As usual, lovely food and friendly service. Love Daniel's bistro. And with a great deal of two steaks for the price of one on Wednesdays, who can resist?
What a wonderful restaurant! Food was absolutely delicious, the service was excellent and Daniel was charming! My steak, in particular was beautifully cooked. Highly recommend.
A warm welcoming environment, the waiting staff could not be more attentive & pleasant, the food was nothing less than Michelin star & reasonably priced,as a party of 8 family members including 3 children everybody left very contented the owner Daniel & chef came out to speak to us & asked if everything was ok we could not be happier will definitely be returning in the future 😀😀
Excellent food and service I would highly recommend this venue. We eat out regularly and Daniels is in the top 3. In my mind better than and of the Michelin starred places we've visited
Busy little restaurant which has a lot of potential but misses the mark on a couple of things. Staff very friendly but the service is slow
Good menu, reasonably priced, but the food was mixed quality. Service was very slow even though the bistro was not full. Selection of wines was good but only one beer was available.
Unbelievable food!!' Me and my girlfriend visited on a Sunday and went for the 3 course meal which is great value for money, the beef was superb
Daniels is the hidden gem of Moseley. Great food & service. Serves possibly the best steaks in the area. Couldn't fault anything. Will definitely be going back.
We had another really good evening here. Both the food and the service are excellent. Very convenient location in the middle of Moseley. Highly recommended.
We love this place, we have never had a bad experience. Last night I had steak and my partner had the lamb, both cooked to perfection. The service is great, the atmosphere relaxed and the prices very reasonable for the high standard of produce and preparation. Excellent.
We eat here a fair bit, its one of our favourite places. The food is always excellent, fresh, high quality ingredients and great presentation. The atmosphere is good, subdued and it is easy to hold a conversation and the staff are always helpful and happy. The chef is obviously very serious about good food and his reputation and it shows.
Nice food but quite sterile place with little/ no atmosphere. Also, only one beer on offer which was disappointing. Might be good in a group.
Having read reviews for this restaurant I had high expectations, but I left very disappointed. The waiter appeared uninterested and lacked any personality. The first course took an hour from ordering to be brought to the table and the main course (blade of beef) was dry around the edges as if left under the hot lamp unloved for too long. This could be excused if the venue was busy, but it wasn't. Would I return? No I wouldn't, having spent £20 in a lovely Indian restaurant the night before for a meal for two, the £80 for my meal for Three at Daniels was very poor value for money. Restaurants come and go and if Daniel's doesn't raise it's game, it will surely disappear. It's a 3 out of 10 i'm afraid in my books. I could and can cook better myself at home!
Seven of us went for Sunday lunch and had two courses for £13.95 (I think that was the price!). I had the mozzarella tart first which was very tasty then the roast beef. It was spectacular! Very tender and flavoursome. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Would go again.
Great rump steak and a brilliant price with the Wednesday night 2-4-1!! Will definitely be going back for some more steak and wine very soon!
Quirky little place with great food....excellent value for money comes highly recommended - easy parking at the front....superb menu for vegetarians which is unusual as an alternative meaty Sunday lunch!!
The food was really good and the waiting staff were also excellent. Using their set menu offer, it was really good value also. Will definitely return
Me and the wife , had Sunday lunch two courses for 13.95. I had soup and the good lady had pâté for starters both really nice and then I had the beef dinner and the wife had the fish ,, both spot on.. not much as in selection of beers,,but went for dinner not the beer ,
Been a few times lovely food. It's nice to go to an individual restraint instead of a chain. Deffernatly worth a visit also reasonable. Should support more small restraints.
Again, we had a fantastic food experience, this is the best place with a excellent menu and great staff. The quality of the meat is amazing and there is a full veggie menu too. I can not praise Daniels highly enough. Keep up the good work and thank you.
The food was clean, fresh and just all round delicious. I'm an awkward eater but the credit really does need to go to the chef here. The service could have been quicker (not for the food- you wait for fresh) by the waiter BUT this is a small bistro therefore consideration needs to be considered to the waiter who was doing all the tables on his own. Would love to go back at a different seasonal time to see what new things I can try.
The food was very nice cud not fault it, but it was a sat night and we were the only dinners spoilt the experience. That was the only criticism
A wonderfull restaurant in the heart of Moseley. The food was excellent. Had all 3 courses and could not fault any of it. The service was efficient and friendly.
Really good food and we especially enjoyed the peanut butter cheesecake. It took a while for the food to come but it was definitely worth waiting for.
Service extremely slow. Well over an hour before starter arrived. Food ok but nothing special, very expensive for what we had. Wish we had heeded reviews and not bothered.
We visit Daniels regularly and we have never been disappointed, it serves excellent food with service to match. This really is a hidden gem in Moseley and the love that Daniel puts into his menu is evident.....................even his chips are top notch! Last night I had fillet steak and it literally melted in the mouth and the banoffee pie was the stuff of dreams. Very high standards continually. All food is freshly prepared, you will not get served in 10 minutes with a micro heated dish, be prepared to wait for fantastic food.
Got to be one of the best meals I have had in moseley. Food cooked to perfection along with good service. Going to try the Sunday lunch next can't wait.
Food was lovely! I hope it gets busier for them, as they do deserve to do well. Would definitely go again! Thank you for a lovely meal.
Lovely food. Used to come here when it was Nathaniels and is just as good now. Gourmet society discount (2 for 1 on 3 courses) makes it excellent prices.
We visited again last night and it was fantastic, it always is. What an amazing find this place was. The food is glorious and the staff are excellent. Last night I had the trio of beef, cooked to perfection and my partner had the lamb, ditto. Parking tip, the nearest place to park is the car park opposite The Dark Horse pub and then a 2 min walk to Daniels. Keep up the good work Daniel.
Polite staff and a very friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious and the two for one steak offer on a Wednesday is such good value. Will be returning very soon!
Lovely food - somewhat lacking in atmosphere (maybe it was an unusually quiet night) Very nice wine and main coursea and deserts Beautifully cooked steak
This is a lovely restaurant. Food is not cutting edge but beautifully cooked and delicious. The chicken liver starter was a real highlight and the pepper sauce with the fillet steak was utterly decadent. It is a small, intimate restaurant that charms. Wine list was reasonably priced with the usual suspects (malbec and steak always a winner) although they were out of stock of a fair few items on our visit. To summarise, decent food, well executed and very reasonably priced. What's not to like?
Brilliant food and great choice on the menu with a pleasant atmosphere. This was our second visit to Daniel's bistro and it was even better than the first.
We enjoyed excellent food during our visit. The service was good and the atmosphere felt right. There was a good variety of food on the menu. Very enjoyable.
Very pleasant, local brasserie - food was good, wine list not up-to-date but had a pleasant evening and want this sort of restaurant to continue to survive. Will return.
amazing standard of food and very reasonably priced. Really chilled atmosphere. All about the food so seemed to be limited choice / knowledge regarding the drinks, but if you know what you want, that doesn't matter. Would highly recommend - especially the prawn starter, as long as you like some chilli.
The food, service and wine were excellent but we were the only 2 people there on a Friday night! Reasonably priced and very good quality.
Great Sunday lunch. Watched by nice wine and good service.
