Stunning food as always & great service. No concerns with social distancing & yet it still felt like normal

1st time back for sometime. Had a lovely meal as always.

Our second meal out since January. A wonderful meal, service exceptional, a relaxing experience. Thank you all.

Friendly welcome and a very easy and efficient booking process. We really enjoyed our lunch. Service was courteous and capable. We all enjoyed our meals although my husband selected a fillet steak and salad which wasn’t as good as expected (flavoursome but chewy). To the credit of staff and management, his concerns were quickly responded to.

Review covers two consecutive days 24th-25th August 24th August Tuesday at 430pm booking, roasted belly pork was not available may be others as I next selected fish parmentier 25th August at 3.30pm Wednesday roasted pork belly not available again, plus two lamb lion chops and whole sea-bream also not available . That is 3 unavailable dishes , half, of the 7 'fish meat' courses menu . The restaurant was not lightly loaded with customers on either occasion., as witness the noise level. I have used Côte Brighton and others towns/cities for years , this is unacceptable and .....using government funds to draw customers in ! I have another booking for Monday 31st August and I will be there for lunch opening , if same again, I will cancel. and part company with Côte, sine-die

Staff here always so friendly and nice. Food excellent and tasty 😋. All staff seem to take pride in what they do 👍 Have never had a bad meal yet.

Another really great meal at this regular favourite of ours. First time since Covid and it felt like they had done a great job in spacing the tables appropriately and although a couple of things had been removed from the menu, it didn't feel restricted at all. I felt for the staff having to communicate through the visors they were being made to wear - these are by far the hardest we have ever seen in terms of communication. We could hardly hear a word they were saying! They couldn't have been nicer over a small mistake on my very-fussy son's burger - even taking something off the bill - thank you for a lovely evening and for putting up with that PPE!

To everyone at Coates Brighton. Thank you so very very much for a wonderful night. We celebrated our 12th anniversary last night and had an incredible time. You made it so special from the moment we Stepped inside to the moment we left. Thank you to all the team. We can’t praise you enough. If I could give 10 stars I would.

We had a meal this evening at Cote for my birthday. I went with my husband and daughters (who are 10 and 6) I can't thank the staff enough for a lovely relaxed, yet still special meal. We were really well looked after by our server, who made it special by realising it was my birthday and proffering a courtesy kir royale right at the start. The kids menu is great, my girls were spoilt for choice. We all loved the food, the ambiance is just perfect....it feels smart but still relaxed. Even though all the staff were in visors (excellent coronavirus precautions) it didn't feel too strange. All in all, we had a great time!

Cote has been my favourite restaurant for many years .I hadn't been for a while due to lockdown . I was entertaining a friend for lunch .I had the grilled chicken with mushroom sauce . The chicken breast was very small & the mushroom sauce was very short of mushrooms , maybe half a small mushroom & barely enough sauce for the small breast . The portions were larger when you used to do the fixed price menu .I didn't think it was value for money & will think twice about booking again .

I enjoy eating at Côte Brasserie because you provide fantastic consistency in your food. No good days, no bad days. One has complete confidence when ordering as you know what you’re going to get and you’re never disappointed. Great staff, prompt service - what is there not to like? Thank you and well done.

Long-time customers of this consistently reliable restaurant. This was the first time we had dined since lockdown restrictions were lifted and it was an excellent meal. Staff were polite, accommodating and helpful as ever....highly recommended !

Very disappointed with our meals this time. I had goats cheese salad which was mainly lettuce, small piece cheese, hardly any roasted veggies and tough fennel. My husband had minute steak which normally good was over cooked and tough. Was looking forward to going as 1st time out for meal for 6 months!

Food and surroundings very good, just what we have come to expect from Cote.

We had an excellent meal in a beautiful dining room. The staff were welcoming and very friendly. We could not fault it.

Great venue with lovely garden plus the food and service is very good. Would recommend this brasserie to anyone.

The Brighton Cote is a lovely restaurant and staff are generally super friendly and attentive. I took my sister, son, niece and her fiancé for an early dinner. Whilst most of the food and wine was of a very high standard (there were 5 of us celebrating my niece selecting her wedding dress) the burgers and the buns arrived dry. My son and sister couldn’t eat them. I mentioned this to one of the team and another burger roll was brought out for my son. I would have expected more in terms of desire to make sure the two meals were satisfactory. My sister are about half her burger though my son (13 yo) left his. This is really disappointing particularly as I then had to cook for my sister and son when we got home.

We use Cote any time we are in Brighton - a few times a year. The food is usually very good and reasonably priced. Would love to see Sea Bass reinstated on the menu. The staff are very friendly, polite and very attentive to any requests re food allergies/intolerance.

Amazing service and wonderful food. Just wish there could be more vegetarian/vegan options as the menu is very limited. Overall, lovely restaurant.

We just had the best long ladies lunch, food was fabulous, waiting staff were so kind and helpful- a lovely time for friends that truly needed a relaxed catch up post lockdown - the outdoor seating was marvellous space to be in. A wonderful time!

Iam a regular at Cote and it’s my favourite restaurant.The Staff,atmosphere and food is exceptional.

Had an amazing birthday meal at Cote last night, the food, drinks and atmosphere were all lovely and our waitress Michaela looked after us wonderfully.

Came for lunch with young granddaughter and all staff lovely. Quick efficient service. Felt calm and safe. Thank you.

Our server was wonderful! We didn’t catch her name but she was heavily pregnant as am I! She made us feel very comfortable and offered lots of suggestions we ended up having 3 courses! The only thing that could have been better is the music needed to be louder, you couldn’t hear it over everyone in the restaurant talking.

Excellent in every way. Very safe; very well distanced; staff lovely as always ( Michaela was particularly good ) and the food we know and love, same as ever. First visit back since March. Couldn't fault it.

We always have a good time at Cote. Mainly the lovely staff who are always so attentive & friendly. I realise these are difficult time but at the moment they're is no vegetarian menu. A good idea would be to put a few vege meals on the main menu instead. Did not spoil a wonderful evening. The room needs to be a little brighter, it would be nice to see your guest's Geoff Pope

We enjoyed a very nice lunch. Our 1st foray into Brighton since lock down started in March. We though that the way Cote was dealing with the social distancing was very re assuring. You demonstrate that safe dining is possible. Well done.

No steak tartar.... Disappointing. I went especially for it as the best I have had.

Usual nice atmosphere and well-thought out menu. Service was rather slow but given covid that is understandable. The haddock goujons were a bit dry but other courses up to standard. Wines were a little pricey - £25-30 for a bottle of Rose. Staff friendly and attentive.

Fantastic, attentive, polite and speedy service. Beautiful building in keeping with Parisian flair. Food was prompt and well presented. It is perhaps not the most exciting quality of French food, but very tasty all the same. Thanks
