Côte Brighton restaurant

Excellent welcome from greeters Waiter was most efficient and helpful table wonky which was resolved My risotto vert was half warm and half warm. Which was nit nice and I did nit enjoy it. I felt it was just heated up which was a shame as the first time I went there it was excellent. I did nit complain as my friend would have had to wait for the return of my meal which would have been heated up.

Great food and great service not sure about the music

Great lunch with complimentary kir royale for my birthday, a nice touch. Excellent service from our attentive waiter made the occasion one to remember.

Pre theatre meal. Quick service, lovely food! Roast pork belly delicious.

Food good. But, steak overdone; not cooked as asked. Waiting service not as attentive as previously. Wine didn’t seem as smooth; a bit cheaper? Sorry. We’ve loved Côte on many occasion before now. Not dissimilar to Cafe Rouge, though Côte prices.

Very noisy - couldn’t hear the person opposite me talk. Air Conditioning couldn’t cope with the ambient temperature, which made for an uncomfortable evening. The staff were excellent. The food was OK

Always good food, most excellent service ....Noise levels often high ...feature of many restaurants , hard floor , no acoustic insulation ceilings and no soft drapes ....I avoid peak times or near peks times ,however, even lightly loaded as yesterday, 1500 hours noisy , strugging to hear !

From the moment we booked a table to when we arrived on the date, the service was excellent. The members of staff who tended our table were all extremely friendly, welcoming and professional. We were celebrating our daughter's Graduation and the lovely day we had was completed by having a wonderful meal at Cote Brasserie. We certainly recommend this restaurant to everyone and we will definitely be visiting and eating here again when we next visit Brighton.

Friendly staff, very very good food. Lack of drink choices though, no cocktails, limited spirits but around 100 wines, which for a French restaurant is to be expected but when looking at the Ivy as a comparison drink choices are on different levels and not in favour of Cote.

Excellent evening. We were celebrating a birthday and Cote never disappoints. We really enjoyed our meals and the staff were lovely, really attentive.

Overall average. Nice table as requested by the window. Restaurant was nice and cool on a very hot day. Waiter was attentive, kept us supplied with cold water. Had to be asked twice to bring the bill. My usual experience is that meals in Cote are nicely cooked and flavourful. This time I had swordfish - I've had it once before when it was a special and it was really seared and flavourful - this time it was bland, didn't really taste of anything. The chopped up olives and stuff were OK. My friends said their meals were OK but we were all hoping for more, sorry.

Excellent. We were able to take advantage of early evening dinning (before 19.00) from 2 very good menus. A big plus was the special offer of 2 complimentary Kir Royals. The food arrived promptly and was much enjoyed. Staff as always were friendly and efficient, worth the optional 12.5% gratuity!

Such a beautiful place to eat!! I came here after my graduation ceremony with family and staff were friendly as soon as we stepped in. The server came over with drinks swiftly and explained the menu. The menu itself is simple yet more than enough choice of foods. The food itself was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. Will definitely be coming back to COTE Brighton!!!

I had a lovely meal at lunch the Haddock fishcake and friend had the chicken which unfortunately was over cooked and tasteless so she did not enjoy. The wine was lovely and the frozen berries were very good but personally would have preferred ice cream instead of the hot white chocolate which was very yellow and not a lot of taste But thank you for a lovely atmosphere and served by very helpful staff. I love Cote but today the food was a little lacklustre... I’ve been many times and not experienced this before so maybe it was just an off day. Also, the disabled toilet wasn’t particularly clean. Other than that everything was good as usual

Shame there is no designated server, just random people, plonking courses down and clearing plates. So therefore no personal feeling to the experience. Meals arriving in the restaurant on the shoulders of 'carriers' who then have to stand and wait to catch another members eye, whilst we wait looking on. Impersonal service overall. 12.5 % service added for the pleasure.

On the hottest day of the year so far, it felt cool and welcoming when we walked through the door of the Brighton restaurant. It was nice to have a choice if tables as well as the option to eat in or out. Service was very good. Cheerful and helpful staff. It was disappointing to find that the whitebait wasn’t available and when we would have liked to order fishcakes for both of us, there was only 1 left. The starter of apple and cheese was light and perfect for a hot day. Our mains arrived and were hot and tasty. Good value overall. Well done Cote and thanks.

Had a family of 10 reunion for an early evening meal. We were found a table outside as it was so hot which we were very grateful, All the meals came at the same time which was very good organisation. All in all it was a lovely evening.

As on previous occasions, we greatly enjoyed our meal at Côte Brighton. Our food, chosen from the Prestige menu, was tasty and good value for money. The service was friendly and efficient and the ambience agreeable, and we liked the French-Impressionist-painting feel (lights and mirrors) of the restaurant's decor.
