Lovely restaurant, excellent food and really attentive staff. I meet with a friend in Brighton for lunch every few weeks and we always go to Côte. It’s an interesting building with really high ceilings and somehow seems reminiscent of the old days. Last went yesterday 29 June and we were served by a lovely young man who was interesting to talk to but not intrusive.
Great venue especially with the garden terrace to eat in on a hot day! Our waitress was very good all the time smiling & attentive.
The service was great, but food not as good as it usually is this time- it felt a little like it had all been reheated. The staff were very accommodating however so we’d definitely go back.
WE had a delightful visit on a very hot day. The restaurant was cool and airy, the service prompt and polite and the food excellent.
Went for a quick bite to eat before going to the theatre. We had something off the early evening menu and it was excellent. Great location too.
Both food and service were excellent! An attractive restaurant which has a great atmosphere. The staff were courteous, professional and welcoming. We would definitely book again!
As always, our experience at Cote Brighton was first rate. We were very happy with the June menu and the food was delicious though the service could have been a little quicker.
This was an excellent lunchtime experience. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and efficient. Our food was served promptly and was delicious. Will definitely revisit.
As regular patrons of Cote yesterday's visit was not up to the standard we had come to expect. My wife's starter of Prawn Gratine had too much chilli, far hotter than previous occasions. For our mains we ordered a side dish of French Beans which were clearly undercooked and returned to the kitchen and did not re-appear before we had finished our meal. Also the Jersey Royal potatoes served with my hake were almost cold, not even warm. However having complained about the beans we didn't want to cause further fuss. Despite the restaurant being fairly quite they seemed to have forgotten our dessert order which arrived about twenty five minutes later. The manageress clearly noticed this and gave us a card for two free glasses of wine on our next visit. I hope this experience was a one off, only time will tell if Cote is to remain our first choice of eatery.
We were welcomed very nicely and given a table of our choice. The waiter was very courteous and efficient, service good and food delicious. Look forward to return in future.
A lovely sunny day so we sat in the garden behind the restaurant under one of the large umbrellas. Every member of staff from the moment we arrived was friendly, polite and ready to advise on food and wines. The food was delicious and the suggested wines matched beautifully. A thoroughly enjoyable long lunch.
Excellent as always. You know exactly what you will receive at Brighton Cote and it never disappoints. One of our favourite restaurants for lunch or pre theatre dining.
Food lovely, poor service. I had also had breakfast on Father's Day with my family when food and service were excellent. It wasn't even that busy!
Cote is still one of our favourite restaurants, always reliable & the Service is great & friendly. Jules the manager is just the best. & always makes you feel so welcome. We love it. Geoffrey Pope
Another visit to one of our favourite restaurants in Brighton, had the special fixed price menu, very good value, service was prompt and friendly as always
Food excellent as usual. We were greeted in a very friendly manner and hurrah we managed to get the table we had requested. Had excellent fillet steaks and then the delicious cream caramel
As always we thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Cote in Brighton. The staff were most welcoming and helpful. The French onion soup was very tasty and the fresh salmon beautifully cooked.
Another great meal at Cote. The sun was shining and we dined in the garden. Lovely. The chocolate mouse is to fantastic. The service was great.
We had lunch after our daughter's speech day just opposite at The Dome yesterday a Saturday. Food was great. Food serving could have been sooner. We had dinner there before and we love it, so returned yesterday.
Fabulous as ever. Food was superb and the staff were very professional. yet warm and friendly. My favourite restaurant in Brighton. Great offers too which we really appreciate. Thank you Cote team.
Such good food and the patio out the back is lovely!!! The fish stew is a winner and friendly staff too. Cotè never lets you down.
Very nice evening - meal for an 80th pre-birthday - good service and complimentary drinks for celebration...and very nice food - were all very satisfied.
Another great meal at Cote on Friday evening. The reasonably priced All Day Prestige Set Menu is a welcome addition to the Weekday Lunch and Early Evening Set Menu. The chargrilled salmon with ratatouille was excellent!
Combination of great service and good food is a winning formula, buzzy atmosphere and probably a place to eat with friends as opposed to one for couples as can be noisey due to nature of the high ceilinged property
The lunch/early evening menu deals are very good value and we have always experienced good service and a very pleasant atmosphere at the Cote Brasserie, Brighton.
Excellent service went with some neighbours and it was a real treat. A little pricey on some the dishes and not much for vegans sadly but I hope that will change as most other restaurants are.
Terrible experience. Arrived at 5.40 as per our reservation. Starters delivered just after 6 then no mains at 7.45! We had to leave because we were due at the theatre at 7. The staff were apologetic and we didn't have to pay for our drinks but it was extremely disappointing and we were starving all evening!
Good food as usual but very slow service, waiting 35 minutes between starter and main course and very rushed at the end of the meal.
Lovely food as always. The lunch set menu has a good variety of dishes and is such good value. My sea bream dish was delicious.
The Cote in Brighton is one of my favourites - great location right opposite the Dome and Pavilion Gardens. Food and service just the ticket!
Really attentive and relaxed staff. Food is always exceptional!! Never been disappointed in the years I've been going Also really nice when i go with my daughter. Steak frites every time
Had a lovely evening, as always. The service and standard of food was good and great value. We will certainly be back for another visit very soon.
I go quite regularly to Cote. The food and service is always excellent. I have not yet been disappointed. Couldn't fault anything. The creme caramel is my absolute favourite!
Great food and great service, we have been to cote several times and have never had a bad meal. It has a lovely almosphere and everyone is always friendly, we will definitely be returning.
Food was great, and very friendly service. We were taking elderly parents out for Gathers Day and the staff were briiliant and patient, and made it a very enjoyable lunch.
Breakfast was disappointing - very ordinary without any flare. Even a fresh herb garnish would have helped. Good coffee though and efficient service but won’t go again
The Cote in Brighton is always such a great dining experience. The staff are always friendly, knowledgable and competent. Reliable, great service and great food.
Always good food at any Cote restaurant, a little slow serving sometimes maybe when busy. Always worth the wait. Staff always polite and restaurant is always clean.
Friendly and attentive staff in a warm and welcoming environment. Food was reasonably priced and presented well. Overall the ambiance of this lunch was enhanced by the professionalism of those working that shift. One small gripe was the water glass was dirty so it’s something I would check next time I return.
I always love cote. Fab food and dining, excellent customer service, plus great value for money. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting brighton a must.
We are frequent visitors but sadly today the experience was not up to the usual standard, however the staff accepted this and dealt with our issues very well, we will definitely return. Normally our review would be 6 as this is one of our favourite restaurants.,
The manageress is always so friendly and helpful, as are her team. The food and wine were excellent. We also like the range offered on all the menus, especially the new 'prestige' menu.
Friendly, professional and efficient service. Superb food (very GF friendly - thank you), lots of variety. Great atmosphere and a lovely setting. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely celebratory meal for my 60 th birthday party. The food was very good, and service was excellent. We shall definitely come back to Cote.
Food was great as usual, but service was a little slow as they were short staffed. Overall a very pleasant visit. I would recommend the charcuterie board!
Really friendly, great food and lovely relaxed atmosphere. They were great with children too, but was really special to go without them! The mussels were delicious and so was the fish stew
As always the food and service was excellent. Our free bottle of wine was very welcome and our waiter was friendly without being intrusive x
Lovely restaurant, great food, great service. Our waiter, a young man from Portugal, was extremely helpful without being intrusive. Would highly recommend and will certainly be back!
As always, Cote staff and friendly and polite and the food is very good. One of our favourite restaurants. We frequent Brighton and Haywards Heath branches and will continue to do so.
