Côte Brighton restaurant

The experience wasn't as good as usual. I had to get the attention of the waitress to say that we were ready to order. My table on the terrace was very wobbly and the waiter said he would sort it but never did. The food was as good as ever, just the service was lacking.

Very attentive service from the waiting staff and excellanet food. The staff kindly put candles on my desert as it was my Birthday and a complimentary glass of champagne. I would definitely come back again!

Went to Cote in Brighton for a post graduation lunch with family. The food was great, the service was friendly, lovely relaxed atmosphere. Best of all was the range and quality of the Gluten free menu. My daughter is coeliac and we often have problems finding somewhere to eat that has food good enough for a celebration. She was well pleased!!

As always Cote delivers. The standard of food and service at the Brighton brasserie is second to none. Beautifully cooked food from seasonal menus available and great selection of beverages.

The normal lunch menu was ok but not quite as good as it had always been.. and I am a regular customer. It was the end of a v busy lunch ... the food reflected this. The service as always was super.

A wonderful celebratory lunch (daughter's graduation): food, wine and service could not be faulted. Plenty to choose from on the set menu. Will definitely return!

The chicken dish was dry and over cooked. We were offered a dessert - gratis - and were then charged for it. Luckily we noticed and asked for the items to be removed from the bill. 😩

Cote Brighton is invariably an upbeat venue with consistently attentive staff and always great value for money. The menu has something for everybody. The monthly changes to the set menus are seasonal and provide good alternatives. The enjoyment never fails.

We are regular visitors to Cote as we like the menu and the ambiance. The only thing that spoiled our experience was the fact that the doors were open and all of the smoke from smokers on the road blew over us and our meals. Disgusting. JD'& J

We love coming to Cote for lunch. food always excellent and friendly service. The location in central Brighton is very convenient, and it wins compared to so many other restaurants with the quality of food and extremely competitive prices.

As always excellent in every way. That's why we come back often. Staff polite and very obliging. we had Ribeye steaks-----cooked to perfection. well done

We had a lovely meal, cooked to perfection, great service from the waiter, very attentive, also because it was our anniversary we were given a free glass of bubbly, made our day complete.

Although busy, staff polite and attentive from arrival to departure. Unfortunately one of our meals was not to normal high standards, and we advised the waiter. This was reflected in the bill with a discount which was much appreciated

They need more care to ensure that a waiter promptly attends to bring the food to table when it comes from the kitchen. On so many occasions this does mot happen and the result is a cold meal.

Our booking was 5pm. We were told we couldn't have the table we wanted as it was booked out at 6pm and we would have to vacate by then. However, ten minutes later another couple sat at this table and were still there when we left at 6.30. Highly irritating. Service was slow. It took ten minutes to get our first drink and there were at least three barmen behind the bar who were not serving drinks all the time. Disappointing as not the usual high standard of service that we are used to at Cote. Food at good as ever.

Excellent service as always, the food is top quality and the venue superb, we sit outside in the summer and it is wonderful out there.

As always, friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere with the right amount of buzz. The menu is interesting with some good seasonal variations as well as the regular items - steak frites is a great choice - and the puddings never disappoint!

Unfortunately this was an extremely poor visit to cote! I am a regular visitor but the service was well below standard! Nearly an hour to get a drink which has been forgotten! Missed items from the order and genuinely lack of care! The manager was really apologetic and will not put me off returning as the food is always excellent!

Excellent food and very good service. We had the sea bass with fennel and it was cooked to perfection. Sweets are very nice too, make sure you try the Creme Caramel the signature sweet of Cote.

Delicious food, very good service. I like the ambience of the restaurant, which is always lively and cosmopolitan. The table d’hôtes menu is very good.

We had a lovely lunch at Cote with delicious food from the summer set menu, delicious wine and great service from all the pleasant staff.

A fabulous restaurant with great food and really good service. We would definitely recommend it and go again. The menu is lovely and not pretentious, like a lot of places! We had a window seat which was great as it was really warm, only spoilt by occasional smokers outside. Not much we can do about that.

My partner and I took both our mothers. It was a blisteringly hit evening but the staff were all very cool and calm. We enjoyed kit royals and a delightful meal. I vivsit Cote quite frequently so the changing theatre and prestige menus suit me very well. Have recommended to so many friends and colleagues.

Amazing food and service, the only reason for not getting the full 6 is that it was so hot in the restaurant, it needs air conditioning.

A lovely meal on a sunny evening on the beautiful terrace with a delicious spritz. The perfect setting to celebrate my parents wedding anniversary. Thank you cote.

Cote as always was excellent, service is fabulous it has never been inferior, food also excellent and again has never disappointed, I always take friends and visitors here as the standard has never dropped unlike a lot of places, it is also good value. I will continue to be a fan. Thank you Cote, long may it continue.

Birthday celebration early dinner on Saturday 21/7/18, nothing was too much trouble including getting us a table outside at my request when we arrived, great food served with correct amount of time in between courses, staff were attentive but not intrusive and happy to engage with good humour and banter, looking forward to going back there again

As always the staff were charming, the food was delicious and full attention was paid to the needs of the young coeliac in our party of 7

As usual good food great service and a jolly atmosphere. Always manages to give us just what we fancy whether a long lunch or a quick brunch.

Côte was as lovely as usual. Our waiter and management were attentive and pleasant. Service was quick, food lovely with nice specials for the summer, only negative, portions were a little small compared to the norm. I miss their French baguettes, majority of dishes relevant are with sourdough, which isn’t for everyone.

Always great food, swift service in a lovely building. Excellent on line booking service. The restaurant is always well maintained and clean . The tableware and napkins are of the highest quality

Very efficient service and lovely food. We were off to the theatre so had a bit of a deadline which we explained to the waiting staff and our drinks and food were quickly delivered.

We had the set lunch which was very good as usual and good value. The house wine is also good value. We always find the staff very polite.

Wonderful restaurant in the heart of the Brighton Laines. Staff were wonderful, menu varied and food excellent. Would thoroughly recommend for couples or family groups.

Cote has a wide choice of food and drinks at good prices and is a Brighton favourite. It has a great atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Recommended.

Fantastic value for money. Clean modern environment and the friendly staff made our visit comfortable and enjoyable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good reliable cooking with courteous service.

Staff were extremely efficient and food and atmosphere was great. Accommodating a Vegan diet for one of our party was no problem, would definitely go there again.

The table was reserved for 1745hrs for three. We arrived 5 minutes early and shown to our table, within 10 minutes we had our pre dinner drinks. at 1805 we had our starters and then we waited and waited and at 1900hrs our main course arrived we immediately ordered our pudding and bill.........we had tickets for the theatre the show started at 1930hrs. You can imagine the rush to eat our dinner and pudding all within 15mins.........our pre theatre dinner was ruined.

Very good food, service and atmosphere. Excellent choice of menus, ideal for a pre theatre meal. A pleasant garden area is available for a warm evening

Cote always has something good to offer! I can recommend melon with ham which was a most refreshing starter on a hot day. The baked cod wrapped in bacon was very tasty and I shall certainly have that again.

Really friendly, attentive service. We were offered either a table in the restaurant or in the garden as it was such a beautiful sunny day. We chose to go in the restaurant and were offered a table in the shade next to an open window - just perfect. And our meal was really lovely (as always at this restaurant!)

Lovely food well priced and friendly staff. Sit outside if you can as great setting and surprising in the centre of Brighton a little gem

Had slightly unfortunate issue with some of the steak frites that were very chewy but they replaced them and were very friendly about it. Allways enjoy a meal at the Brighton cote

Food was wonderful as usual as was the service. Often go back there for a great experience and a terrific meal. Would recommend to everyone to go there.

Excellent as always. Great seasonal menus with good choice of starters, mains and desserts. Vegetarian menu and new Prestige set price menu are a welcome addition.
