have refill soda drinks. Crinkle chips amazing. We couldn't eat it all so asked for a doggy bag to take home. Reasonably priced. Overall really enjoyed it.
It was amazing the service was great and the food was amazing. I would say the price for some of the food was quite expensive but I would 100% recommend the death row diner to my friends and family
Really enjoyed the atmosphere here! We made our way through the cocktails which were fabulous!! My only issue with our experience is I’d booked us in for valentines and not realised or been made aware there would be a limited menu on the night.
Great atmosphere, very friendly and quick service and the food was amazing. We’ve been waiting ages to go there but a number of reasons never got round to it. Glad we went and will be going back again very soon. Highly recommended!
valentine's day i had booked here on line for an early bite to eat before we went to the comedy club at 7. we arrived there for 5 clock and were seated promptly, drinks order taken as we were deciding on food ect, we opted to go for the valentines menu it seemed good value for £26.50. shared starter was ok at best cauliflower was horrible dipped in something bbq sauce/ vinegar/ oil not really sure to be honest, the main i had chicken and bacon burger which was nice except it had gravy on it which would have been nice but had so much salt it i was unable to finish it, my wife had chicken and chips same gravy same problem, pudding was dunkin donuts with chocolate sauce and custard sounded good was the only choice so we had that, donuts were 5 cubes between two of us and a pot of each sauce, tasted good but not what we were expecting , we had a few drinks as you can would expect with all that salt milk shake and a few sodas ,we called for the bill and were shocked to find that the £26.50 was per person (didn't say that on the menu) the mains we had were £10.90 each on the main menu so it would have been cheaper by a long way to order everything separate , we will not be going back again as you can get this type of food at much better quality a lot less than £68
A fabulous place to eat and relax. Great food, would recommend the lasagna bites, cracking shakes, the staff are lovely as well. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Food was amazing, they had a special valentines menu on that was really good value. wait staff were so friendly and good at their jobs. Cool vibe, good music, I'll definitely go back again.
The Food was lovely, staff were very helpful and friendly, great atmosphere as they had a live band on when we where there. Overall great!
Very grungy with great food. Right up my sons Street. Oh and good live music. Limited choice of wine but good beer selection. Would recommend to a friend
The staff were amazing and so polite and accommodating! The food was amazing and the live music was really cool and gave it a good atmosphere. I would definitely recommend the lasagna bites and the chicken burger they were so tasty!
