A Wonderful place having meal, and the food there are amazing

Great food at reasonable prices. My only criticism, as a regular visitor is that the size of the starters has reduced recently which is a disappointment. My soup bowl was not full as was always the case previously and my wife’s mushroom brioche did not have many mushrooms. Let’s hope this was a one-off. I did mention this to the waiter but all he said was ‘Oh’.

Absolutely faultless, the staff were amazing and so friendly, the food was delicious, and they were so professional with my other half’s dietary requirements (he’s coeliac). The food came so quickly, and was amazing!

We love Cote. This is a restaurant we come to regularly because we know that the staff will be warm and friendly, the food will be gorgeous always - really well cooked, whatever is ordered, the service efficient and the price very reasonable. Jules the Maitre D is just lovely and it’s even more of a delight to come when she is there. She has made some occasions very special for us in the past, making sure we have more personal service as we celebrate various milestones. We have been to lots other quite posh restaurants around Brighton over the years, but we never return to them with the frequency that we do Cote. Why? Because it doesn’t pretend to be anything flash - it’s bustling, friendly, happy and it serves really well cooked food to the same standard every time. We’ll keep coming!

Birthday trip and we were offered a Kier Royal on the house. Lovely!

Always a great place to share a lovely lunch with friends, the staff were reallyaccommodating, even though one of our group was running late.

Up to the usual Cote standards. Stand out service and enjoyably buzzy atmosphere. Prestiege menu is a good deal.

Unfortunately, my friend had to send her meal back! Fish pie was all potato and very dry, also quite a small portion for the a la carte menu! However, waitress did act quickly to change her meal for tuna nicoise which was excellent. The waitress also dropped the cutlery on my suede jacket which marked it but the manager was quick to offer to pay for dry cleaning. The restaurant was very noisy and so it was difficult to hear each other. Perhaps some soft furnishings to absorb the sound would be good when you do a refurbishment.

Food good and service excellent but food wasn’t hot. Didn’t have time to have it redone although it was offered and apologies made

Overall our meal was good although one of our friends starters was served cold. This rectified very quickly and the cost was removed from the bill which was a nice touch. Not only did the waitress apologies but the manager also came over as well. You can't ask for much more apart from hot food at the start.

Fantastic food and service. My only very small point is think a very small garnish on the side of the eggs Benedict would finish the plate as I felt it looked lost on a big white plate. Maybe a sprinkle of something or a little bunch of small herbs would add to the look of the dish. A little music in the background as it was quite it would add to the ambience .

Very relaxing , calm & beautiful place , very helpful , friendly staff , food always gorgeous( we had fish ) & good value.. we had the chicken the last time we was there and it was a bit dry , I’ve heard other people say that about the chicken too . We sat up stair which we prefer as it can be a bit loud down stairs at times . Thank you

Lovely wedding anniversary meal at Cote. We sat upstairs in a booth which was our preference, better atmosphere & good service from the staff. A very enjoyable evening.

Been to Cotes many times , in London and Brighton and other cities , have found the food the service exceptional, the waiter we had today was very helpful and made us feel very comfortable

Food was good and waiting staff were very friendly. However, we asked for the air conditioning to be turned off as it was cold and we have a newborn. Instead they changed our table but there was no difference as there was still air conditioning. It was also disappointing that the 'optional gratuity' was automatically added to the bill and charged on the card machine with no option to amend. It was our first time visiting and given the experience I don't think we'll go back.

Great service. Attentive staff. Absolutely delicious food cooked well. When you ask for a medium rare steak, you get a medium rare steak. Just a lovely, organised eating establishment. Good food at reasonable prices. It’s. All you can ask for.

So we went to Cote last night for my graduation dinner and the team was incredible, you were so lovely and accommodating to my partner who is vegan. The food was amazing and thank you for the special glass of bubbly for me and just being a great evening. Couldn’t fault the evening!
