Côte Brighton restaurant

Not quite as good as usual. Waitress perhaps new - needs some polish and further instruction. Food good. Kir Royale very pale ..clearly more sparkling wine than Kir. Bit nondescript

Great food. Amazing people and service second to none. We are regular customers but always made to feel special. Jules is a fantastic general manager who leads a great team. Thank you today in particular to Nathan and Liam for looking after us. 😆

My wife and I spent a pleasant stay in Brighton . We chose to eat at Cote because of previous visits to the chain in Cheltenham and Windsor. Excellent choice of menu and prompt and friendly staff. We will certainly go back when next in Brighton.

Had the most delicious whitebait starter. Our food and the ambience was excellent. Our waiter was wonderful, helpful, informative and patient. Have already recommended the restaurant to our friends.

Friendly and well timed service - not too fast, or slow. Excellent quality food, and generous portions. Have been a regular visitor to this restaurant since it opened in Brighton and the ladies loos now looking a bit tired!

Been here many times over the last few years with family and friends, it's a lovely venue. Service was excellent and food was very good.

Second time we’ve been to Cote in Brighton. Great atmosphere, great customer service. We will defiantly be returning. Although I had fillet streak and it was a little fatty.

A very warm welcome on arrival, Fantastic service, great value food, great atmosphere. The steak we ordered was cooked to perfection. The creme brulee was to die for. Thank you for a lovely evening and we look forward to coming back soon.

Amazing. Good food. Great service. A must for going or coming from the theatre or the dome theatre. Nice variety of food for what ever your taste.

We ate off the early dining menu which was fine and tasty, with a French flair. The pinot noir wine was excellent if a bit pricey. The restaurant was busy and noisy but that added to the atmosphere.

Fabulous food and service, as ever, our table wasn’t the best but we were still looked after very well and everything we asked for was really good. Great place to take a colleague for dinner .

Good food, great atmosphere and reasonably priced fixed menu. My only bugbear is the twelve and a half percent that is automatically added to the bill for service.

FOOD AND SERVICE VERY GOOD, BUT EXCEPTIONALY EXPENSIVE, ALL MY PARTY WERE SURPRISED THAT LISTED DISHES WERE NOT COMPLETE, BUT WERE SUBJECT TO CHARGES FOR SIDE DISHES!!!!. I ALSO OBJECT TO A GRATUITY ,EVEN OPTIONAL, BEING ADDED TO THE BILL, AS THIS IMPLIES THAT IF THE SERVICE WARRANTED ONE, THAT I WOULD NOT GIVE ONE TO THE SERVER WHO EARNED IT!!!! ON THIS SUBJECT , THE ADDED GRATUITY ON MY BILL, WHICH I DID PAY, WAS EXORBITANT, BEING IN EXCESS OF 10%, ON TOP OF AN ALREADY EXCESSIVE FOOD CHARGE !!!! TED H.

Had a lovely family lunch, as a pre birthday treat. My very fussy Mother said it was the best chicken she had ever had. Praise indeed! Great value for money and excellent service as usual.

I go to the restaurant quite often. Always enjoy the experience...good food ..good service. Sometimes quite noisy but no fault of the restaurant.. It's because it's popular. Perhaps they shouldn't automatically include the tip in the bill.!!.

The food is good as usual. The service is friendly and promptly. We always have a very good experience of dinning at Cote. Three quality dishes for lunch under £14 is a steal.

A warm welcome, with excellent service. They were attentive without rushing us. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The steak frites was amazing and the salad was incredibly fresh!

Whichever branch of Cote you eat at they are always consistent in terms of giving great service and good quality delicious food. Portion sizes are good too.

Table was lovely right by the window. Whilst food was hot and tasty and service polite a lack of personality prevented ambiance to match the lovely interior. There was a delay in drink order at the start.

Had the set menu as usual, seemed a little more choice and tried something apart from the steak frite, which I usually have. Very pleased as the chorizo sausage with lentils was excellent. All good, although one of the waiters seemed a little bit 'absent'...maybe she was new.

First time here and will definitely be going again. A table by the window became available as we entered and was swiftly cleared and reset for us. Food was lovely. The only downside, a only a small one, was whilst the waitress was extremely efficient she struggled to crack a smile which was a shame. All in all though, a very pleasant experience.

the meal was good , service was good , a little over priced but really enjoyed sitting outside in the sun sipping Kir royals .

Côte has consistently good bistro food and offers it at a very attractive price point. It's not Brasserie Flo, but neither are the prices. I've always been impressed and visit Côte in Brighton whenever it makes sense. (I've never been to any other branch - and feel that one of its qualities is that there is no sense of eating in a chain restaurant.) The first time I came was 2-3 dats after the branch opened, together with several colleagues - one of whom is a former district manager for Café Rouge. We were knocked out by the interior, the food and the attentive service from staff who were clearly well trained. And that's a positive review not just from my but also from a professional in the field who has run one of Côte's competitors. But this time, while the food and atmosphere was unchanged, the service was inattentive and the bar staff seemed to prioritise chatting over serving beverages- I had to work quite hard to get attention; my Ricard took almost a quarter of an hour to arrive. I'll leave it to the management to figure out whether they have demotivated the staff or whether the training needs a tweak - but in the context of what Côte CAN do, this was disappointing.

Negatives - food was lukewarm. Appalling rude and arrogant service from a member of kitchen staff resulting in us complaining. Positives- after the complaint we received new, piping hot, tasty food, excellent service from waiters and the supervisor and all at no charge.

Good food good service delivered quickly and hot good menu and choice would return again friendly staff price well not expensive good choice of drinks.

Main course salad portions were too small. Felt a bit mean for a main. Otherwise ok. But reluctant to visit again, especially with growing local competition.

Excellent evening out - party of 4 on a busy Friday. Food was superb and the service and ambience could not be faulted. We will all be returning again.

What a wonderful restaurant, the food was excellent and the service brilliant. Although it was a Friday night and the restaurant was very busy we were shown to our seats and chatted to as if we were regulars. The staff are very attentive but not overbearing. What can I say about the food, so much choice, and beautifully presented. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

As usual a really good experience. The tuna starter from the set menus is one of my favourites & the Breton salad as a main course was delicious. I always always have the creme caramel which is to die for!

As always, Cote did not disappoint. Our friends really enjoyed this, their first visit to Cote. We especially like the quality of the sauces and seafood.

The service and the food at the Brighton Côte Brasserie was the usual excellent quality. We had the Formule breakfast, choosing the eggs Benedict and eggs royals, delicious!

Fantastic as always. Staff were all great and the food we ordered came promptly, was piping hot and very very tasty. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. We look forward to going again soon.

Everything was just OK. The portions are small and I think the 12.5% service charge is over the top as our group had 4 bottles of wine and this is also charged at 12.5%.

Great food and fantastic service. A real favorite of ours and tonight was particularly good my steak was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is spot on.

Excellent service, & very good choice of exciting monthly specials on the menu. Always made to feel welcome & valued. Atmosphere is always delightful. Shame the outside terrace was not in use today, but otherwise a great experience.

Friendly and efficient service, great food. Good choice for veggies, but you have to ask for the separate vegetarian menu. Good position right opposite Brighton Dome, and near Theatre Royal.

Good food friendly staff bustling atmosphere reasonable value. Acoustics of old bank building not ideal. Just across road from Dome. Suggest book early. Overall recommended

No delay, offered choice of table, which was well laid out and you were not squashed in. The menu suited all requirements, with as ever good quality food. The service was excellent, staff attentive without hovering. Very pleasant lunch.
