Côte Brighton restaurant

Great hospitality. Staffs are helpful. Just asked birthday pudding but they sang a birthday song and gave us a glass of champagne too! It is nice place to have a something special occasions!!

Really disappointed by the service. Not even busy but waiters either short staffed or inattentive. We allowed 90 minutes and even ordered from the Plates Rapide section of the menu. We only had enough time for one course... I was really looking forward to the creme caramel, but we had to leave. I tried to get Maitre De's attention and he shouted "what?" across the restaurant and went to answer a telephone. I'm sure that isn't the usual level of service one expects at Cote. The Waiters all reach across diners when there is ample room to stand next to each diner. It was really sad to see how one of our favourite ore theatre restaurants could get it all so wrong.

Very disappointing,the service was not good long wait for food ,I would understand it if the restaurant was full but it was half empty. We always go to Cote before the Theatre Royal, but last night we had to rush our dessert, in order to get there for 7.30.

We enjoyed the food very much. We had to leave promptly as we were going to the theatre but the payment took longer than hoped.

Very good service. Professional as ever. Moules could have been better but main courses good. Lamb was filling, smoked haddock tastey but could have been more succulent. Thanks.

Always a warm welcome, great service,delicious food. Dining at Côte Brighton always feels like a more expensive experience. Faultless and my go to restaurant for dining with friends I love Côte !

After a slightly sticky period, a few years back, this Brighton branch now scores consistently highly on all fronts. It has possibly the best interior of any Cote, being a converted Victorian music library where even the basic Set Menu, served with panach in this setting, feels like an event. The new autumn menu is excellent - Moules Cidre with bacon, is a very tasty addition. Chain restaurant fare at it's very best.

Had the early evening menu, absolutely fantastic as usual. For the price really excellent value. Staff were all helpful and very polite. We shall be returning.

As usual the restaurant was well filled even at 6.30pm,we tried the special 10 year Anniversary meal which was very tasty and enjoyed the complimentary Fizz,looking forward to our next visit

Nice location for theatre, lovely attentive staff and delicious food. Every time I go I'm never disappointed although a change of menu would be welcome!

Food excellent friendly staff and nice ambiance the second time I have been to cote, first time in Brighton but same standard of food and service. Would recommend to friends.

Excellent, although it was very busy the staff were always attentive, the food was brilliant and served quickly with panache. A lovely lunch. We are already planning our next visit.

Greeted as soon as arrived given multi choice of seats waitress was attentive and friendly food was superb cannot fault at all thourally recommended will return

One of our favorite places in Brighton. Great for Lunch and Dinner. Given that - although we haven't been yet - I'd assume breakfast would be wonderful also.

As always, good food, good atmosphere and excellent service from professional staff. The menus are always tempting with some interesting twists on French staples - moules au cidre for example.

One word - perfection!! We go here for every day meals and special occasions and I have to say I cannot believe they never fail to impress me!!

Really attentive helpful friendly waiter. Helped made the Birthday celebration fun. Might have been nice if more decoration added to dessert rather than single candle. Chocolate sign saying "Happy Birthday" or sparkler etc. Lunch delicious and great staff. Thanks.

Had a great meal and very good value with the early dinner set menu. They only negative was waiting 10 minutes to pay the bill. Staff were all very nice.

Wonderful, the staff are fun and attentive, the food is great and delicious. The venue is a touch warm but overall a very satisfying evening.

I have been going to Cote since it first opened in Brighton. I have never had a bad meal there. The staff are brilliant and the food is excellent

The food was very good and service was excellent. I visit Cote frequently and always get good value for money especially with the weekday set menu.

A great lunch, as always. Set menu and a la carte both fitted the bill perfectly. Looking forward to an excuse for our next visit. No doubt that won't be difficult to find. Well done front of house and backstage.

Great ambience, good service, tasty food! Was recommended by friends and I wouldn't hesitate to eat there again. It was also busy, which is a good sign in the restaurant world!

Food was good but far too much upselling. Sides were not required as the portions were adequate, despite being advised they were recommended. Order small red wine and on review of bill it was a large glass. Another step towards obesity due to upselling.

Impeccable food and service as always, our waiter was absolutely fantastic, so friendly yet remaining professional at all times. We felt like royalty by the time we left.

Very warm and welcoming. Excellent service, very attentive and very friendly. I had a problem with my main and the manager noticed, even though I didn't complain and he immediately took it off the bill added that he had spoken to chef. Plus we had a free mint tea. Very enjoyable afternoon. Thank you.

unfortunately the sauce for our grilled plaice was missing the mushrooms described in the menu. It was redone and we were given complimentary deserts so all was forgiven

We came here for lunch where the set menu has a few new dishes, which makes this restaurant even more attractive for regular visitors like me. As usual the service was virtually faultless and the food was good. Highly recommended - this really is one of the best Cotes in the country.

i am a regular visitor to Cote. It never fails to deliver fab food accompanied with great service. It's the small things like chilled water on the table often this is asked for and it gets forgotten ! See you soon Cote

Booking on the website was straight forward. Our table was in a great position and our meals were served within reasonable time. When there was a mishap with our order, it was dealt with in a very professional manner.

Really enjoyed the food, was a lovely family meal. We have been a number of times and Cote is a favourite of ours. Had the Confit of Duck on the specials which was lovely.

The food is of a high standard,the service excellent and the lunch and early evening menus are great value. Not surprisingly I eat here at least once a fortnight.

We were in time to order the set menu (before 7pm) we have visited several times before and as usual everything was lovely thank you

Charged for a complimentary birthday kir royale and also for the kir royale included in the anniversary meal deal. Rib eye tough and stringy and had to be sent back. Steak frittes was tough. Our table window was covered in flies behind a curtain. Very poor.

Great service - efficient and friendly staff. Food always excellent value for money. Enjoyable evening all round - will definitely return again in the future.

Restaurant is lovely and staff are very friendly and welcoming - excellent customer service. Great choice of food including breakfast menu and set 2 or 3 course menu before 7pm. Would certainly recommend.

We opted for the September specials of lamb shank and confit duck, which were extremely delicious! The service was great as always. The only thing I think should be looked at is the service charge already present on the bill as there was only two of us I didn't think that was right.

Always reliable and great service. I particularly like the Steak Tartare and the Tuna Nicoise but have enjoyed everything I've tried there. And the Chocolate Mousse is heavenly.

Fab selection of food and menus to choose from and fantastic taste across all courses. Good service that made us feel individual on a busy night too.

Great atmosphere/ambient, food was good and quick. Waiters were extremely attentive and friendly. Highly reccomend. I ordered a steak and asked for it rare, it came cooked perfectly. Great wine too.

Went on a busy, warm Saturday night for a pre theatre meal. We had pre booked. We were warmly welcomed. The service was quick, efficient and staff attentive. Food was adequate and good value. There was a large outdoor seating area at the back of the restaurant which looked pleasant although we di not go in it. I recommended the restaurant and would visit again.

Waited an age (40 minutes) for our starters when they arrived they were cold and sent them back. The food was nice though and the service was pleasant and very apologetic and the maitre d knocked £24 (unprompted) off the bill for our inconvenience.

Wonderful food, great value, perfect staff. The whole atmosphere at Cote, Brighton, is brilliant. The waiters always seem to go the extra mile. Will visit again and again.

Unfortunately the service was poor this evening, very very slow and not the usual attentive waiters / waitresses on hand. It was very busy but that doesn't normally affect the service standards. Food was great as always however!

Warm atmosphere in a very decorative setting. The service was prompt and friendly and of course the food was as good as ever. Highly recommended.
