Côte Brighton restaurant

The meal was fine, but I found the service was dishonest. My wife’s food was meant to be chicken with fennel and fennel jus but came up on a bed of plain tasting mash potato. Which was fine apart from as no mash potato was mentioned on the ingredients she had ordered a side of mash potato grattan. The waitress then insisted the potato was fennel jus ! It was definitely mash! We eat fennel at home at least twice a month. Secondly the cheese came up with tea saucers to eat it off rather than a proper side plate. When questioned the waitress said that how they did it!?!! I suspect they had run out and didn’t want to wash new ones. It was late in Saturday... The waitress obviously took us or maybe herself for an idiot. This all colored an otherwise nice meal.

Greeted on entering Xbox shown to a lovgly table in the windia. Good choice menu. Good was tasty and piping hot. Service friendly and helpeful

Wonderful food as always, you can't really fault it. Service was rather slow today however, they apologised profusely and did not charge us for dessert when the bill came as a result.

Excellent as ever - Superb food and service at a reasonable price and lovely environment. Only wish that sometimes the salads would appear as a main on the set menu.

The restaurant was full, yet service friendly and efficient and the food very delicious as always. Can highly recommend Cote ! We found same standard in Lewes and ST Martin's Lane London we are happy to say.

Excellent food good service although a mistake on bill stopped me from giving a 6 marking. The bill issue was resolved once I highlighted it.

Brighton Cote is aways friendly and welcoming from the moment you enter with good food. Cote offers a lunch time great value menu which has enough options.

Great location near theatres, lovely staff, amazing value for money. Always enjoy going to Cote. The atmosphere is wonderful, during the day and in the evening. Good choices for food, the lunch and early evening menus are marvellous.

First class food and service.Bouef Bourguinnon excellent again and the menu is tempting and includes such a wide choice.Daily specials are always interesting and hard to make a decision.

A very nice atmosphere in the restaurant, buzzy and busy with a continental feel. An eclectic clientele old, young and everything in between, a place to eat and to meet it seems. A good menu selection, and a good wine selection also but I think that the wines in general may be a couple of £s too expensive for the type of restaurant. Brighton has a good selection of independent and "chain" restaurants which I go to in other towns but in Brighton its Cote for me

Lovely place with Great atmosphere. Steak was perfect would definitely recommend. Chocolate mousse was a dream. Disappointed with size of dark chocolate pot, extremely small.

Thanks to your staff enabled us to enjoy and complete our meal in time to be else where in the 50 minutes available to us.

Great food and fantastic service. We visited on Valentines night and although it was busy the meal was brilliant. Not visited for a while and will be back again soon!

Fantastic relaxed service and food. The Valentine special with selected wines were a perfect combination. The staff were attentive but made us feel relaxed without any rush to finish. Recommended.

My friends and I had a very nice evening meal at Cote Brighton. We even went back for breakfast the following morning. Excellent service and food on both occasions.

Me and my partner had a lovely time at Cote last weekend. The waitress was attentive without being too 'in your face' and the dishes were all fantastically cooked. The wine we had (a Chenin Blanc) was also very good value for money. All in all an excellent experience!

I ordered the lamb shank on the specials menu & it was fine. Although we are very fond of this restaurant the main course of my husbands meal was disappointing. He ordered the set menu with the pork loin for a starter which was good & the mussels for the main course. A lot of the mussels had broken shells which is not good as you cannot tell whether they were alive before cooking. As he was concerned that they might make him ill he spoke to the person in charge who took them back & got him another plate of them. She said they probably broke when being dished up. We have cooked them ourselves & eaten them in various countries & never had broken mussels served up to us.The next plate arrived with 4 broken ones so he just put them aside. This is the second time we have had this problem with the mussels there & will not be ordering them again.

Went to Cote at Brighton for lunch on Saturday. I had never been but had heard great things about it. It was bustling, great atmosphere. Great food and service and a very good experience all round. Will definitely be going back soon.

One of the best Cote restaurants we have been too. Extremely friendly good efficient service, the food was fresh and main course was served hot as it should be. The Restaurant had a very nice ambience.

Very relaxed Sunday vibe. Great service, excellent food - what more could you ask for. The formule deal is recommended as vale for money. Booking not always necessary

We had a very enjoyable evening. We had the “Valentines menu and had wines to match our food. The service was excellent, very attentive and everything served promptly. One small gripe, yet again we were unable to secure the specific table (of 2) requested, does the restaurant take any notice of requests ahead of time or is it just pot luck when you arrive?

We had my birthday celebration at Cote and the food, service and atmosphere were marvellous. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. We have been several times and it is always great.

Cote Brighton is a very friendly and enjoyable place to wine and dine. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the whole package of visiting Cote gives a complete and rewarding experience.

Really nice, friendly staff; still cheery and attentive even though the restaurant was packed and it was quite stressful for them. Food delicious as always.

Service was slow although the restaurant wasn't full. There were crumbs on the table. Food was of a good. Shared a banana crepe, which was delicious.

It was cold and draughty by the window. So don’t pick those seats. The food took a while to arrive and was just luke warm when it arrived - the plate was warmer than the food....... Service was average

Fabulous food and service enjoyed every part of the meal. My starter of salmon was delicious and my fillet steak was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. Topped off with a lovely baileys coffee.

I have always had good food in the Cote restaurants. The staff at the Brighton one were very good, polite and attentive. Will definitely go back without a doubt.

This has always been an excellent venue since it opened. The staff are always friendly, helpful and attentive. The good is good and there's always a great atmosphere. I always get positive feedback every time I recommend the Brighton Cote to my friends.

Always happy to go to Cote in a group or intimate meal as it's got great atmosphere with friendly attentive service. Delicious food especially the Fillet Steak with Peppercorn Sauce.

Fantastic restaurant, great atmosphere, delicious menu and first class service. Prices good with daily specials and pre theatre deals. Always my first choice when in Brighton.

Great as always. Got there at 6.30 for the early dinner special, excellent. Andrew is a great friendly greeter and spoke to Julie who is a delight. Never any pressure to leave.

All three of my party had a delicious meal in this rather large and buzzing restaurant. The service was very good despite the restaurant being very busy.

We had a wonderful lunch at Cote Brighton. Delicious food, attentive but discreet, friendly staff and a beautiful location. Parking close by too. So good we went back for breakfast next day, which was equally great. We always seek out a Cote on our travels and have yet to experience any but excellence. Can't wait for the MK branch to open!

Another visit to this restaurant and was not disappointed. The set menu offers variety and good value . Tried the House white and was not disappointed.

This is the best Côte and this visit was as good as usual. Very good service and food reasonably priced. Will be back soon the end

Good food, and quick service, waiter very polite and helpful, however, was put upstairs in Brighton, not so good as I'm disabled, we was offered a table downstairs but it had a sofa not chairs so that was difficult and by the toilet. We enjoyed the meal, good value from set special menu.

Great food . Wonderful service. Lovely surroundings. We go there often for lunch or an Early dinner. Fixed price menu changes monthly and is great value.
