Côte Brighton restaurant

Our second visit to one of your restaurants, again Brighton like London did not disappoint. Good choice of menu and quality, our waitress Egle was excellent. Only criticism was the lack of toilet facilities. One cubicle up stairs for estimated 50/60 heads which when I wanted to use was occupied for 20 minutes. Then the 2 cubicles in the basement were out of order. For me a major problem being diabetic and having to inject my insulin. I would appreciate your response. Rpritchard5050@gmail.com

As always a great experience with superb food and really wonderful staff. It's my restaurant of choice and in particular the Brighton restaurant. Thanks to the whole team and Happy New Year to you all.

Excellent food, excellent friendly service. That says it all really but reviews have to be a minimum of twenty five words, so here's four more.

Amazing service! Excellent wine pairing suggestions, everything was on point except for the food, I ordered a mid rare stake, and it came blue and the chips where cold, the waiter apologize and ask to change it right away I didn't want to cause any trouble so I try to eat it like that, was honestly imposible I flip the stake and wasn't cook at all on the other side, the stake was removed and I receive a new one, but my partner had to wait for me before he could order some pudding.

Our waiter was lovely. The pork belly was very good but the steak didn’t live up to expectations and portion not enough for the cost.

Lovely service from the staff. Fantastic food and lovely warm atmosphere. Wonderful smells greet you as you walk in. Made our Christmas Eve. Can’t beat it.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was well presented and good value for money. We are already booked for lunch in January.

Set lunch pretty much as good as usual although the dark chocolate pot seemed slightly less chocolatey and sweeter than previously. Service excellent as usual. Restaurant was very busy and very noisy.

Excellent as always. Great atmosphere, lovely food, great staff always welcoming. Will always be our favourite restaurant chain. Have been to others in the south.

It's fabulous food and great service. Very central location..best to book if you want pre theatre menu .. it's such good deal that it books up really quickly

Superb atmosphere with well presented food. Although busy the staff were so efficient all were good ambassadors for their restaurant. Well managed indeed. Will book again soon.

Good food but service slowed as the meal progressed, 2 hours for three courses! Not a manger in sight, only a greeter who claimed not to be a waitress.

Food good as usual but my husband had to leave some of his steak which was not edible. However, because of this, he was not charged for the steak which seemed very fair. All of the other meals were very good.

I enjoyed a really lovely birthday brunch on Sunday. Great food and a lovely waitress. I even got a complimentary Mimosa as the birthday girl.

The food can be good but choosing is tricky as not all of them are good. I would say stay away from their special lunch menus and choose a la carte. I liked the pinot noir. And the squash soup was good. And sadly that's all. But I think I chose poorly. Stay away from the chicked brest as that cook seems to cook it too hard. Good Luck and bon appetit. Oh one more thing: The waitress should really realize it's about the diners and not her! !!!

When we arrived we were informed that their gas supple had been cut off and could not cook any food. We had to look for an alternative restaurant on a busy Saturday evening.

We are fairly regular customers at Côtes- and it is our preferred choice for breakfast/brunch which is second to none and very well priced. The evening menu also excellent. We find the staff are excellent, professional, efficient and friendly.

Enjoyed the food in a great building. Will go again when we visit Brighton.

Very noisy - tables too close together to have a conversation with the noise levels. Food good but one of us wanted a dessert you had run out of and we were a 7pm sitting.

I have been eating at Cote since it opened in Brighton and have always enjoyed the food, the ambience and the staff at all tines of day I appreciate the napkins and filtered water.

We were extremely impressed it was our works Xmas dinner and when we got there they had no power some major fault the whole of the north laines were affected they had tried to contact me but was in theatre with phone off the management and staff were amazing they were so upset one of there busiest nights of the year they couldn't do enough we had wine on the house then we had burger and chips brought in have always been pleased with cote in Brighton but they have gone way up the scale for customer service xx

My friend and I enjoyed our lunch we had mussels,chicken and chocolate pot and a bottle of wine , the food was excellent our waitress was efficient and friendly and lovely surroundings

We had a pleasant meal, enjoyed good service but would have scored better had we not been seated next to the Gents toilet. There were other tables available for the duration of our visit so slightly disappointing!

Unfortunately Cote cancelled our table about an hour before we were due there. They had a problem with their gas supply so frustrating for us but I'm sure far more frustrating for them.

Very disappointed, restaurant could not accommodate us due to power failure. Told that we could have a drink on them when we re-booked, not given any tokens to obtain drink.

I chose your 2-course Christmas menu. The starter was duck pate and was excellent. The main was Mushroom risotto and was very salty, quite soggy and, I'm afraid, quite disappointing. Service was attentive but a more solicitous waitress would have questioned why I didn't finish the risotto.

We arrived at 5pm. On time for our table for two. We were informed there was no food as the gas pipe in the kitchen was broken. A call would have been nice to inform us to save us a journey on a Saturday night so we had time to book elsewhere. Ruined our evening.

Great food, great service, no complaints which is a first for me! Staff attentive without being overbearing and felt the price charged was fair enough. A lovely venue as well. Maybe the loos could have been a bit cleaner/tider.

Always tasty, well prepared simple fare served efficiently and with a smile.

Food was good, but service was poor, understaffed at lunchtime. Needs to do better and better management. Normally go to Cote in Sloane Square in London where the service and ambience is first c.ass.

Another great meal at Brighton Cote. Good service, friendly staff. It was Friday night and they were very busy with Christmas firm events but the service was just as good as always.

No gas at restaurant called 10 mins before due to arrive. Struggled to find another restaurant to eat as a very busy Saturday. Told by another restaurant this happens at this Cote often.

Unfortunately for us and the restaurant they were without gas so no kitchen. The front of house staff couldn't have been any more accommodating or professional but still the main reason for our visit was to have dinner and we were left hungry 😖.

The restaurant phoned 30 mins before to say their gas supply had failed. Manager said it had failed 3 hours earlier, but they did not let me know sooner. Arranging an alternative needs more time. Talking to another restaurant nearby, losing the gas supply has happened before. But it beggars belief all the same. The venue is fully booked in run up to Xmas 2017, so there is not much the restaurant can do finale amends. It just tough.

Very busy lunch period & service wasn’t as good as usual. Both of our meals arrived without the extras we had ordered but they did correct the error. Things looked better after a bottle of sparkling wine😊

A very enjoyable lunch and despite the restaurant was packed we received first class treatment, we had the Breton chicken which was as good chicken meal we have had for a long time

We had a great time. The environment is great, the food is superb and the service excellent. It was very busy, but the food came on time. We had a great night out.

The food was variable from very good to ok (there were four of us) , the service was very good in spite of how busy the staff were.

Excellent as always. Whenever I visit any Cote restaurant we always enjoy are meal. The staff are brilliant, so friendly and polite. They go out of their way to please you.

One of my favorite resturants, food service excellent as always.

Had a wonderful evening celebrating a Birthday I highly recommend Cote.
