Incredible food, wonderful atmosphere, very friendly staff. I can't wait until my next visit here. I had a special request to make date night with my girlfriend a bit special and the staff were very accommodating.

Da Paolo never fails to deliver. Excellent food , service and the jovial Carlos. Situated in a busy side street with plenty of outside sitting. A winner.

We booked a table to celebrate a special occasion. The staff were welcoming and attentive. There were plenty of dishes to choose from and a specials board. I had a large caprese salad followed by pappardelle all'anatra. The pasta was fresh with a large portion of duck sauce. My husband had bresaola then wild boar pasta. The portions were generous leaving no room for desserts. We thought our meal was good value and we would definitely return.

70% of this establishment are local Italians, so the good is as expected to be of a high quality and standard, it is off the beaten track with only about 5% of tourist do not low standards here at all. Super dry bottle of Pulia wine complimented one of the most amazing Italians meal we have had in the UK. Freindly, at tentative and happy owner and staff. Big thumbs up 100% recommendation and will definitely be going back and taking others with us.

Great find. We have been here before. Cosy upstairs and room downstairs. The service is excellent and the food? Well, the portions are amazing and the tastes wonderful. Dinner for three (bread and oil, starters, mains and one dessert) with a bottle of wine for £150 including service is just about right. A definite recommend from us.

Intimate classic Italian restaurant, providing both excellent quality food and equally good service. Staff are friendly as well as efficient. The tiny kitchen manages to turn out some perfectly cooked pasta dishes, we also had great grilled beef and good value wine from good makers We liked the fact that the tablecloths were laid with linen, the ambience lively but not too loud. Good value in the middle of London

Booked this restaurant for my birthday. 9 of us dined downstairs and had a very good meal with great service. Our waitress and her assistant (in training) were very attentive. The food was delicious, particularly the Burrata and all pasta dishes. Looking forward to returning

A great authentic Italian restaurant, tucked away on a quiet little street. Lovely friendly atmosphere and staff. Delicious food with a good range of vegetarian options. Also have gluten free pasta and will even prepare a pasta dish on request if you don't see what you like. Easy walking distance of the West End so great for pre-theatre dining. Prices pretty standard for London. A real gem, definitely be going back.

Excellent food. Very large portions. Great ambience and atmosphere. A little gem in central London but don't go there if you don't want to hear the conversation at the next table as it is cramped but do go there for the food! We loved it. Try to get a table on the ground floor not in the basement.

Rather old fashioned. Food was reasonable but not very memorable. Felt like an Italian restaurant from the 1970s and food was slightly of that era.

The food is excellent and the decor is delightful. Prices are reasonable. Service is quite slow when it is busy but everything is freshly cooked. My one complaint is that I was not allowed to book a particular table on the ground floor, was made to go downstairs where I was told it was less noisy, and it became extremely noisy. Perhaps they are more accommodating early in the week. If not...

Overall we enjoyed the early evening meal after a visit to a theatre. One moan though, the fixed price menu on the back was just for 4 people but there was 8 of us. Spoke to the manager but was told it was the rules but couldn't explain why it was the rule. In reality the dishes could be ordered off the main menu and there wasn't much difference in the overall price. Shame that this slightly irritated us all. I would suggest you have a separate fixed price menu that you don't give to parties of grater than 4 to avoid this situation or preferably scrap this silly rule.

Went to Da Paolo to celebrate my 60th birthday. It is a small establishment but with a lovely atmosphere and very friendly and efficient staff. The food was excellent and reasonably priced for London. Will definitely go there again when we next visit.
