Côte Brighton restaurant

Had the lunch menu.. highly recommended excellent service food very good and a great atmosphere.

A bit slow in serving food after we've ordered (about 30 minutes) but otherwise no complaints. Great venue (upstairs is preferable to downstairs, but that's my taste) and very nice staff: Polite, professional and a good sense of humour even in a busy pre-Christmas environment. And yes: we will go back!!!

The food at Côte is always reliable and our latest visit was no exception – my chicken main course could have been hotter but it wasn't bad enough to send back. It was obviously a very busy, pre-Christmas night but service was very good. I just wish they could have quietened down the extremely noisy table not far from us.

I ate here with a group of friends on a busy evening. We enjoyed wonderful food, in a lovely chic atmosphere, with friendly and attentive staff

Lovely setting/lighting and a good comprehensive menu at great value prices. Would go back again and recommend to friends. Took my parents who don't get out much and they really loved the bustly environment - felt like a real night out for them

Very attentive and helpful staff. We sat upstairs which was quieter than downstairs. Food excellent and good value. A mistake was made with the order but was satisfactorily resolved.

A lovely meal as usual. Cote never lets me down. The staff and mangement were very patient, attentive but not overly so and checked that everything was ok. A very pleasant experience.

We chose two courses from the Christmas menu and both the main course and the pudding were very delicious. Our table for two was plenty big enough and, though the restaurant became very busy over the time we were there, the service was paced just right for us. This is the fifth time I have dined at Cote Brasserie Brighton, and it's always very pleasant.

The food was lovely we both had steak both were cooked just right and the service was great. Nuno looked after us very well, highly recommended

Lovely restaurant with a good ambiance. Very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent food. The only problem is which items from the menu not to choose!

As ever the welcome and service was great and the food wonderful. Lovely to be back after welcoming Côte Lewes, which is our home base. It would be great if Lewes branch could be as light and lovely to walk in to.

The food was excellent and the service could not have been more friendly. We tell all our friends this it is the best value for money in Brighton.

As usual were delighted with our visit to Cote, our favourite Brighton restaurant! We were celebrating our grandson passing his driving test so it was a very happy occasion.

Great service great food and great atmosphere... can’t wait to return. Party of four and we all had differ mains and puddings... loved it all. Wine was excellent also

Lovely food with great service. Set in the site of the old public music library a truly amazing building with most of the original fittings. There is a good choice of food and a fantastic Christmas menu.

I came here for an early dinner before going to a concert. The service was very friendly and efficient. I opted for the Christmas meal, which was tasty and plentiful.

We enjoyed the elegant surroundings and attentive and rapid service that this Cote provided. The brasserie style cooking is reliably authentic. Do try the wonderful crème caramel!

On this visit three of us ate from the set menu two tried the Mushroom Brioche which although tasted fine had an extremely small portion of mushrooms and sauce. We followed with the Salmon Fish cakes which were good but a little bland. This set menu is still very good value but portions seem to be getting smaller. I think it’s to keep the same cost; personally I would rather pay more and keep the portion size. The service as ever was of a high standard, a new waitress was being training and she was excellent.

Another pleasant time at Cote Brighton although the bar is set high and a few little niggles crept in again, mainly a few (three) 'waiting' errors. Hopefully won't have to make any excuses a third time....

Tonight’s visit was disappointing compared with previous ones. The restaurant was not very busy but service wasn’t up to the usual attentive standards and I had to send my main back as the chicken was over cooked and hard. Apologies and a refund were given but it was still annoying to have to eat the replacement meal after my dining companions had finished theirs.

Great atmosphere. Great food. Central location. Friendly staff. It was Saturday night and very busy but service was good although a bit slow when reordering drinks.

We had a lovely evening...was let down with my husbands food arriving a tad cold but didnt say anything as we were with friends and didnt want to cause any issues, and other disappointment was we had drinks when first sat at table but not asked if we wanted any refills/other drinks throughout the meal.

menu and service were very good with very little waiting. Staff were of the usual high quality and plenty of them. A perfect venue for a pre show dinner.

Gluten free beer would be nice - suggest a Sussex brew from Hepworth Otherwise very exjoyable - excellent service for a Saturday evening Thank you

Microwaved meal and far 2 hot and no bread as it was still cooking. Where was the planning for start of a Saturday night. Hate you put tip on the bill, so rude... we came out thinking we had wasted our money but the wine was nice

Appalling service . Staff were inattentive dixn’t Bring correct order and were at the back of the restaurant constantly chatttingvtogether. Our food arrived separately! They had the audacity to add service on the bill

Yet again, I’ve had a fantastic meal at Cote Brasserie in Brighton. Warmly welcomed, fantastic food and service. Great atmosphere, as always. Hopefully back for New Year

Coming back again and again to Cote for brunch..superb menu as always with hardworking staff to cater to every need. Highly recommended restaurant anytime of the day, everyday of the week :)

It would be good to have some round tables but other wise we had a wonderful meal and evening staff were very helpful and friendly

As always the service was quick and the staff friendly. The food is always very good. It is good for couples, small groups and large groups.

Beautiful breakfast with a Brilliant service - gf & df allergies completely acknowledged which can be very hard to find at times. Thank you for your efforts!

A lively atmosphere with very good food and an excellent standard of service. An interesting menu with plenty of choices. Their chicken Breton is always tasty.

Another excellent meal with superb service would highly recommend to anyone who loves great food in a relaxed atmosphere with very friendly and attentive staff.

Mixed review. Some staff were very capable and friendly, others abrupt verging on rude. Food ok but some ( most ) of it was tepid. Conclusion, will not be going back, shame, this has been good in the past.

Cote Brighton was up to it's usual standard with good service, great food and a lovely atmosphere. The crème caramel is never disappointing and worth another visit to Cote to enjoy the 3 course lunch menu.

We ate from the Christmas menu and enjoyed the food and the service. Good atmosphere and choice of food well up the standard and consistency of this chain of restaurants.

Good service. Food great. Changed certain items with no problems. First breakfast there would certainly go again. Good atmosphere and staff helpful. Had a little one with us again no problem with pushchair.

Early evening menu is tasty and good for quick supper

As always , the food was excellent - my only quibble is that , with the restaurant full to bursting, the service was not as efficient and certainly not as friendly as it has been in the past. It was noticeable that as the restaurant became less busy, the staff had time to smile and interact more with customers.

The food was good as usual and the staff are lovely, helpful and friendly. I like the menu which has plenty of choice. I recommend this place to eat.

Excellent service and good food as always. A great pre theatre dinner. Steak frites is a favourite. We will be back, what more can I say!

Cote is consistently good for food, ambience and service. Just make sure you book in good time, particularly if you want to take advantage of the reasonably priced early evening menu.

We asked for water twice , all the mains were served cold, asked for mustard twice and got it ourselves in the end. Didn’t bother with pud !

A lovely relaxing place to eat,with a bustling and busy atmosphere .The staff are attentive and the food is good. The price is right too.

Good service. Was very busy when we attending. Took a while to get the bill (I think the first time we asked they forgot - but it was very busy). And also when I phoned to delay our arrival they struggled to understand me (may have been interference on the line). But otherwise great good and great attention to detail in their customer service. Very much made it feel like a special occasion and you could see that the staff really work well as a team :-)

The meal and the service were very good, three members of staff stood out and were extremely kind to me, Kat, Helen and Jules made the evening for me.

Staff were couteous, efficient and attentive as I have found on most occassions at Cote. The only negative would be the tip being added to the bill!! I feel this a little presumtious as I like to chose myself whether to add gratuities or not and how much.
