Côte Brighton restaurant

Food was good as usual however service was very slow. The manageress said that they had 40 people booked in & ended up catering for 120. She apologised profusely for delay and offered the party a complementary drink. Cote are very good at resolving such issues and I would not hesitate to go back. One of my favourite restaurants.

Always amazing food and impeccable service at Cote Brighton. It’s always been a truly fabulous dining experience every time. Every detail is thought of and the staff always exceed expectations and are so welcoming.

excellent atmosphere, good service, good food. this restaurant doesn't disappoint and is really worth a visit. it is advisable to make a reservation every time.

The food and service was excellent as usual. We chose to sit outside, where we found pigeons wandering around. Not very hygienic but I suppose the only way to keep them out is to put a roof on that area

The restaurant is a lovely old building, the choice and quality of food and very good, and excellent value, the service is very good, and the atmosphere relaxed. A winner!

Very good service and tasty food - some portions on the fixed price early evening menu are rather small. Still a regular customer at two locations!

Nice evening out but not ken on the 12.5% service charge! I think service should be entirely optional. Service was OK but not at the level that demands a 12.5% contribution to staff costs!

Very helpful staff especially Deedee (sorry, not sure on spelling of name). Very quick service but we weren't rushed to finish our meal. Good selection on the menu. Helpful staff and very pleasant environment.

The food was beautiful the steak was cooked just right. The service was a bit rushed but very pleasant. The coffee was amazing. The price was very pleasing as well

Four of us had set lunch menu. The food when arrived were Luke warm and not really tasty. We all agreed that we didnot enjoy much. 😫

Welcoming staff, good food, no hassle, attention when needed. Wine overpriced. Noisy downstairs but more relaxed atmosphere upstairs. Overall a pleasant way to spend an evening.

Excellent staff and lovely ambiance Good choice on the menu and good range of reasonably priced wines. Visited early evening before the theatre and started the night out great

Excellent food and service.I was treating my friend to lunch for her birthday .I didnt mention this to the staff but we were amazed and delighted when she was wished Happy Birthday and given a complmentary pudding. We asked the waitress how she knew! Apparently she had overheard me when I raised a glass and wished myfriend Happy Birthday.We were most impressed.Thankyou! Sally.

Great service and food. Very friendly staff. We were there for a birthday meal and they made it extra special with a complimentary glass of Kir Royal for the person who’s birthday it was.

Unfortunately this was not as good as our two previous visits maybe because it was staff changeover time table dirty service not as good as priority was to set tables nonetheless would revisit

Usual high standard and lovely staff , ate upstairs and would have liked a slightly larger table , but overall happy . Will be back soon

My favourite restaurant, the staff are always very kind and attentive and the food is always good, I’ve been using this restaurant for years and highly recommend it.

Very good customer service - we were unhappy with a dish which was replaced without any questions. Accommodated dessert request which was not exactly on the menu. Excellent and much appreciated.

This is a favourite haunt with a very dear friend whom I travel to see several times a year. The staff are always courteous and helpful, always happy to seat us in our preferred location and go the extra mile to ensure we have a wonderful time.

Cote Brighton provided wonderful food, as always and good wine. We had a cheerful, attentive waitress. Excellent all round and really good location. We'll be back!

The portion size of the full English was modest. Would have liked bigger cups for the coffee. But otherwise fab and the service was great!

Great food at realistic price . Service and ambiance first class. The whole experience was of being in a corner of Montmartre with the atmospherecthrown in ..

The food was delicious as usual and well presented. Waiters were just attentive enough not to be intrusive . Lovely to sit by the open window .

We all had a fantastic time at Cote in Brighton, brilliant service, lovely staff, great atmosphere and the food was delicious, all eleven of us left very happy and my mother had a great birthday - thank you very much!

Generally good but slightly spoiled by the fact that my cod was over cooked. To be fair I was offered a replacement but I was with a friend and the wait would have disrupted the whole meal. If I’d been on my own I would have accepted. A shame that the normally high standards weren’t achieved on this occasion.

Excellent service as usual. Even when it’s quite there still a nice atmosphere. The food was tasty and is good value. Plus the new summer gin menus is great

As always at Cote Brassiere in Brighton,great service and delicious food.Three of my party had one of the specials,rump of lamb,asked how we'd like it cooked,all chose a different degree of "doneness" all delicious.

I thought the service was poor, waited a long time for main course. Food quality: starter good, main was seafood linguine, lacked fish. Côte is usually better than this?

We eat at Cote several times a year and yesterday's visit was up to the usual standard we have come to expect. Good food, excellent service and a livlely Bank Holiday atmosphere.

Typically relaxed atmosphere, great service and food from the Cote Brighton team. Our full breakfasts (Formule) were enjoyed by all. The only mild quibble of one in our party was that the eggs were under-cooked. Nevertheless we're all looking forward to our next visit!

Lovely food. Service was excellent. Place was buzzing and had a great atmosphere. Menu has a decent selection to choose from. They certainly know how to look after you. Will definitely return.

Always have a great meal at Brighton Cote 😊 Excellent service, great atmosphere (weather was horrible outside ⛈ ) and food superb. Enjoy work meals here too regularly. Took my mum to Hayward’s Heath Cote wrk before and that was lovely. Brighton Cote better though 😉

The food as always with Cote was dependably well-cooked and flavoursome. However, the service, while friendly, was amateurish (no comparison to the Ivy) and hindered by the staff's limited English.

The ambiance and service was as good as ever, but the food was disappointing. Perhaps the change of chef had much to do with it.

we had 2, 3 course meals and chose from the a la Carte, delicious, although the minute steak was tough. The service was good, and the cost reasonable, although the price of wine by the glass a bit toppy The building and dining room is fantastic in a great location

Lovely food and great service - but long wait between starter and main! Also seated at noisy end of restaurant although had requested quieter side away from bar/till area beforehand. Great night though.

Lovely restaurant, excellent food and great service. I recommend eating here as it is exceptional. Prawns for starter and duck breast for main which is lovely.

Very tasty. Good quality. Shame no complimentary French bread with starters. Saussison wonderfull, all meat. Calamari cooked to perfection.Fish parmentier was loaded with so much salmon,cod and prawns. Very good service.

Lovely meal to celebrate my son's GCSE results. Great service, lovely food and in a relaxing environment. My wife's first experience of Cote, sure we will be ba k again soon

Lovely staff, and a lively ambience. The maître de greeted us with real friendliness, and ensured we had the right table for our needs. Very good wine, and the desert was sublime. Our entrée was delicious, but could have been sliced a little more finely. Our main dishes had petit pois as a major component instead of the broad beans and artichokes as defined in the menu, but very tasty for all that.

Excellent lunch very good service with minimum fuss . special order was presented as requested. Quality of the food was to Cote's usual high standards. A pleasant and relaxing meal was had by all the party. Will use again in the near future.

The food and service are usually excellent. However today the service was extremely poor-very slow and staff chatting and had to be called for attention gat every stage of our meal except when bill requested. Not up to usual standard so disappointing.

Ideally located near to theatres. Friendly staff, great venue, delicious food at a competitive price. Will recommend Cote, Brighton to others and will definitely dine here again soon.

Excellent service as always, confusion over free bottle of wine from Cote Rewards at first, which though clarified, then was added to the bill and had to be taken off! Calamari and crème caramel superb! Goat cheese salad was very salty and message was sent to the chef. This was taken off the bill at the end as I couldn't eat it.

Very slow service. Also I have made a note on the reservation our meal reservation was to commemorate my parents 50 wedding anniversary and there was nit even a mention of it

We had a very pleasant evening even though the restaurant was very busy. Food was delightful and the service was a good as ever. It's one of our favourite places to eat.

Love Cote in Brighton , beautiful building . Staff are all professional and friendly . Food is good . Two of us had the chicken in a fabulous sage gravy , with dauphinois potatoes , followed by apple tart and ice cream . My niece had the pork which she said was really good . Never disappointed
