Côte Brighton restaurant

Enjoyed our call. The waitress was very attentive and met the timing for our stay pre theatre. I just wished that suggestions were added by her for our meals...I had hot footed it in and chose my meal quickly. On it's arrival I had no veg. It's annoying that one of the main ingredients of your meal is missing and you have to order it separately 🙄 She did ask if there was anything else that we wanted but the opportunity was lost already

Great meal, only problem is tip is included in bill which I don’t agree with. 1. How can you be sure that your waiter or waitress gets the money, 2. Some restaurants use this to underpay their staff, 3. It is up to me to decide how good the staff are and whether or not I want to leave a tip

Wonderfully happy, welcoming waiter, excellent French onion soup followed by Breton Chicken with gratin potatoes. Didn't have wine, but tap water is freely available with top ups without asking.

Fabulous French food, superb service, wonderful wine and delightful decor. Would 100% recommend.

Our regular visits for breakfast/brunch are always special , great service , lovely food , staff very attentive. It’s good to be recognised as regular diners and welcomed in the restaurant

The food is great and service good. A little bit luck of service between drinks and food but we really enjoy the evening . Drink we’re good.

Excellent service, excellent food, excellent location. Would recommend this restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff are welcoming and attentive from the minute you walk in.

As always, excellent ambience, service, good presentation and quality of food, happy staff, Cote is surprisingly reasonable and I would say the best restaurant in Brighton for lunch in its class.

This is our favourite place for our birthday treats. Two of us had a super meal complete with a little candle and a 'Happy Birthday' serenade from the staff. Superb atmosphere, excellent food, elegant tableware and wonderful service. Thank you.

I Love Cote. Food always arrives quickly and is very enjoyable, staff are very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back again and I would highly recommend.

The puy lentil dish on the special lunch menu wasn’t very tasty - it was bland and under seasoned. My guest’s fish came out cold but this was quickly rectified and they didn’t charge us for it. The cauliflower soup was OK but a little oily.

I visited Cote in Brighton on Monday with five girlfriends. We try to meet up every three months, we have all been friends for many years. The food and atmosphere as always was excellent.

Excellent service. Always a warm welcome. Delicious food,my boeuf bourgignonwas supremely unctuous and the fish eaters with us enjoyed their dishes too. Cote Brighton never disappoints. Although I go quite often it always feels like a treat

Amazing food and great service. Been twice now and both times have been amazing. Will definitely go back. I had sea bass and my friend had ribeye both dishes were great!

Exceptional service, superb food (especially the vegetarian breakfast*) and great ambience make this Côte my favourite of the several we've been to so far. *I'm usually most happy with with a traditional (meaty) Full English Breakfast but the veggie one is just too good.

Had a lovely lunch at Cote Brighton. My booking request for a table at the window was honoured and the set lunch was very good value. Lovely friendly service, I'd definitely go back.

The standard of food and service was as good as ever. We took friends who had never been there before and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

There are a wealth of restaurants in Brighton but Côte is always one of my favourites, especially if sharing the experience with friends as I did last night. From the ever-pleasant greeting at the door to the equally engaging waiters and waitresses it is always a treat and the food... excellent!

As always, it was a lovely evening. Not 5 stars as the service was quite slow. The food was good, but the crepe wasn’t proper praline as I had been expecting, but full of sickly Nutella.

Lovely variety offered on the early evening menu. All our guests were very happy with their choices. A nice Viognier. Friendly and efficient staff. Thank you.

Really good lunch - far exceeded the a la carte on Saturday - maybe there were less customers so staff not so busy and restaurant not so noisy

I and my companions were pleased with the food and the service. As two of us are vegetarian, we felt we could have done with slightly more choice of non-meat non-fish dishes, but we would all happily eat there again.

This was yet another good experience. Every time we go it is almost full so I think that speaks volumes. Again it was good value and the usual beautifully cooked food.

Another good pre theatre meal at this friendly place. Meal and atmosphere just fine. I’ve been to this venue a few times and it’s always my go to place.

Another enjoyable evening at Cote - pre theatre meal. Chicken dish a little disappointing as it was dry and chewy. However when we were asked if we enjoyed the meal we mentioned it and the waitress deducted a glass of wine from the bill. We hadn’t expected this and it was very pleasantly received.

A weekday lunch at Cote was a good choice for a New Year meal with a group of friends. The set menu is excellent value, with delicious food and attentive service. Surprising how busy it was post-Christmas, but that added to the atmosphere.

Enjoyed the pre- theatre meal this evening. Very good value, delicious food, imaginative menu. Service was brilliant and we were very impressed by the manager (we think it was the manager) who showed us to our table, was very helpful with my gluten free requests and was clearly ensuring that we (and the other diners) received excellent care. Very impressive.

Never any surprises here, good atmosphere and friendly staff and varied menu. A consistent choice for my place to go . Meal plus wine for two £58

Excellent service. Most of our meals were excellent. Sides were very over cooked /peas & beans. One steak was too fatty. 4 out of 5 people very happy so definitely will come back.

I took my wife to Cotes as it is one of our favourite restaurants. We had the £11.50 menu, which was on offer for £9.95. My wife ordered the langoustines,, which were very good, but she only had 5 very small ones on a large plate with some rocket which was dried up. I had the endives & enjoyed them. Next we had the pork navarin, which we had to send back as the parsnip puree was barely warm. The meat had a good flavour, but seemed to have been so cooked that most of it had broken into shreds. It was a shame as all the flavours were good & the restaurant was not very busy. When the bill came we were charged the full price instead of the offer that we had booked, but this was rectified when we queried it. Better luck next time as the meal & the service are normally good there.

A most enjoyable evening at Cote last night. Excellent food and really tasty with lovely flavours. Very attentive and competent waiting staff who kept changing our water as well as bringing Alcohol.

Brilliant restaurant, loved everything about it. Wonderful staff, so caring and interested in our reason for being there. Couldn't improve on anything. Food excellent and would recommend to anyone.

A very nice dining experience. Although it was a busy lunch time service our lunch was excellent and the team from our arrival, through order taking and food delivery was top notch - just the right level of attentiveness. A the food was great too.

Fantastic pre show theatre meal deal for 6. Lovely venue spread out on 2 floors. Quick efficient service would definitely recommend and we would certainly go again.

The service and the food was as excellent as ever - the waiting staff were polite and friendly and the whole experience makes this place always a place to return to.

Ther was as usual a friendly greeting when we got there and the food and service were as good as they always are - would have no problem recommending Cote Brighton.

Not sure how fresh the mussels were???? Rest of food was ok. Staff good. Nice atmosphere. Prefer to be downstairs but we were seated upstairs so will request that if I go again. Amazing creme caramel... that’s why I go!

The meal (lunch) , fish parmentier followed by apple crumble with vanilla ice-cream was delicious, ideal in portion size and well-presented. Service was slower than usual. Had the impression insufficient staff in a busy period. Hopefully this is temporary.

Very nice mid morning breakfast, Cote never dissappoints. The staff are always attentive and the service is always good and the food is always good and well presented

Lovely ambience and staff....good starters and deserts. ...main courses need improvement and wider choice ...grilled chicken large flat garlic flavoured slab. Still nice place to eat.

The main course of steak was chewy and the celeriac was dry and stuck to the serving dish,poor by their standards and for the price charged on the night.

Good value. Very very busy (29/12/18) Treated friends to the meal- therefore I felt I couldn’t complain about the steak & chips being only luke warm. Disappointing.

Again a great experience. Côte is our go to restaurant where ever we go. The menu is good and varied the prices are fair and the service is always excellent

Really nice visit to Cote for Mother’s Day. Our waiter looked after us really well and we really enjoyed ourselves. Food and drink was excellent.
