The day manager in the 8-04-17 was fantastic . The staff witty and happy great work guys . Food was ok .a little more pics ingredients in the cod parmentier
The restaurant has a fabulous atmosphere and the staff do a fantastic job always very helpful and polite have been many times now and have always enjoyed myself
Good food, average service. Using twenty five words is unnecessary as one can easily sum up the service and food in a couple of words
Lovely food and friendly service as always. The service was quick and atmosphere was great - it never feels like you're in a chain restaurant.
All very good service also good I will definatly be going again as I enjoyed it so much I thought the menu choice was execellent Many Thanks for an enjoyable lunch Margaret Gill
A set menu meal at Cote Brighton is always extremely good value. Moreover, the staff are friendly without being pushy. i can't fault my trip.
Lovely food and attentive service however the soup turned up with garlic mayo instead of croutons and the veg accompanying the duck was very sparse.
Great food excellent service I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all my friends and will return again soon , ideal for the pre dinner meal.
We had the set menu 3 course lunch menu excellent food and service. Good atmosphere and surroundings. Would defiantly choose this restaurant again. We booked online and they have a rewards system.
Food good as usual. Slightly disappointed with service, waiter slow seemed unable to multi task. Needs to be more aware of diners requirements just by observing when passing tables. Usually the waiting staff are very switched on!
Lovely food fabulous service and more importantly they are consistant in providing both. A winning formula! Which I hope they continue with for a long time to comr
once again a most enjoyable time was had by all. The food choice suited everyone and was served in a happy manner. We always look forward to our visits and only wish we had a branch in Cornwall where we live . thank you .
Staff were very attentive and food was great too. We got there a bit late and were in a rush, staff understood and rushed our food out despite the restaurant being very busy.
Dessert was really nice, even better than main course. Its better to go on week days, since they have lunch set and it will be much cheaper.
This is a very spacious restaurant with a very good Sunday brunch menu. The service is very efficient from a very pleasant and friendly group of staff.
Enjoyed experience very much. Service very good. Food nice - haddock parmentier far too salty though, I thought. My companion didn't notice but her dish was noticeably different to mine. Hers was in a nice sauce and browned on top, mine lacked sauce and was rather dry, and was not browned, or barely, on top.
Cote Brighton is our favourite go-to restaurant in Brighton - a city with many good restaurants - because the food is always consistently good, the value is unbelievably good and the service is excellent. Perfect for a pre-theatre dinner since it is a few steps away from the Dome.
As always, great service and beautiful food. Not massive portions, just as it should be so you can enjoy a 3 course meal without feeling stuffed or guilty .
Excellent food, value, and service. From start to finish we enjoyed the whole experience. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly as indeed was the lady who met us on entering the restaurant.
As always this venue was lively and the staff welcoming. The food is really good and I am only giving a score of 5 rather than 6 because I was a little disapppointed in my main course - my fault for choosing it. I should have stuck with one of my old favourites. I shall be back and look forward to it. We often go to Cote in Chichester too - also always a pleasure.
Cote Brasserie - Brighton. Attentive service, good choice on the menu, excellent House Red and coffee was really good, all in all a good start to a night out at the Theatre Royal and it was not far to walk either. Highly recommended.
the food was good and so was the service. the table was slightly mobile. we liked the position of our table but it was also a bit of a thoroughfare.
Arrived on Sunday evening and restaurant was very busy. However, we had booked and although early restaurant was more than happy to accommodate us. All the staff very very efficient and friendly and the food which was served very promptly was excellent.
Apart from slight booking issue - rewards programme assumed 2 people and couldn't seem to change it to 4 - everything was excellent. Perhaps there could be more scallops?!
Just like any other Côte, good service, good food and for a reasonable price. Would happily go back again just like any other Côte, thank you.
Arrive at appointed. Time of 2.00pm and by 2.50 had only had 1st course at least 35mins before 2nd course arrived. Management said they had a lot of customers and yet there were many empty tables. Go often to Cotes in Ealing Chiswick and Westbourne grove always good service A pity to have bad experience
Great service and great food for my sons 18th Birthday celeb. Attentive waiters/waitresses. Great all round as we have come to expect from one of Brightons best restaurants. Thank you!
Eating here is always such a special experience. The food is amazing but it is the service that is really outstanding. You are welcomed as a valued customer and nothing is too much trouble. It's also brilliant value for money.
Food was ok. They had a large hen party downstairs which meant we were shouting to hear each other at our table for two. We were at a tiny table which was part of a row of tables they have added since the last time I was here. We felt very squashed. Prices have definitely gone up and I would say it is no longer good value. There are better restaurants in Brighton in this price range. They just seem to be after the money and no longer care about diners. I probably won't go again, unless I'm in a hen party!
Food very good, but the wait for the main course was way too long. Restaurant seemed overstretched on a Sunday before bank holiday. This was a pity as the space is great, food is good, value for money also commendable. I mentioned the wait to the wait staff but no explanation or apology was given.
The food was really tasty and the atmosphere was great, the only negative is that the service was a bit slow but it was very busy so that's understandable.
Wonderful welcome. Excellent choice of food which everyone enjoyed. It was a very busy time at the restaurant and perhaps the service could have been a little more attentive. Overall would certainly recommend and look forward to another visit.
Good experience, good food, plenty of it, well cooked, mostly well and rapidly served (there was a slight hiccup somewhere along the line but nothing serious, I can't remember what it was, maybe we had to remind someone that we'd ordered coffee?? - but it was nothing). We were four and had the pre-theatre menu at 5pm on Friday. The bill was just less than £100 inc. the service charge, and everyone had three courses and coffee and we had a bottle of wine (your Viognier - which is good!). As we learnt when we lived in France, the crucial equation is 'le rapport entre la qualité et le prix' - and, in our opinion, this was (again as they say in France) 'correcte' (100%). In general, we find Côte, Brighton, very reliable on this score.
Very good food as always. However, as often happens, long wait to catch waiter's eye to pay. When you need to get away, this can be annoying.
Table not fully wiped and it wobbled. Candle not lit and it needed replacing. Otherwise very enjoyable experience although, oddly, seemed less tasty than usual.
Great service. All the waiting staff were attentive but not at all intrusive. They made special arrangements for me to sit somewhere comfortable as I use crutches. The food was delicious and the house wine highly satisfactory.
Always a pleasure to visit Cote in Brighton - delicious food and wine, stylish surroundings, and the staff are really welcoming and attentive. 5 stars!
From start to finish the staff were polite and attentive. Really busy in there as always but didn't feel rushed. Nice relaxed atmosphere All 4 of us had different meals and all enjoyed them . Will be visiting again
We went to the Cote in Brighton for the first time. The service was good. I ordered the chicken, walnut and advocado salad which was twice returned to me without the advocado. Eventually I did get the correct order after 20 minutes, with no dressing! The staff were kind but disorganised. I have had the same salad in Haywards Heath which was bigger and better all round. My friend also felt that her 1/2 chicken dish had been sitting on the side for some time, it was only tepid. Shame, we are both fans of Cote and hope this was a one off poor experience.
Got a free Kir Royale because it was my birthday. Food excellent as always. Sublime Crème caramel. I go there very regularly and the food is always great as is the service.
Good choice of dishes, well prepared with seasonal specials that change each month. Great staff, polite and welcoming providing a good service. Very busy so need to book.
Very nice breakfast, lovely staff. Good quality ingredients nicely cooked and presented, big pot of tea and large glass of orange or apple juice all included. Water provided without having to ask, will definitely go back.
Great food at good prices and excellent service. The assistant manager and waiter went out of their way to welcome us and look after our needs. The Brighton branch continues to be our favourite.
Lovely food, excellent and friendly service, all very prompt and seamless, but the room was very, very hot. Could really do with some air conditioning.
Fantastic food, great service - a lovely anniversary lunch. My Beef Bourgignon was mouth-wateringly good, washed down with an excellent Pinot Noir. Thank you Cote
The food was amazing, never had such delicious whitebait , great steak frites. Would definitely recommend this restaurant in fact I have been raving about it to my friends. Service very friendly and attentive.
This is the first time I have been disappointed with a meal at this restaurant. I had the Hachis Parmentair, with peas. Unfortunately I had to send it back because it was only warm & I had asked the waiter to make sure it was hot before he brought it to the table. I did not eat all of it a sit was quite dry & in the bottom of the dish at the sides it was black. It was a shame as we always enjoy the food at this restaurant.
We had a great meal but initially all our meals - 2 steaks , 2 fish were served very cool. However, they took them back and served 4 fabulous plates of food with an additional couple of basic salads. Staff were fabulous.
It was my first time at this restaurant and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The staff were friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble and they deal well with food allergies. The food was enjoyable.
The food was delicious as always and the service was great. My only gripe is that I dropped off a cake for my son for his birthday with 3 lots of chocolates and candles that i bought ( I did offer to decorate it myself) the cake came out without any of the extra's on it...and they were not offered to me!!!!! the staff then had to run around and find them.....disappointed with that. :(
