Côte Brighton restaurant

Amazing could not do enough for us I asked for a few changes to the set menu and was accommodated on every request and every change fantastic

We are great fans of Cote Brasserie but had a disappointing experience last night. We had the King Prawns au gratin, which we have often enjoyed before. They were luke warm, arrived within one minute of our ordering them. They were tasteless and the recipe should have contained chilli which it did not, so it was just prawns in a tepid tomato sauce. Told our waiter and he got the manager whose attitude was you should not have eaten them if they were no good and she was combative rather than apologetic, handled it badly. She did not charge us for the prawns but the meal had been spoilt. Not up to Cote's usual standard.

Greeted well at door and showed to our table . Waitress very attentive.Overall good time.

Our charming waiter Dan looked after us well. A meal at Cote always feels like a celebration and the food never disappoints My favourite place to eat Always a lovely atmosphere ,with great service. We asked for a table near the window which was provided so we were happy Happy Christmas to everyone at Cote. You do a very good job

Three out of 6 of our party ordered chicken liver pate as a starter. My husband looked at his and it was runny and floating in oil. He is not very well and if he had eaten it , it would have probably really upset his stomach. The waitress advised us that actually there had been a problem with them in the kitchen and they had not set as they should have done!! In this case, knowing there was a problem with them, the chef should have owned up and said they weren't available. The three people were given replacement starters of another type but the meal was disrupted.

Great food, hard working and polite waiting staff but a little rushed.

I have been to Côte many times but was very disappointed yesterday. The starters were cold and needed to be sent back, the waitress was very flustered all evening and not very attentive....we had to keep asking her for things we wanted. The table I had requested multiple times be next to a wall as my dad is hard of hearing and cannot hear well in the centre of the room.....our table was right in the middle of the restaurant! The food was preordered which I would not do again as it felt like it had been cooked and then hanging around so came luke warm. Overall really disappointed last night unfortunately.

Great brasserie atmosphere & great food!!! Had to wait a bit but nothing too problematic.

This was my 3rd visit to Cote Brighton and by far the worst. Although our waitress was very pleasant, we waited a very long time to be served initially and then afterwards to ask for our bill. The food was nowhere near as good as I had had before. I’d had the pate before which was excellent and I was really looking forward to it. Before it came in a small jar, tonight was just a slab on the plate. I had the chicken. The skin was soggy and the frites were hard and barely cooked. They were not seasoned and we had to ask for salt. Others in my party had the rib eye from the deluxe menu but this was actually smaller than the steak frites i’d Had the last time I was in. Overall it was a real disappointment, I do not know whether I will come back

Great waitress, like cote and the food is always good, highly recommend.

We were greeted with complimentary Kir Royales which was a lovely touch. Food was mostly excellent although one of our steaks had to be sent back as very tough. This was replaced immediately. Service (Nathan) was excellent as usual. Great lunch & good value

Always a pleasure to come to Brighton Cotes the staff lead by The amazing Jules are always fabulous and yesterday when they realised it was my Birthday Lunch they put a candle in my Crepe and sang Happy Birthday and they looked after us so well. The food is always of a high standard unlike some other chains were the food is hit and miss.

Visited Cote Brighton last night with three friends. The staff always give you a warm welcome. Food good and excellent value. Couldn't resist the Creme Brulee and the Espresso Martini, well it is Christmas!

Everything was perfect as normal - from the warm welcome the moment our group arrived to the food and wine supplied. Thank you for the complimentary aperitifs & the consistency of your service. We even discussed that perhaps our annual Lunch should become a more regular event throughout the year!!

Had a lovely time with friends prior to theatre which set the evening to great start, delicious food as always and lively atmosphere

We were a group of 10 and everything was perfect.

Arrived a little early no problem at all staff are always really nice and attentive and you never feel rushed to eat and go which you do find at a lot of restaurants. I have been several times and it is definitely my favourite restaurant. The food and the ambiance is spot on look forward to going back in the new year . Happy Christmas

1st steak from prestige menu was very fatty. However, a new meal and much better cut was brought out and rectified.

Lovely pre theatre meal. Great food, good service and we weren't rushed at all, which I was a bit concerned about as it's the xmas period

Excellent food, great service, wonderful atmosphere! And all for a very reasonable price.

This was not the best of our visits, although the service was good. I wanted the scallops which was on the specials menu, but they had not got any. My son & his partner wanted the chocolate torte, but they did not have any of that although they were given a chocolate mousse on the house. There was no creme brulee or lemon tart, so it was disappointing. My wife had the lamb which arrived not rare, but raw & not warm at all. She sent it back, but it did not come back much different & unfortunately she was unwell the next day. The wine was good, but we do feel that the drinks are overpriced with the 12.5% on top. It was very noisy, but you expect that this time of the year.

Absolutely love it in here - it's so underrated. I felt like I was in France. Thank you for a lovely evening :)

Lovely evening but was lacking the festive Xmas atmosphere .. could of put some stunning wreaths against the stripped wall fabric panels around the restaurant ! Was a super evening though 👍😀

Everyone was incredible We asked to change tables as it was a little cramped and nothing was too much for them. Always on point here and a pleasure to go to.

We both had the mushroom starter from the delux set menu, it was mainly all pastry with very little else which was disappointing. The rest of our food was lovely and the staff were attentive throughout until we got our desert course. After that it took several attempts to get the bill and pay, so the staff attentiveness should last until you leave.

Excellent service. Staff were amazing and friendly and super quick. It was my birthday and they added in a little extra with free glass of sparkling, whcih was a lovely touch. My friends thoroughly enjoyed. The food menu was incredibly varied and substantial so something for everyone ... The only issue and i think this one needs to be looked into is that the floor in the basement where the steps are was incredibly slippery (it wasnt wet by the way), so maybe its the tiles or a varnish they are using.. I was literally skidding down to the toilets and another lady made the same comment to me as we passed each other. that is an accident waiting to happen so would be great if the management could look into this...

We normally love Cote and it is chosen for birthday meals. However this time we felt rushed. Our order came out within 2 minutes. It felt like the steak had been cooked already and was sitting under the lamps on the pass. The frites were so overcooked and cold. Obviously they were replaced with no fuss but why send them out like that in the first place. Not cote’s usual standard.

We used this Cote brasserie twice in one day - for coffee and toast, and then for the lunch slot we had booked in advance. Neither of us felt the restaurant was quite as good as others we have used in the chain, although the food is the same good value, and it was conveniently placed. Perhaps it had something to do with toast just being pale warmed bread, and staff not as diligent.
