Great service, smiles from all employees. Food was excellently executed.
I always like this restaurant for service and overall quality but tonight the vegetarian balances we’re a bit off- for example on one special menu both starter and main course were based on goats cheeses
Christmas family gathering for 24 people which went really well all things considered. Excellent staff and service. Food really good only a couple of complaints from the party of 24. French onion soup was a bit strange , Fougasse flat bread was a bit bland . Fish Parmentier was changed to haddock only Parmentier. Risotto was overdone, otherwise pretty good. Seating plan was not ideal (3 separate tables) but overall we really enjoyed our evening.
Sorry, but the service was very slow throughout the meal.
Always and always the best atmosphere. Love it there.
Excellent value, excellent service. We all enjoyed our visit very much.
The food was good, staff friendly and helpful. Everything you would want from a restaurant.
Poor disappointing visit, booked the table 4 months in advance and requested a table downstairs by window. Then informed we would have to go upstairs.. I informed that we could not as one of our party had a recent hit replacement operation. Appreciate can’t guarantee a table by window but at least downstairs. Was then informed we would then gave to wait another 20 minutes for a table to be free! However was then show a table a few minutes later. We waited 15 minutes to order and 20 minutes to receive our drinks! In general the food orders in the restaurant were chaos, with a number of guests leaving as they were fed up waiting. Really very disappointed in the visit when we visit varying Côte restaurants in different locations.
Fantastic service. Lovely food and such a nice atmosphere! Been here years ago and it still impresses me to this day x
Thanks Cote Brighton, we had a lovely time.... we even changed the time at the last minute and this was graciously accepted. We were allocated a table in the window which was lovely. Service was great (thanks to the waiter from Leeds) and prompt. Food pretty good and as described and the value was spot on. The restaurant is lovely with bags of atmosphere, we would definitely go back.
Nice evening with good food And great service .thank you
We waited for quite a while for our starters and main courses. All the dishes were luke warm and the duck breast had to be returned as it was cold. There were 6 of us in the party and our meals came out at separate times and we couldn't wait for all the dishes to be delivered as they were already only just warm. We were offered free drinks as way of apology but would rather not have spent £168+ on a below average meal
Excellent! Great food and atmosphere - friendly staff as well! Highly recommended
The staff as always at cote s restaurants friendly and helpfull looking forward to our next visit
On a busy Christmas Eve with a table of 12 our expectations were not massively high , Thankfully all our food was of an extremely high standard ,well presented and professionally delivered, Our waitress was extremely attentive, always smiling and made our dining experience very memorable, unfortunately we did not get her name ( blond hair tied back ) She is a real asset to your restaurant which to be honest are the majority of your staff, Thanks also to Dan who was very helpful regarding menu choices when we rang to alter the booking again ,that morning!
Delicious food, great for my coeliac son who likes the steak frites. Really speedy service even though they were really busy as we had tickets to the ballet
As always, really tasty food and a lovely atmosphere. When we sat down a lovely waitress was really embarrassed that she had to move us as she didn't realise that table was reserved, which was no problem but she really kindly gave us a complimentary glass of Kir Royale each which was lovely. She showed me which dishes were out of stock on the menu. However when me and my partner ordered, there was another dish not available (rib eye steak) which we were not earlier told about. This was the 8oz one on the set menu. He asked about the one on the main menu and this was also not available. We had already accepted at this point that we were going to have to pay a full price meal as the one on the set menu wasn't available, yet when he said he'd have to have a sirloin (he prefers ribeye, and it is cheaper), he asked to have it for the main menu ribeye price and this was point blank refused by a different waitress. I thought this was quite rude and unacceptable as not only did he not get the set menu, but we had to pay for an even more expensive meal than planned.
Waitress was very attentive, despite the restaurant being at full capacity, and the food was incredible. Lovely atmosphere. I particularly loved that the restaurant was not too loud (which is often the case). This meant I was able to actually hear and enjoy conversations with my family. There was some appropriate music playing in the background at the perfect volume, as well.
Excellent experience for all of us in a Christmas celebration lunch.
This was a Christmas Eve visit with friends. As my favourite restaurant in Brighton, this has been a festive choice for many years. I had the set Christmas menu, which suffered a little this time from being prepared for a large number. However, the ambience and buzz of the place was as good as ever, and it still proved a good choice for a celebration evening.
It’s always great at Cote in Brighton, it never fails to disappoint.
sold out of too many items on previous two visits
A very nice place to go for lunch and dinner we had a lovely time and we will be definitely coming here again
Always a high standard. Food choices and quality excellent, service very good
Lovely service and atmosphere. Prestige menu was very good value for money.
A special Boxing Day celebration was marred by poor, slow service and a general ‘average at best’ feel to the place - which was weird because the restaurant was not actually busy, so I am not sure why no one had the time to take our drinks order (15 minutes from being seated) or puddings (40 minutes) or clear our finished plates (30 minutes). The restaurant is tired, grubby and lacking in any charm or festive sparkle whatsoever. The food was okay, but again underwhelming. Really needs an overhaul, and some staff training. Disappointed- particularly as Brighton has many fine restaurants to choose from. I wouldn’t bother - there are far better places to eat close by.
Good greeting. We were early and they still able to accommodate us. Small table for 5 people. Good set menu choices but quite a few things unavailable. Also kids menu fir under 7!? Why is there an age? Service very good. But one meal was very late but they took it off the bill. Could have done more to compensate.
Great food and friendly staff, lunch menu is great deal
This was our fifth visit to the Brighton Cote, and it didn’t disappoint. The food and service were excellent.
Great evening , always good at Cote in Brighton , thank you 🙏
Lovely evening, good food and good service. Pity no Christmas decorations!
It was a lovely evening, with good food and very good service. Just a pity no decorations!
All three of us said how Cote is consistent. Every time we have visited mainly in Brighton occasionally in Lewes and recently twice in London Bridge, the food, service and attention to detail has been spot on. Of course we'll be back!
Overcooked sausage and dry chicken , but good service and stmosphere.
Love it was very friendly and good food! Will come again!
Good and friendly service for a busy time of year.
Great service and great value meal, always a pleasure eating at Cote Brighton
It was a lovely evening..the waiter was lovely..grt service n food...grt place
The food took a while to arrive, after we had finished our coffee. The restaurant was cold despite asking for the heating to be put up. Just disappointing.
We went to Cote for breakfast with friends, after a bit of a night out. The formule is great value, and the breakfasts are up to Cote's usual high standards.
Food was nice however, service was poor. It took 3 hours for 3 courses! We didn't leave your restaurant until gone 11pm. We had to chase our bill, whilst your staff sat at the tables eating food, laughing and joking. Really poor service for a venue attempting to be pretentious! I'm also disappointed that the staff didn't ask the intoxicated women to keep their noise down. These tables made the evening uncomfortable for most people trying to enjoy their evening.
Fresh and tasty food served with a smile by professionaly trained staff
Wonderful evening, we couldn’t have been treated better. Coming back soon.
Food excellent ,waiter expert V.good time ,sure going again Thanks
Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, made my sons birthday extra special.
Lovely meal and great staff! Even though it was v busy we had great service and a delicious meal. Thank You!
Amazingly efficient service with special thanks to Pauline who was so calm and helpful. The food was good and our party of 30 really enjoyed it all. Negatives: extremely noisy unsurprisingly given the size. Bread should be included with starters. Not very French!!! Felt a bit stingy.
Very enjoyable as always, excellent happy staff and good food
Wonderful tasty food and perfectly affordable. We did have to get up our.of our seats to ask to give our order including dessert and to get the bill. Overall staff were really nice.
Excellent food and service ! The staff are efficient and professional in their dealings! Much better than the IVY where we went recently on a trial run and happily returned to COTE our favourite!!!
