Côte Brighton restaurant

I went to Cote after my graduation ceremony. Very nice food and very nice staff who all congratulated me and made my day special! Thanks!

We started off with the February special cocktail: blood orange martini, which was yummy. Had a really nice meal off the el cheapo £11.95 menu, and a bottle of Pinot Noir which was lovely. As usual served by friendly knowledgeable people. Difficulty conversing as restaurant acoustics leave something to be desired. Par for the course these days, but I do wish it would be addressed.

Booked an afternoon table for a friends Birthday lunch. We were given a choice of tables, we were swiftly served with a complimentary glass of champagne which was a lovely gesture. Our waiter offered prompt service and was extremely helpful with our vegan menu questions and suggestions. Our food arrived in a timely manner and tasted delicious. I would highly recommend.

Sophisticated atmosphere. Quality food efficiently delivered. Please advise before we order if an item from a very short list is unavailable. Please advise how one might choose to reduce the service charge on the card machine.

With the discount voucher, good value. Good food, good surroundings, all good!

Good service & excellent food. A minor error in the order brought profuse apologies and a reduction from the bill although in truth it was an easy error to make & was quickly remedied. A meal at Cote is always a pleasure.

I enjoyed meal , the food is delicious as always Service great , however I phoned restaurant 1 hour earlier to make sure the table is booked as I haven’t receive any confirmation and I told that it’s my boyfriend birthdays and I asked to treat him with the birthday dessert ( that he ordered ) and that didn’t happen. I saw other people receiving nice desserts with candles and nice written “happy birthday “ on the plate. Shame he didn’t receive that... Apart of this we really enjoyed our stay :)

Amazing service and very friendly staff. Perfect for a night out with some friends or family. The amount you pay is beyond how good the quality of the food is. Love it.

Celebrated joint birthdays which we do every January. As usual it was all good and we appreciated our Kir Royals. It rarely disappoints.

We chose Cote because the vegetarian menu online gave lots of choice. When we sat down we had to ask for this menu, it was not offered or on the table. Good starters - French onion soup and eggs florentine. The main courses sounded great but the mushroom parmentier was very disappointing. Too hot to eat for ages, by which time the accompanying cabbage was just a bowl of cold, dry, bland cabbage. And the portion size felt very tight. We basically left hungry. As so often, the vegetarian choice just didn't feel good value, when for a pound or two more you can get a good piece of fish or half a chicken.

Fabulous food and service. We were a large group of 11 and the service was great.

Great food. Friendly, chatty attentive staff. very reasonable prices. We had the meal before 7 p.m. so it was special offers it was £20 per person for three courses prestige menu. sumptuous surroundings.

We had a pre theatre meal and my husband sent his steak back as it was tough. It was replaced without any problem and we were not charged for it. We thought it was a very kind thing to do. We eat at cote often and always find it great.

We are regulars at Côte Brighton because we love it so much. We have been going for years and love it here. The first thing that makes this such a special place is the staff. The service is impeccable and last night 31st January) our server was 5 star. He was polite, thoughtful and efficient. All of the staff and management are lovely. The second thing is the food. It was fantastic and always is I have never had a bad plate there. We took the January set menu offer and it was a bargain. The third is the decor. Absolutely love the way it is decorated in here, very French and deco. Wonderful wonderful place. Will always be my go to favourite. Other restaurants need to take note and learn how to run a restaurant properly by visiting this one. It was absolutely packed but we never had to wait long for anything it does get very noisy but that cant be helped

We had a lovely meal today with great service. All in all a very good experience.

Reservation was for a birthday lunch. Staff very pleasant and helpful. As birthday celebration, we had a complimentary Kir Royale on arrival and happy to serve birthday cake we provided. An excellent and relaxed venue for a celebration lunch.

Nice atmosphere, food tasted good and served quickly, but could have done with bigger portions for the 2 course set menu.

Having responded to your January Sale offer we were disappointed with the lunch today. The Sardine starter should have been accompanied by a magnifying glass! All 3 of us remarked on the difficulty of locating the sardines on the plate. My wife was also concerned by the unimaginative Puy lentil/roast vegetable dish. Tasteless was her comment. However, our waitress was a delight.

Good food but lights dimmed too low. I could barely see my food! I asked to have them turned up a little but No. I came last Monday and there were not so dim. Also I'd booked for your 9.95 for two courses after you sent me this promotional email. Mentioned it at the start... Was still charged 11.95 so had to get bill amended. Same thing happened last Mon too. Also billed for kir royales that had been given as a birthday treat.

We actually walked out of the restaurant and won't be returning - We had booked a specific table that we like and when we got there someone was already eating at it - Half of the restaurant was empty, so why they had to sit there I don't know - we were then given a table right by the door - in cold January or one by the window - when I asked for a table further in the restaurant - which was actually empty - both sides and from the front to back of the room - they said no. With The Ivy just around the corner and so many other restaurants in Brighton they really need to up their stake in customer service. I am happy to have my review made public but doubt you will - there is always trip advisor !

Good food, pleasant atmosphere and fast, attentive service even though they were quite busy. Very good value for money.

I have always thought very highly of Cote and all their restaurants I have eaten. Tonight, while there was a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere the food was not as good as it usually is. We had to send two mains back as they were cold and the other mains were not brilliant either. Such a shame as was a birthday meal for a very close friend. Staff were good at trying to sort things but overall was not nearly as good as it should have been or I expect from Cote ... a disappointment to say the least :(

As always the food and service was very good and set us up for our trip to the theatre.
