Côte Brighton restaurant

We always get to Cote in Brighton early to take advantage of the special 3 course menu for £13.50. This menu is excellent value with choices for each course. We can not usually eat 3 courses when we go to a restaurant but these courses are all just the right size so you don't feel uncomfortable afterwards. The food us really tasty too. We definitely recommend this restaurant. .

why do I have to enter a minimum of 25 words? It was good and we enjoyed it, that's all. I don't need to expound on it.

Lovely atmosphere at this restaurant. The food is well presented and tasty. Even though it was very busy we were served very quickly and courteously. Can’t wait to go again !

Long wait to get dessert waited over 30 mins had to ask for the bill whilst getting desserts as had theatre tickets. Then had to go to bar to pay as told waitress was in hurry but did not return to take payment. Food was lovely but long wait to get puddings

My friend and I met for lunch last week and enjoyed a complimentary bottle of wine with our meal. The food was delicious as always, especially the creme brulee with white chocolate and raspberries...scrumptious!! The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. I love Cotes!

Côte brassiere Brighton never disappoints us, not only a beautiful building with stylish deco, you can always expect a great menu, great food and great value for money!

Our main meal was not hot. We were over charged (which when highlighted was corrected) and the service was not of the usual standard, yet not particularly busy.

Friendly staff, good food, good service , good value early evening set menu before theatre. Always enjoy the steak rites and yummy chocolate pot, wish it was bigger!

Lovely atmosphere and the staff were great, as always . Only flaw was the overcooked mussels but everything else great. Creme caramel was especially delicious.

The service was great' the food was as usual superb. Although it was quiet when we arrived the restaurant soon filled up and the atmosphere buzzing! A great visit.

Service was excellent and the early evening menu had a good selection and was very good value for money. We will come back again soon.

Food, as always, good quality, well prepped and good value. Ambiance stimulating and busy. Waitress not very convivial this visit (staff usually are). Great lunch venue.

Pre theatre supper was excellent value and good choice on the menu. Extras were not unreasonable either. Only criticism is that I don't like tip added to bill and an automatic 12.5% is a bit much. Service however was good so I complied - as always!

Always a pleasure to go to Cote even if it is pricy for what you eat (12.5% additional service) shouldn’t have to pay for baguette in à French restaurant!

This restaurant always delivers excellent service. The staff are always polite and helpful and the quality of food served is outstanding. It is always best to book a table in advance.

Very good visit as usual. We visited with my family, to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Everyone had a great time! We were given a lovely table upstairs. The only thing is, it was very noisy so it was difficult to have a conversation with each other. But it was a busy night so ignored the noise and just enjoyed each other’s company! The service was as usual excellent! Food was good too!

Had a great meal, with good service. But I was disappointed that we were seated by the ladies toilet, when I asked to be moved it was not possible yet there were empty tables for four around us. I had booked a month in advance so was looking forwards to a nice table in a good spot.

The table I was given was dirty, there was crumbs all over the bench seat, the waitress was annoyed when I asked for a cloth to clear it up.

Good food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere and good location. We weren't rushed and weren't pushed to leave by a certain time so a very relaxed evening.

Good service, three course meals for 2 at £27 represents great value. Restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and overall provided us with a most enjoyable experience

Couldn't fault the service, food was excellent. My guest's, discerning foodies, were over the moon regarding the food. Said "it was the best they had tasted for ages".

The staff are always so good and friendly. Warm welcome, not kept waiting but also not rushed. Consistently good food, service, wine and good value in elegant surroundings. We are regular customers and will be back soon.

The early evening menu was just perfect for us, I unfortunately booked the table for the wrong time but this was soon rectified very professionally.

Always good value, quality food in a glamorous and lively setting. Was seated upstairs this time at the Brighton restaurant, and the decor is disappointingly rather plain compared to downstairs.

Really love going to Cote, get great service and the food is wonderful. I also treat myself to a kir Royal with my meal just make it extra special when we visit.

Rather too many tables crammed in together, less than half used. We moved half way through our main course as we were a two and put between a six and a nine/eleven! We had been given the option of another table but it was directly in front of the main door, rather too cold. The 'optional service charge' was added to the CC machine without asking us. Food was good, portions not too large, service fine.

Went to celebrate an elderly friend's birthday. Staff gave exceptionally service; they made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Can highly recommend and we will definitely go again.

Staff and service was great, missed out on a 5 when kitchen slowed during early evening rush and we had to cancel coffees and gulp down desserts in order to make theatre on time. Total time in restaurant 1.5 hrs.

We are regular diners and have got to know the managers .We find them really helpful and the service excellent and well oiled.We appreciate this as we attend the Brighton Philharmonic after our lunch.

Lovely food although we have to say the steak was on the fatty side , the manager took off our desserts which we thought was reasonable , great service . Will be returning

I love this place, especially for lunch. The set menu is fantastic value and really delish and the staff are lovely. It was really buzzy yesterday, packed for lunch and a very brasserie experience. Also, love their coffee. The only reason they have a 5 and not a 6 is that some background music came on with a monotonous, annoying drum beat! Yes, I am old, but I also love dance music and drum and bass. Just don't want it on in the background whilst trying to have a chat with a friend I haven't seen for months! Staff were great though and turned it right down for us! One of my favourite restaurants in Brighton.

I didn’t give maximun marks as my husband’s main course was not as good as it could have been. Rabbit Parmentier with not much rabbit. However, the matter was dealt with in a very professional manner - excellent customer service.

Very attentive and the food was great. Also as it was the afternoon it wasn't to hectic. Got a free glass of wine because it was my birthday

One thing you can always be sure of at Cote is lovely food ! We have been many times for different occasions and have always been pleased

As always the food was excellent and receiving a free bottle of wine made the meal even more enjoyable.The sea bream was perfectly cooked - very good.

Met with a friend for our joint same age birthday. Lovely Kir royals on arrival and a candle in my crumble. Food very good, staff helpful and overall ambience excellent as usual.

We had a thoroughly good meal. Service excellent. Food well cooked and tasty. We had a nice table. It appears to be quite a popular restaurant.

Very friendly staff, really good food & service - only let down slightly by the customers smoking in the small courtyard seating area which we had to walk through to get into the restaurant, we were also seated with a view of this area which was a bit off-putting!

The restaurant was fairly quiet this lunchtime but the staff were friendly and attentive. Our choices of starters were prawn gratinee and crab mayonaisse; our mains were risotto verde and fillet steak. All courses were satisfactory and we enjoyed a lovely experience.

Good as always so delicious and good quality..nothing is too much bother. A favourite with us.will be back soon for a dinner in the near future.

A great experience. Very good value menu from the noon to 7pm . Lots of choice, served promptly by attentive staff. Good wine, although a little pricey. Ideal venue before a theatre date.

Fantastic service, delicious food and everyone friendly and helpful. They provided my young son with something not on the menu and billed me accordingly. This is something hard to find.
