The set menu is a fantastic deal & the food excellent as always,we like to eat early so the restaurant isn't that full but nowhere in town could you eat better food its fab
Excellent food and service. The pre-theatre menu is very good value for money. Drinks prices not bad either. Lovely comfortable surroundings. Would definitely book again.
Fantastic food. Great service. Lovely choice of food on the a la carte menu. I enjoyed the fish stew with a lovely selection of shell fish and a very flavoursome sauce. My friend chose half a chicken with frites and a mushroom sauce. Great atmosphere in a very stylish restaurant.
Went in for breakfast at 9:30 am. Great friendly welcome as soon as we arrived. Had a choice of tables, all of which were ready laid out. Restaurant looked great. Food arrived well presented and hot. Tasted great and filled us up for our day. The only place we go to for breakfast in Brighton.
Pre theatre meal, selected from the A La Carte, everything from initial welcome to drinks, food and paying the bill were excellent, highly recommend a visit.
It was great as usual - seated where we wanted to be, our waiter was patient with us due to 2 people in our party was running late for lunch. Food were superb as always, the 2/3 course menu costs a bit more now but still affordable, ala carte prices were ok. Would have given 6 stars, however, my nephew has to ask twice for his dessert to be served. Overall, an amazing birthday lunch - we were able to celebrate with a free bottle of Merlot, thanks Cotè..see you again soon!
We had a lovely meal and the staff were very attentive and polite. A good atmosphere in the restaurant as always. One of our favourite restaurants in Brighton
The food was good as usual but staff not so attentive, it was Saturday very early evening but no so busy that you had to keep trying to catch someone's eye to order
Lovely food and atmosphere, not bad service ,reasonable prices ( lunch menu 3 courses £13.50 ) However was desapointed that no diabetic dessert or cheese on offer on the menu !
I am a regular at Cote in Brighton, as it is an ideal venue for a pre-theatre or concert meal. This visit did not disappoint and the food and service was as good and consistent as ever. In this authentic french-style bistro, the ambience is virtually guaranteed, as even at 5.30 pm the place is busy, and the beauty and decor of the building never fail to impress - oozing charm and glamour. A perennial favourite that I never grow tired of.
Excellent meal with great service!! My husband and I both enjoyed our food and we have already booked again to return to Côte with friends.
Restaurant well designed, sophisticated decor and tables well set . Staff friendly, attentive and efficient. Food well above average.. Would recommend this restaurant to friends.
Great as always. Good food, great service. Never rushed. An all time favourite. Everything we had tonight was good. Good atmosphere. Got the table I requested.
Had the table we requested. The service was fine but table to small for four people , 1/2 of my mains was barly warm, the wine was on the bill when it was part of an offer, so this embarrassed the payer having to query it, though resolved quickly, otherwise the experience was ok
The food and service were excellent despite the restaurant being very busy/full. All weighting staff and managerial / greeters were extremely polite and enthusiastic / attentive. Highly recommend anyone to go for any occasion - a Pre theatre or special event/occasion. My family regularly eat here and even when things haven't been perfect - the senior staff have been gracious and understanding and always look to put things right. It is THE place to eat in Brighton - for us anyway 😀
Côte has definitely become our number one choice for restaurants when dining with our infant son. Staff are very attentive and accommodating. The food is good and well presented.
The service was good, food choice excellent. Only one problem the acoustics are not good so it is almost impossible to have a good conversation. That is the only fauly
Excellent service recovery as unfortunately we had a few problems with a rude waitress, who did eventually appolgise. I dealt with the restaurant manager who was superb in dealing with the problem and treated me with great respect and also was very professional in the way she dealt with the staff member leaving her with respect as well. This has retained me as a loyal customer. The normal high standard of cuisine.
We took up the November offer of a free bottle of wine with 2 main courses. The sauvignon was very drinkable and well chilled. We both had the 'specials', Cassoulet for her and pan roasted Cod for me. We were happy with our choices and the food was nicely cooked. The restaurant was busy but staff were helpful in changing my choice of seating area, friendly and the service was good.
Up to usual high standard. One complaint, the spinach side dish was not good, tasted tinned. My wife could not eat it. Apart from that very enjoyable meal.
As always, very polite and excellent service. We had the 2 course special and is great value for money. We would happily recommend this Côte in Brighton
Was very busy but the food came out promptly and was very nice. Waited a little longer than expected for our aperitifs, but other than that, service was lovely.
I can only comment on the Brighton Cote as only eaten here but a regular customer. The food is always good here as well as the service. Currently my favourite place to eat.
We had a fantastic meal before a show we were going to see at the Dome in Brighton. Great service great food great atmosphere. Never disappoints!
The setting is -as always -great and service good. The food however was a bit disappointing compared to usual- maybe just a busy night. Will still go back but hope it will back to its usual standard next time
An enjoyable visit: food perhaps not outstanding, but certainly good and well-priced. Staff friendly and charming as always, and dealt with one hiccup quickly and efficiently.
Went for a family meal on Sunday afternoon. Restaurant was full but both food and service were great considering how busy they were. Top marks!
Good food. 28 minutes before being offered our first drink, not even busy. Waiter later said he'd be back to take wine order in '1 minute', 10 minutes later I got up and ordered myself. First time service hasn't been great.
Service very slow. Food however was exceptional. Wine nice once the cork had been taken out 10 minutes after it was given to us. Never mind.
Good food and service. We visited on a busy Sunday lunch time, so the restaurant was quite noisy, but having been before we excpected this, it makes for a good atmosphere. We wold certainly return.
Very good service as usual. Very tasty food served by a very helpful waiter. Always a good atmosphere and busy We look forward to our next visit.
It was easy to book on line. Offered a choice of 3 tables which was good. Food excellent. Super evening and we will return for Christmas staff meal
Excellent service, food and enjoyed ourselves as always. Etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc. I think asking for 25 words is a bit over the top!
Saturday night at Cote was not good Staff seemed rushed and the service was a bit hit and miss, some very long waits Onion soup was cold on arrival, unfortunately the white wine was not ! The worst experience we have had at any Cote in our 3 years of going
Good atmosphere , relaxed and friendly and helpful staff. The food was very good quality and delicious. A good menu too. We will eat here again.
Great on Sunday choosing from the A La Carte Menu, and great Monday to Friday choosing from the "Meal Deal". Very friendly and professional staff and prompt service.
We've eaten at Cote several times and never had a bad experience. Food arrived fast and was excellent. Staff were attentive and very pleasant. Would return again.
The most reliable restaurant in Brighton. There's always something we fancy on the menu, and the specials are always tempting. Lovely room, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good food.
Went at lunch time and the place was heaving. As usual, the food was excellent and the service was great. A great place to spend a leisurely meal with family and friends.
Fantastic. Great food 🤗 And great service too. All the way from Eastbourne and well worth the trip. Brilliant table waiter who was very helpful. Thank you. 😬
The set menu was a bit disappointing/bland/small and the 12.5% mandatory service charge is a bit steep! Lovely venue and I would stick to the a la carte menu in future.
Very accommodating staff. My father has hearing difficulties and they went out of their way to find us a quiet table. Acoustics not great in this particular Cote but the food is of good quality and ptpretty good value for money.
I visited Cote Brighton last weekend with three friends. The restaurant is conveniently situated in the city centre, the staff were very friendly and efficient staff, the food excellent all in all it's a lovely pre theatre venue - what's not to like!?!
Always a great experience . Attentive , friendly staff ( who do their job so unobtrusively ) Lovely food and fab surroundings . Will be back soon !
We are regulars at Cote but last night although not very busy the service was slow with a long wait for the main course. Also the person who served us wasn't as attentive as we have come to expect from Cote.
Never had a bad meal here staff are very helpfull and friendly highly recommend this wonderful establishment. Great atmosphere great staff and overall great experience
Staff very attentive, food delicious and well presented and very good value for the 2 course lunch option. I always fine Cote a good choice for value and quality of food.
Service can inevitably be a bit slow at very busy times, like 90 minutes before a show across the road at The Dome. So allow more time if you want a pudding.
Great meal again - doesn't let me down - will be back again soon. New autumn menu includes coq au vin which was very yummy
We enjoyed our meal but we didn’t get our coffee on time as we had to leave for the theatre. The staff were very busy.
