Wonderful, friendly staff as always. Great food and great atmosphere
We had lovely meal and wonderful service in a relaxed atmosphere
I took a friend who had not been before and she was very impressed especially by the napkins and service as well as the food. She will definitely go again. I found staff attitude even better than usual.
This branch always warns you the plate is very very hot, but the actual food is usually just about warm.
Brilliant meal and service was great. We loved it thanks.
Never fails to please. Once again the food service and experience was totally satisfying. Would not hesitate to recommend.
Fantastic service and great food. Atmosphere is always a great vibe. Andrew is probably the biggest asset to Cote Brighton !
As always, we had a very good meal at Cote
Impeccable service as usual, it’s always lovely walking into an establishment and there’s an instant recognition which makes you feel so welcome.
Another excellent breakfast. Good value and pleasant ambience (much quieter at this time because it was not too busy).
Once again delicious, I think possibly one of the best locations
There was excellent service provided by everybody who dealt with us
Good atmosphere, friendly staff and well presented food. Midweek pre Theatre visit. Will visit again.
Côte consistently delivers high standards of service and quality food. I visited at lunchtime and had the 2 course special which is a great deal. Recommend !
Excellent lunch and lovely atmosphere. I can bring my children and grandparents here and everyone is happy. Lovely location in Brighton too.
It is always a pleasure to visit Cote in Brighton. Not only is the food to Cote's general high standard but the service is impeccable and everything seems to work like clockwork.
Always great service, delicious food, fantastic value. 👍 👍 👍
Very enjoyable meal before going to the Theatre, friendly and attentive staff.
Really enjoyed the evening. As a Coeliac I felt well looked after, there was lots of choice and the food was delicious
We had a great meal our Spanish waiter was excellent!
Fantastic meal wonderful waiter lovely and warm on cold day excellent value
It's a nice atmosphere for lunch. The vegetarian options were limited to be honest.
Excellent dinner with prompt and courteous service. We will be back
Received a warm welcome at the restaurant and shown to table in window. Breakfast was generally good but could have benefitted from being surved on hot plates. Also they didn’t get the egg order correct initially.
great restaurant, good food (very tasty), great service, we love everything about Cotes our favourite restaurant We use it for all our special days (birthdays, anniversaries etc.) & when we do the always offer us a free glass of wine, which is very nice, class act.
All the staff were welcoming and friendly. The service was very good. The menu offered a wide selection and was reasonably priced particularly the set meals.
Lovely food in a beautiful setting. The waiting staff were great. Only negative was that the portion size of the beef bourguignon was a little small and disappointing for the price in relation to the other items ordered.
Good friendly service. Food was good . Pre theatre menu was great value. However, the fish main course very small. Some salad or vegetables with the steak would have been nice.
Good food and enjoyable meal. We are looking forward to seeing what next month's menus are. The service was good. It was very busy there.
very busy and noisy food pleasant except my cabbage was wet and nearly cold. service was slow but that was fine we were in no hurry
As always we both enjoyed our lunch at Cote in Brighton the service was excellent the staff were pleasant and attentive the menu was very varied and we were spoilt for choice
As always , good food and value with exemplary service . Like many large retuarants noise levels can be quite high when busy , however, hard floors sever their puerpose well . Last night's meal exceeded expectations yet again
Great food and wine at a very reasonable price. Pre theatre menu excellent. Very good service with waiting staff most attentative. Only complaint - rest rooms needed attention.
Usually it is excellent. Last night we waited one hour from when we were seated to be served. A white fish pie with white cabbage was poor presentation. The pork belly was not the usual standard. However the staff finally realised there was a genuine problem and our meal was given on the house - too late to give us a leisurely pleasant meal which we were hoping for. Next problem was the ladies toilets. One was too unpleasant to use and the others had NO toilet paper in any of them. These problems we do not expect to encounter at Cote. We were told after waiting 15mins to order that because we had chosen from the main menu, we had a 20 minute wait. Why should this be? This was not written on the menu. The waitress tried her best, but should have spotted the problems sooner.
Good meal and service the atmosphere was fine, slightly noisy, and the food was good although it would be good to have a more varied menu and more ‘french’ food.
Perfectly ok, but I’d damn with faint praise. Go for the minute steak and chips. I guess classic french cuisine is a safe bet. But we weren’t mad on the risotto verde which was very plain. And the ratio of squid to coating in the calamari was wrong - it was like eating croutons. And there also wasn’t much flavour in the coated cod. Perfectly nice staff, but an expensive price to pay for so-so.
I visited Brighton Cote with some friends for a mid week lunch. The set menu of two courses for £11.50 is excellent value. The food was delicious, as always. The only issue on this occasion was a delay in serving a dessert. However, this was acknowledged with an apology, and the charge for it was waived, which was a nice gesture. The atmosphere was buzzy, and the staff friendly.
Always enjoy our visits to Cote in Brighton. Good choices of food and wine, friendly service and a great atmosphere. There have been times when things go awry but quickly resolved. Will go there again.
A very disappointing lunch, three menus including a valentine special and totally inflexible regarding the 'Sharing dessert' even though I chose from the à la carte menu. My wife chose the Valentine menu which was expensive and for two courses could have been from the à la carte, same choices. The pan fried haddock was pretty tasteless and sadly lacking in the sauce, the wilted spinach consisted of four raw spinach leaves and the pommes de terre lyonnais had been heated up (not very well). My steak was however very good but also the peas and lettuce had been reheated. Very little in the way of vegetables. We have been going to Côte in Brighton for some considerable time and this is the most disappointing meal we have had there.
Food was ok, but service was very poor. It was a busy night but waited too long for drinks. Bill came very quickly, they obviously wanted the table.
excellent service and menu choice and good value for money, we were able to dine and comfortably get to the theatre on time, we will come again.
A lovely relaxed dinner with attentive staff and tasty food. A table near the bar gave us a fine view of this impressive room. We'll be back.
Top marks for almost everything. Always a pleasure and delicious! They are remarkably good at what they do. I had the smoked salmon with capers followed by the risotto verte.
Consistency is the key at Cote. Having visited at least 7 times it has always served a varied venue of high quality along with top personal service in a pleasant atmosphere. It continues to maintain these standards. Highly recommended.
Great food and great service as usual. Good location for the theatre. Service is timely and good suggestions from the waiting staff. Will be back!
lovely food and service! they were happy to swap something in the meal for an alternative
Even though it was a very busy lunch-time the staff were attentive and didn't rush us. There was usual good choice of food and lively atmosphere, although it was a little noisy, due to the wooden floors. Excellent value for money.
We chose from the fixed price lunch menu and it was good value for money. However the side dishes of vegetables were very small and for the amount were a bit over-priced. The service was good and the staff very welcoming.
The overall experience continues to be enjoyable, with excellent friendly service, a great atmosphere and an accommodating maitre d’ who was definitely on top of her job. The food was up to the usual high standard of Cote Brighton (not necessarily all of the restaurants in the chain), was very reasonably priced and the set menu was good value.
Really classy restaurant with great atmosphere, efficient and friendly staff, and most importantly delicious well presented food, highly recommended. We will be returning soon, my favorite item on the menu is the creme caramel, its a masterpiece!
