Côte Brighton restaurant

We came for breakfast this morning as this is our favourite restaurant. The quality of the food is amazing and just so tasty! The scrambled eggs are out of this world. Never had a bad meal here

We try other restaurants in Brighton from time to time but always come back to you folk at Cote Brighton as it is ALWAYS a pleasurable experience - for the good food and wine (your house wine is most delectable!)), for the excellent service, for the general friendly, warm ambiance of your restaurant. I love Cote and always enjoy sitting in the window and watching the the world go by while eating good food and drinking excellent wine. Perfect for a special birthday for my husband. On arrival I was amazed that we were given a free glass bubbly each. Absolutely brilliant and completely unexpected. Superb food apart from my partners chicken was “dry”. I’ve suggested Cote to so many of my friends for every meal from breakfast to dinner.

100% all good. However our waitress was suffering from a heavy cold and she really should not have been working that night. I fear some of our party may have contracted it.

Great restaurant and good food. We really enjoy it when we go. Just a bit noisy so you really want a table in a corner.

The staff were delightful and overall our meal was very enjoyable. We pre-booked our orders for 8 covers, one was slightly incorrect but readily and easily changed. There was quite a delay in serving our desserts owing to the volume of people; however we were offered complimentary drinks and this didn't cause us an y problem at all. The only slight negative was the position of our table in the window. It was quite cold in the corner, especially with the air con in the ceiling and an air vent in the floor. We have eaten here several times before and I am certain will continue to support this restaurant.

The food is good as always but the service wasn’t great as it used to be.

It was very busy lunchtime on New year's Eve so we had to wait a bit for our mains but overall the service was excellent and the staff friendly. We had the December set menu the food was very good and value for money so I could splash out on a glass of Tattinger!

Our group waited about 20 mins before the staff took our drink order, although food was served quickly. I prefer to be seated downstairs as a better atmosphere

Service and booking were excellent. The food underwhelming compared to other visits. No vegetables with the fish pie which was really dry. Rest was fine.

Good all round but chose table by window which proved to be chilly as gap where it doesn’t close tightly and air conditioning blowing

Had to ask to order drinks and meal, and hassle at the end to get our bill so we could leave. Otherwise excellent service. Haddock dish. The sauce had separated and there was almost half a cupful of milk left in the dish.

I thought it was great. I regularly eat at Cote. Especially because the choice of gluten free is so good. My only grip was that there was no gluten free menu for early eaters. When I asked to have one thing off the gluten free menu and one gf off the non gf but still gf early menu I was told, by the manageress, I wasn’t allowed to mix menus. I thought this was inflexible, especially as there wasn’t the same menu choice and also in the contex that the two dishes I wanted, the pork tenderloin and the sausages had all sold out by 6.30, leaving my choice very limited on the fixed menu. Unusual as normally your staff are so obliging and as I said your gf is so good.

As usual the Cote staff were such very friendly & welcoming. I got the table in the window I requested & the Dee Dee & our waitress were absolutely lovely 😊. Thank you Cote x
