Côte Brighton restaurant

The Setting was great, The food was delicious, however the service was quite slow. The Complimentary bday treat was lovely though. Thank you very much.

Very slow service - 35 minutes to get drinks when others who ordered after us got there's first Breakfast came out in instalments 2 meals were wrong - I asked for a bacon baguette - came out with egg on it - I asked for no egg! They took it away- scraped the egg off and gave it back to me when I should have had a fresh one made

Had a lovely evening. Staff very friendly and the food as always was very good. Even changed a dish for one person who could not eat the croutons due to a tooth having been filled! Definitely a favourite place to eat.

the tables were too closely packed together , we were served hot wine but this had to be changed , the waiter was very pleasant and tried his best .

the service was good as ever. the asparagus risotto was a little bit stodgy, and not up to the usual standard that is expected from Cote.

Lovely food as always, as well as great service. It was just a bit to hot hence why they did not get top marks. Better air conditioning would be amazing.

Great service, gorgeous setting. Great location for pre show dinner and the food was phenomenal! Perfectly cooked duck! Will definitely be coming back very soon

Bit noisy, bit busy and service was not brilliant. Food was very good with a wide choice available. One of our waitresses ended her shift half way through our order and we had to reorder drinks which were forgotten about. However we would probably go again at a less busy time.

A very nice restaurant, with great staff and lovely food, booked on line, very easy, nothing more needs to be said about this restaurant .

Excellent service and first class food, delicious!!! Frequently visit and never disappointed. Ideal restaurant if booked for theatre or cocert because of the reliability of service you know you won't be in a panic to eat in time for the performance!

Great food and service as always Love the calamari best around. Lovely atmosphere and always made to feel very welcome by the front of house staff.

Two of our party had the tuna salad which turned out to be over cooked rather like leather. The service was also very poor - I had to go and look for the waitress on three occasions.

We were a party of ten. Service was excellent - a relief as it hasn't always been good in the past. The food was excellent, especially the desserts. All in all, a very pleasing dining experience.

Excellent meal, thoroughly enjoyed. Friendly and patient staff. Service was swift despite the restaurant becoming busy. We will certainly be returning and recommending Cote to friends.

Lovely restaurant, great staff, nothing too much trouble. Atmosphere is lovely, great location. One of my favourite restaurants in Brighton. We use this venue lots of times. Have booked Cote in Salisbury for our Christmas trip.

All round excellent experience . Abience , cleanliness, performance of all staff, outstanding food and all performed in a timely manner. Well done Cote. Will be back again for sure.

Always a good atmosphere at Cote Brighton. The food was the normal high standard and the service attentive. In fact, today I probably had my best meal ever at Cote..

I am a regular diner at Cote and have been since it opened. I find the service is always cheerful and attentive and the food most acceptable.

We ere after a quick supper after work and had a lovely seat near window, great service and tasty food and wine. What more could you want!

I wanted a starter off the two course menu but was told I would have to pay for two courses even if i only had one

Service was pleasant but erratic, one side never arrived and we had to re-order one desert. Food was bland and rather dry. So, OK but nothing special

Best place in Brighton......we go regularly from Worthing as nothing like it there. Waiting for one to open here! Very good value and good service.

you know what you're getting at Cotes and the brighton one does not disappoint. Plus you are just yards from the Dome and the pavilion.

I have been going to Brighton Cote since it opened some years ago. Today I was joined by friends from college. We had trained as teachers back in the 1970s so had plenty to talk about! As usual the food was very good and the staff's service was excellent.

Good service , good food ,working mans price . Cote provide consistency in the culinary battle , and rival John Lewis for quality staff . Well done

Nice meal although two fillet steaks a little overcooked for 'medium' and no time to reorder. Otherwise a nice meal up to the standard we have come to expect at Cote.

A warm welcome on arrival. Food was excellent. Good ambience in the busy room. Our waiter, Jean-Victor, went about his job with efficiency and bonhomie. His service was faultless. Cote ticks all the boxes.

Unrushed service. Food was cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere and even though busy were given the table of our choice. Good selection from the menus.

Lovely meal, crab was light and fresh, chicken cooked perfectly, and strawberry ice cream that tasted like strawberries professional staff led to a lovely afternoon

I was extremely impressed with all aspects of my recent visit to Cote. The service was incredibly quick and efficient, particularly considering how busy the restuarant was. We were approached for drinks orders within a few minutes of being seated. When we asked for five more minutes to decide on meals, the hostess returned with perfect timing (my experience in other restaurants has been that if you ask for "a few more minutes" you will be lucky to see your host return at all unless you flag them down). Food was delicious (fantastic steak!), wine list is great, and staff were extremely friendly and clearly knowledgeable about the menu. I will definitely be returning. Thank you for providing such an exellent dining experience :)

Our only criticism was that it was very noisy today as there were too many mishaps; one of our starters was smashed falling to the floor en route to the table so there was a minor delay in commencing our meal. This was shortly followed by the clatter of a salt grinder having been knocked off the bar and only a few minutes after that, out of sight, another crash indicated yet another accident. Otherwise the food was up to standard and the staff cheerful and willing.

Service a little slow to start but after that all was FAB! As always. Great value on the set menu, good wine at reasonable prices, great service. Always feel so welcome there. While it is a chain, it never feels like one. it is always a favourite of ours.

Very good bistro food. Unpretentious, well cooked and presented. Attentive friendly service. Great location for the Dome and theatres. Would have rated a six if at least one vegan option for each course and if sparkling water not so expensive.

Always good standard fayre. Service good. Would benefit from a fixed price menu available at all times. The traditional french dishes are often the best.

Could have been better. Waiter a bit cool, brought the wrong wine, a glass with a huge lipstick stain and a menu for an offer that wasn't actually running. Food only okay not as good as other Cotes I have been to.

Friendly welcome, great atmosphere, generous portions and tasty food. Service was attentive but not in your face. Spent a long time chatting and the team were happy for us to leave us to it, bringing more bottles of the Cremant when we needed them! We'll be back, I am sure!

A very nice luncheon with a friend before a theatre visit. However the publicised two or three course lunch at a set price didn't seem to me to be very obvious, and our one course each, one miniscule pot of fries, one wine and a soft drink far exceeded my planned budget. There was also an amount for service which was added into the final amount and, because I didn't want to look fussy as I was treating my friend, I simply asked them to take the full amount. On examining the bill at home I would certainly not have added nearly £6 to my bill for service. The staff were all attentive and friendly but I had to ask three times for a little bread to accompany my meal. Once bitten, twice shy, I would probably not go back again.

We always enjoy our experience at Cote but the omelettes were a little rubbery, should have been softer. Apart from that, the service and ambience was excellent. We had a particularly nice young man serving us.

Very good indeed, excellent service from the maitre d and both waiters. The food was great. The only developmental area was, their could have been more vegetables supplied with the main course. Overall a great experience.

Good food today and nice to sit out in the garden on such a sunny day with shade to keep us cool. We enjoyed the lunchtime specials at £12.95 for three courses. Very good value for money.

Great welcome. flexible enough to cope with different diners at different times with different dinning requirements. Good food and good service with a smile. what else is there to say?

The staff provided excellent service and the food was excellent food. We enjoyed al fresco dining in the courtyard which was a very lucky extra treat.

\We were given a choice of seating. The staff were lovely and the food/wine delicious. My husband finds the stairs to the toilets difficult, so the waiter pointed out the disabled toilet on the ground floor. I know it's not much to most people, but it made a huge difference in that he was able to relax.

I find that Cote always provides consistently good quality food. The staff are welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The venue of the Brighton restaurant is also a beautiful setting. Would highly recommend.
