Tasty food with sufficient variety in cosy and classy atmosphere. We had the three course set menu which is good value.
Great ambience. Service excellent, but measly portions in the £20.00 2 course lunch.
Fantastic meal and service so very well looked after by all concerned. Already looking forward to our next visit.
Always good with great service. So pleased that the Breton Fish Stew is back on the menu
The founders of this business got it spot on!! Good food, great service and ambience. Just like being in Paris..
The flatbread with the Camembert did not look very appealing and although it tasted OK, I could not really taste the cheese, not sure what the paste on it was supposed to be. Less bread and a little more cheese would have been better and the paste (onion maybe?) on the side. The venison pie had the thinnest layer of venison, the potato mash was watery and the braised cabbage that came with it was bland. The side order of potato gratin was nice at least, but overall a disappointing meal (and it was my work team's Christmas Lunch!). I have eaten well at Cote a number of times previously, but not sure I would chose it again after today's meal, sorry.
Celebrating 30th birthday for my daughter. Had wonderful service and free sidecars. Thank you. One guest said that the duck was a bit tough but that was only gripe we had. Will definitely return x
Good meal and good service, a bit disappointed at the number of dishes that were off the menu, and not being told that the crème brulee also wasn't available but nice that we didn't have to say that we had booked using the offer for the cocktails, they were just delivered to the table straight away. Also good that we were offered seating upstairs which was quieter and less busy. We have eaten a few times at the Brighton Cote and always had a good meal, thanks to the team there.
A great place to have a good value lunch and talk over a long coffee
Had a lovely meal with great service. 👍 Also managed to bag a couple of free cocktails.
Poor food on the whole and overpriced for the standard of taste.
The usual very good food. Most of the staff were excellent despite it being very busy.
Pre-theatre dinner - good service, speedy but not rushed, lovely food reasonably priced - a winning combination.
I tried the Prestige menu this time and again superb the standard of cooking is as good as some of the expensive restaurants in London.
Very disappointed that there were a number of dishes from the menu that were unavailable, choices such as fillet steak, chateaubriande and boeuf bourgognon which were the type of choices that we had chosen the particular restaurant for my daughter's 21st. They did, however offer her a complementary Kir Royal.
Always a good standard of food and service. Staff attentive and charming. One of the reliable restaurants in Brighton.
Lovely family meal out, my son and daughter loved the steak and chocolate pot, excellent childs menu.
Great food great wine great atmosphere and great service !
Food was excellent but the service was rather slow .
It was, as ever, buzzy and fun with good polite and professional service and nice food
Thanks for a brilliant meal as always, great service and buzzy atmosphere.
Lovely restaurant, lively atmosphere and pretty consistent with the quality of food to suit most palates.
I asked for one extra person as it was a celebration for my birthday They refused because she needed a wheelchair and a special seat area. I was denied so went to Carluccios. I cancelled by phone in the afternoon yet still got a call at quarter to 8. Very disappointed. I feel this is a prime example of discrimination against the less able but the ones who should be included.
Excellent service food and wine. Will definitely visit again soon.
Had a lovely meal and I really enjoyed the Mir Royal given to me for my birthday. The pork fillet was delicious, so tender and full of flavour. My friend has to have gluten free food and really appreciates the attention to detail regarding her food order as well as the variety of food choices. We have booked to come back when we got to the theatre in 4 weeks time.
The reception was friendly and efficient, the food was delicious and owing to a hearing problem I had asked for a window seat which was specially reserved for me. 10/10!
Great value, lovely atmosphere, delicious food, great gluten free options and friendly service - all in all a really enjoyable evening spent at Cote in Brighton
Beautiful venue, lovely staff, great food, fabulous evening with friends!
A bit disappointed. I’ve had nicer meals here. One of the starters arrived nearly 30 minutes before the other and the cheese board was underwhelming. The watercress garnish on the starter should have been eaten a couple of days earlier. There’s lots of competition in this price point in Brighton so service and food really needs to be sharp.
The location and atmosphere are good here. We had the pre theatre meal at 11.95. I had to send my cod back as it had been kept warm too long and was hard. dry and inedible. They did quickly make another which was much better but I would rather not have had to do it in the first place. Portions are small in this price range.
We really enjoyed our visit and the Complimentary aperitif. Great service. Our waiter has served us on previous visits and we wish him well on his new job. The only slight negative was our steaks were a little bit tough but apart from that as always consistently good food
Couldn’t fault welcome, service, food or drink. Slightly surprised to find half used toilet rolls in bin, what a waste of paper. Why?
Yet another excellent lunch to celebrate my daughters birthday , always excellent value for money .
Very warm welcome in excellent surroundings.superb food with complimentary cocktails
Very enjoyable lunch, excellent food and service. That is it!!
A delicious meal served by a very friendly waitress. Good ambiance. I just do not agree with adding 12% to the bill - I would prefer to sort my own tip in cash.
Excellent service; interesting menu; a bit noisy; reliably good !
Very enjoyable food as usual. Service rather slow. We arrived at six. Ordered after our drinks at about 6.15 but not served until after 7. We had no time for dessert or coffee as we were going to the Theatre Royal and left at 7.30.
Tasty food, served by friendly attentive staff in a lovely venue
Lovely service. left to have a great catch up with my friends. xxx
A most enjoyable experience. Excellent friendly, prompt and attentive service. Good food and wine and a pleasant atmosphere. The ideal prelude to the show we were seeing at The Dome later that evening. Thank you.
Visited Cote in Brighton on Tuesday 19th. Good choice on the set menu and attentive service. Food well presented and very tasty. Happy to give a tip if all the above is the case but wonder if most customers would be happier with 10% rather than the automatic 12.5% they add.
Always good value and reliably good food. Good too for pre-theatre.
Friendly staff and great food as always! Had a lovely lunch there
We booked this for our son’s 21st birthday and we couldn’t fault the food or service it was excellent.
Busy Saturday night for the staff! Prawn Gratinee .Beef Boulanaise Chocolate Mouse
Calamari starter was overcooked, the main was okay but the food was only warm. The wine was described as being peach and apricot but on the bottle was described as pears and grapefruit. A few thousand misprints for sure. On the whole we like the atmosphere and the service is always exemplary.
Great staff and great food unfortunately 2 lots of fries were not added as they should have been, But the staff done their best to get them to table asap but unfortunately were undercooked due to the rush, this hasn't changed our opinion on the restaurant or the staff and shall be back
I would love to say we enjoyed our meal but sadly I cannot. We booked for a pre theatre dinner and allowed plenty of time. The first course arrived very quickly and then nothing. Clearly there must have been a big problem in the kitchen as many other tables were waiting too. No one bothered to explain despite our questions and we had to leave without our meal. A very disappointing experience.
It was great! I really enjoyed the delicious food with my friend! Thank you so much.
