This was the second year when I have celebrated Christmas Eve at Cote. As last year, it was a very enjoyable evening, with a good festive atmosphere. In addition to the Christmas Menu, it was possible to select from the A la carte menu. The food was as good as ever. Have already booked to eat there in January!
Lovely friendly greeting upon arrival. Great choice of delicious food from either set menu or al à cart menu. Brilliant choice of wine and drinks. Why would you not go to Côte Brighton?
Spot on and lovely service. Will go there again soon . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Chose Christmas menu. We ordered Calamari to be told not available. We selected goat cheese instead. Later two tables near to us were served Calamari! There was an excessive wait for dessert to be served. However, the manager came and apologised without us having to complain. She also didn't charge for a side and two coffees in recognition of the dessert delay.
3/4 dishes sent back. The kitchen was a disaster. The quality was good when the order was right. Otherwise a good atmosphere and charming service.
Great food as ever and very fine friendly service even on a particularly busy lunchtime. Always love my visits to Cote whether for lunch or the evening.
Lovely dining experience every time, blissfully consistent even during the Christmas rush. Delicious food. Attractive restaurant environment. Pleasant and professional waitress and server, all at a modest price point.
It’s such a lovely venue and the service was fantastic. Always good food there and perfect for couples through to large groups. I highly recommend it.
I always say that I never leave a Côte disappointed but unfortunately I did this time. There weren’t enough staff to cope with the number of diners and whilst our waitress was lovely, the food took ages to arrive. Unfortunately we were going to the theatre so the time mattered. I ordered medium rare steak and I got a gristly, fatty barely cooked lump of meat that I couldn’t eat. Due to the time constraints I couldn’t ask for another one. Excellent customer service tho as when I pointed it out it was taken off the bill immediately.
great breakfast menu with friendly, attentive staff and great venue to meet up with friends to enjoy a morning get together, will definitely be recommending this venue to friends and family
As a Cote regular it's nice that the staff remember you and there is always a warm welcome. The food never disappoints and is fresh, well cooked and very tasty.
Went for lunch with 3 yr old granddaughter and daughter. Had very nice meal. Staff good with children. We booked for noon and restaurant got quite busy. Being in a central position for theatres, lanes, Pavilion etc it is always a popular place to visit.
Generally the food and atmosphere very good. One small issue was the fish was over cooked, a bit hard! Not really, up to stanard. Otherwise, enjoyable evening.
Still maintaining their excellent service Still maintaining their excellent service Still maintaining their excellent service Still maintaining their excellent service a a a a a
Waited a long time for food then both meals were cold In the middle Fish pie Manager took away and apologetic , but waited 55 mins before it came back and that was because I chased Manager took food off bill and was very nice and apologetuc It was busy and man had ambulance so a bit hectic Would still recommend When we did get everything hit it was lonely Staff were nice but kitchen let them down and waitress should have checked
Had a lovely lunch at Côte celebrating my daughters birthday. The staff are amazing and always make you feel welcome and special. Have been there a few times now and food always amazing and service excellent . Love how they celebrate everyone’s birthday.
We were obliged to sit upstairs which I didn't want to do but was assured it would be full within minutes but it wasn't. Missed the downstairs atmosphere. Also my meal was luke warm when it arrived. They did warm it up for me and then, to my surprise didn't charge me for it. So I appreciated that. The whole experience was not what we're used to at Cote Brighton.
Obviously a popular Brighton restaurant and good food usually of a good standard
Nice quiet meal sat under the stairs nice and out of the way
A good meal and nice friendly staff What more do you want
The front of house staff are always welcoming and now remember us which is nice
The atmosphere was pleasant and warm. Greeted by very nice member off staff. The food was wonderful and the wine was just right service was great
terrible !!!!!! no call to say the gas was off so i had taken my mother with alzheimers got her ready etc taxi everything !!! no meal not happy at all , where do you go on a friday night with no booking awful !!!!!!!!
Really poor service. Certainly not worth the “optional” tip. Wish I hadn’t paid it. Côte has been my go-to restaurant in Brighton for some years, but I’m going to review that if I get ignored again.
Nice place - good food and good service. We enjoyed ourselves and will come again - Cote is our regular place to get together with friends!
We enjoyed our starter and mains ,but unfortunately we were unable to have a dessert or coffee as all gas and electricity supply was lost .They were very apologetic and we were not charged for our meal .This would not stop us going again .
Nice greeting at the door , showed to our table , good service ,tasty food , quick turnaround as we were going to the theatre we needed it to be quick . No complaints , only one suggestion - more vegetarian options on the menu would be nice , my choice as a vegetarian was very limited .
Excellent food as always, despite being very busy, charming and efficient staff who always really make the difference that keeps us coming back again and again.
Unfortunately power failure meant we only had the first course which was a tasty parsnip soup. I was surprised there was no generator back up. We would like to go again - more to our local (Haywards Heath) Cote. Perhaps you could send a voucher to make up for our disappointment and our having to search for somewhere else to have our main meal.
excellent three course meal... moules, coq auv vin and berries. Attentive helpful waiters. Have booked for January in London and have voucher for free wine.
When I visit Cote Brighton I am always warmly welcomed and looked after very very well. I love the food and decor of course. Wishing you and all a very Happy Christmas & New Year 2019
Can’t fault this Cote. central location. Usual Cote layout and look . Service was efficient and food delicious. Not too pricey with usual pre and post theatre menus.christmas menu seemed popular and the place was buzzing . Never feels like a chain restaurant.
Delightful lunch. Best Minute steak we had enjoyed during our many visits to Cote. Great starters and desserts. Very friendly attentive staff and efficient service. Thank you.
As always, had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. It was my birthday and had an amazing time. The welcome, the service and the food - perfect!
It’s always nice in cote the food and service is always excellent
Great as always! Waiter was fantastic and very attentive engaging in the Christmas spirit with our party.
A great meal and atmosphere the only down point was the 12.5% service charge which hides the true cost of the meal I hear this comment from others
The staff were as attentive as always with a good atmosphere andmenu to select from, we have never been disappointed and are happy to return when we can.
Fabulous food great service and great staff and atmosphere Will go back again very soon no complaints at all Nothing else to add just great
Very good. The staff are lovely and the food is very good for a chain restaurant. Brighton is especially nice as the venue is stunning and palatial.
the good was lovely but the restaurant had already run out of a couple of dishes on the early dinner menu nearly an hour before it ended at 7pm.
Booked a works Christmas party - food and service was excellent
Always perfect can't fault anything everything is done to the book!!! The waitress was so pleasant and so efficient Isabella And the greeting when we arrived by the manager made you so welcome Welldone Hope to visit in the near future
My regular haunt and always a pleasure. Great food, service and atmosphere and all at such a reasonable price, and Brighton restaurant is the best!
Wonderful food, had ran out of what we were going to order which was a surprise. Other wise all good. Service friendly and very service
Good food, friendly efficient service, reasonably priced - as with most Cote outlets. Ideal location for pre-theatre (Brighton Dome). Would prefer that 'Starter' section included simple options. Happy to recommend
Cote never disappoints always great food and service. Two course set menu is excellent value we have been a least twenty times and love it.
Excellent food, service, ambience and value. I have visited other Cote restaurants in Horsham and London and they all offer the same varied menu and wine list and their teams are most friendly and well-trained.
We had a lovely breakfast last Saturday. The staff were very welcoming especially on a cold rainy morning. Good service and tasty breakfast. Very good value.
Delicious food, lovely, helpful waiter, good value. We were on a pre-theatre visit and got served nice and quickly. Perfect start to a great evening.
