I have always enjoyed the food and service at Cote and choice is varied and always well presented. Ideal place for meeting friends and family.Excellent wine choices.
I took my boyfriend to Cote Brighton to celebrate his birthday and they really pulled out all the stops which made the evening really special. We go to this Cote quite regularly, but this really was an incredible evening and I want to thank the amazing managers and staff that looked after us and for all the little, thoughtful touches that made the evening. Pretty sure all our birthdays will be here from now on... Also shout out to the amazing gluten free menu which never fails me!
Great atmosphere, friendly service and very good value early menu.
Excellent meal and pleasant service. Cote Brighton is always enjoyable and good value. Service was a little bit slow but unimportant and food was delicious.
The food is consistently good at Brighton Cote. However, last night was particularly good. The Tart aux Mirabelles with cinnamon ice cream was a fabulous dessert. Pity that it is an April "special", and not on the regular dessert menu.
Can’t fault Cote for consistency. Pleasant staff, delicious food. Love the new blood orange vodka martini! Buzzy atmosphere on a Wednesday evening. Brighton and Sloane Square branches best in my opinion.
We wouldn’t want to be anywhere else but Cote to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We came along with our dear friends who equally love Cote. We all agreed the staff who are polite, courteous & professional always deliver fabulous food & delicious cold cremant de Bourgogne & muscadet. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. We are fully fledged Brighton Cote enthusiasts.
Excellent food.Took 25 min to take order - restaurant quiet - waited just for drink. Ordered veg - got chips! Nice evening -service needs polishing!
Menu is always full of lots of choice that makes me want to come back again and again. I always end my meal with my favourite - creme caramel
Very slick as always. We look forward to coming over to Cote Brighton. Don’t change a thing! Why don’t you open Cote in Lymington? We need you there.
The most amazing waiter that went above and beyond with his service. He even surprised me with choosing my dessert and it was AMAZING! The food was also outstanding!
We love Cote in Brighton so much, excellent food and service as always. It is such a lovely atmosphere, helped along by the free cocktails of the season. Thanks
Friendly and officiant staff. The food was really delicious and there was plenty of it. Certainly good value for money. We were welcomed and spoken to by many of the staff in a very friendly way. No complaints!
As always, great food and service. Really enjoyed the evening. We had a great waitress who helped with choice of wine and food. Quick service too.
Lovely food, atmosphere and staff. Cote is our family favourite
We are new to Brighton and have added Cote Brassiere to our list of regular favorites that we enjoy going to for great lunches. The food is very good, the service is friendly and responsive, and the atmosphere is one of a busy, but easygoing, relaxed cafe.
I love Cote ! It’s one of my favourite places to go in Brighton.... it’s great value for money and the staff are always attentive lovely and friendly the food is great too .... I’ve been to the Cote’s in Horsham and Chichester but Brighton beats them hands down every time. I’m also glad that the staff get all there tips
Enjoyable experience with complimentary bottle of wine through Saga/Cote collaboration, and a birthday dessert Five stars tonight
A very good meal in a busy restaurant. Would recommend.
Another wonderful experience at Cote, one of our favourites were ever go
Fabulous service, great food apart from a couple of main courses but replaced and taken from bill. Love this place and the experience.
Was not notified only the set menu would be available, extremely disappointing. Arrived expecting a large selection of food but had only a very limited choice.
Good bunch, food hot and tasty ,service friendly and efficient.
As always we enjoyed our meal at Côte in Brighton the food is very good and the selection is always very varied, the wine selection is also good
We had a wonderful meal, great service, even though it was very busy the staff kept returning to our table to check on us. Food lovely and fresh as always. Thank you.
We where late arriving but called ahead to let them know, they seemed surprised that we would think to do that , so very pleased. Service was excellent even though they where rushed off their feet. Food excellent as always. I was there with three Côte virgins! they loved it. We had their early evening( lunch to 7pm) menu two set prices such good value and makes choosing much easier. Would highly recommend this branch, especially if you’re visiting the dome theatre it’s opposite.
I booked the table at cote Brighton 2 weeks ago after we took my Daughter for lunch. The service was outstanding. My daughter was excited and asked if she could come here for her 13th birthday celebration. I booked the table 2 weeks in advance for 8 people. The table was booked for 6.30 so we could be home as my children had school the next day. We arrived at 6.15 and had a table upstairs, we ordered our food at 6.40 and did not eat until 8.00. Our meal was finished at 9.00pm. My 13 year old wasted her whole evening at cote, yes we had money off the bill but my daughter 13 th celebration was not as we had planned. Yes Cote was busy but we booked 2 weeks ago and were expected. Totally disappointed.
Fabulous meal and service. We chose the prestige set menu which had great choices and was very tasty Complimentary Kir Royals for my partners birthday which was a lovely touch.Thank You
Front of house was absolutely useless apart from directing people to their seats. She didn't know how to direct staff. We sat outside which was very busy because of the weather with only 2 staff. We waited ages for our drinks. People arriving after us got their drinks first.. the same with our food. I watched 3 groups of people leave. I only left a tip because the girl who served us seemed to be the only one working. I hate to see this injustice in the work place. When we were leaving walking through the restaurant this front of house person was standing around with at least 4 members of staff just talking and we were ignored as we left as if we were an inconvenience. I expect a lot of your diners felt the same. A little bit of staff training would not go a miss or perhaps someone who knows what they are doing. I would never visit your restaurant again. I hope the girl who served us does get her tip as it was well deserved.
I came here last night for my birthday, the waitress was rude and unhelpful, she said they had no vegan bread when we asked someone else they said they did, we called in advance to see if they would make a vegan meal for one of us and they said that would be ok, when it came to ordering it took half an hour, only a mushroom salad was offers to the vegan that came with ONE mushroom. My food was over cooked and has no taste. No one complimented the food. The service was awful and I will not be coming here again. I will make sure my friends steer clear aswell.
Always our favourite place to eat! even over the high end restaurants in Brighton and Hove. You know the food is always going to the same high standard. Always come out of Cotes happy after eating very well...
Wonderful food, nice wine range, classicly trained waiting staff with a sense of humour, just a bit huge / not private-acoustic for brasserie. Will return for a quieter lunch or dinner. X
Great restaurant, the staff were really friendly and there was a great atmosphere. The food was excellent and to a very high standard. Highly recommended.
We had a very nice with waitress good service, food was good the fish was a bit overcooked but overall we had a really nice time.
Good food with friendly and attentive waiting staff equals a pleasant evening! Toilets could have been a little cleaner, bit this probably due to the clientele!
Always enjoy this restaurant and it was as busy as usual. Sadly on this occasion I couldn’t have my favourite tuna nicoise as they had run out of tuna, but it gave me the opportunity of trying something different. The salmon was my second choice and it was amazing.
Great food and service as always. Scallop special starter was a little over priced though, two and a half really small scallops , a bit disappointing
As always, a lovely evening at Cote. Always friendly and efficient, good food, good value. And no pressure to leave which is always appreciated.
Really good food except for the main course of one of our party of 6 where the meat was gristly. Their meal was replaced very quickly and courteously. The cost of that meal was also taken off of the bill as a good will gesture without any request for this. Everyone else very much enjoyed their food and all appreciated the good service by the team there.
We had the most wonderful first experience at Côte, the food and the service. The staff went above and beyond for what I requested, we had a lovely time. Thank you so much to the kind ladies that served us
Very friendly staff and good food in lovely location. Great for a birthday treat, I would recommend it for an occasional as building feels very grand
Always enjoy eat here, people are always so welcoming and friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely mother day. We definitely be back great restaurant.
A disappointing experience for us. The large restaurant was extremely busy and the kitchen seemed overwhelmed. We waited over 45 minutes for our simple pre theatre order, eventually requesting to have starters, mains and the bill brought together to avoid missing the show. The food was mediocre and tepid when it arrived, another sign of the kitchen struggling. The staff were very apologetic and quick to offer generous compensation which took some of the sting out of the whole experience. We are likely to choose elsewhere in similar circumstances in the future.
Excellent food, value and service!! Even free cocktails when we booked online!!! Friendly waitress very accommodating. We had a lovely window seat as requested. Definitely recommend the Pork Belly!
Generally we really enjoy coming to Cote and while this visit was far from unenjoyable a couple of things could have gone better. We were barely seated when we were asked about ordering appetisers - leaving us feeling a bit pounced on. We'd booked early so as to have a leisurely dinner before going to the theatre. and the restaurant was far from busy. The confit duck, delicious as it was, lacked the crispy skin I was expecting. The dish was meltingly soft and tasty, sadly the skin was also meltingly soggy. The warmed calvados wasn't, or it might have been earlier, but not when it arrived at table. nothing majorly wrong, and nothing to stop us coming again, but it could have been a great meal, instead of just a good meal.
We have been coming to Cote in Brighton since it opened and before it became a chain! We like the menu the ambience and the staff are always very professional, BUT yes you knew there was a but coming, the food is poor at best, all four of our mains were dry and over cooked, the pink duck, had be dried under heat lamps after sliced, the beef look more like pork it was so pale and tasteless the chicken was dry with inadequate "ju" was like dried up gravy. The food has got worse (particularly the main dishes) over the years, we keep coming hoping that it will improve! You need to look right through your processes, from supply chain meat quality, to cooking (pay decent chefs) and then importantly speed of service once food is cooked. For a French brasserie, you should at least be able to do reliable steak, but sadly no! Staff do their best to repair and take the charge for dishes off the menu, but we don't come out to dinner to get free meal, we come out for an experience with BETTER (or at least as good) food than we can cook at home! Its such a shame because you have the venue and the FOH staff, you just MUST get the food right!!
Good service and nice food. I prefer to add my own tip in cash, rather than included on the bill. There were only three of us and that is usually only done if there are six or more guests.
Excellent food and service but very disappointed that the gluten free 2 course lunch is £16.00. Ridiculous as lots of the items on the menu are exactly the same as the normal 2 course menu costing £11.00!
Hi Team, A wonderful meal and wine! Fabulous service and good foo ass always. Thank you!😊 See you again sometime soon. Thank you again, Lisa and Mick 😊
A very good restaurant to celebrate a special meal. Have used many times. Recommend to book well in advance of occasion, can be very busy at any time. Wide choice menu to suit most tastes.
