Great set of staff who work hard to make you feel comfortable in the current environment and always, always produce super food at a reasonable price for the quality. Cote never disappoints.
Lovely staff very friendly and helpful . Shame not many vegetarian dishes . We had the risotto which was fabulous. We don’t like strong goats cheese, so could not have this, and these where the only vegetarian dishes on the menu . The back garden was a real sun trap .
The ambiance was good, service EXCELLENT and friendly - special mention to the French lad who served us (Alexis?). We shall return.
So so happy to be back on our favourite place for a long lunch. Great service, great food . 😍😍
Staff were so lovely and accommodating Place was refreshed and looked stunning I had the lamb was beautiful Thank you x
Very very nice to be able to have a meal at Cote now the coronavirus restrictions are reduced. The lovely staff managed to convey their usual friendly manner even with their visors in place.
Glad you are back. Friendly warm welcome, procedures explained, waiter helpful. Only thing that could’ve been better Is staff using ‘hello my name is.....’ which is what we go in NHS as creates Warner experience. Keep doing what you are doing?
Amazing food and service! We felt so fancy and pampered!
So glad that the Brighton Cote has re-opened. My friend and I had a lovely meal as usual, served by one of their friendly and helpful waitresses. We will be back soon.
Lovely greeting, social distancing well worked out, food and service excellent as usual. Ate too much!
Excellent service and food. The menu was still really varied with many things I wanted to eat. The staff were very good. A welcome return to normality!
Lovely atmosphere, great food. Service was excellent- felt like pre COVID night out but also really safe.
Delighted to be the first restaurant diner after lock down.
The evening didn’t start that well when we were placed at a table at the back of the restaurant instead of the front as requested, other than that the evening was great, there were a couple of minor hiccups during service but they were quickly rectifyed, overall great service, great food, and my first choice restaurant when I come into Brighton
I usually have the calamari, which is usually delicious, but it was very overcooked and hard. The duck was also overcooked, and not hot Very disappointed.
Felt just like a restaurant I visited in Paris, lovely food, wonderful staff, would highly recommend and great value for money. Would suggest booking as gets quite busy
The service has improved of late and the food is still excellent
Lovely meal - wine and food and service :) Thank you Côte and staff!
Disappointing I booked a table for 6 pm for 4 people. Booked a month in advance asked for a window seat . We were meeting our friends we hadn’t seen since November. Didn’t get one . Two of us were going to the dome for 730 pm . We told the manager this said we needed to leave by 7.15 pm that’s why I booked table early.Service was very slow. By 7.10 pm our food still hadn’t arrived and we ordered it at 630 pm . We ended up leaving our husbands in the restaurant without eating both starving having to go to our concert on empty stomachs . I was so upset this was meant to be a special catch up . My friend and I ended up going for pizza on our own after the concert at 10 pm at night while our husbands were in the pub and we met them about 11 pm this is not the night I planned and extremely disappointed. They were very busy and not enough staff on . We usually love Cote but on this occasion it was poor . I not complaining about the food as we didn’t get any but our husbands had a nice meal shame we couldn’t have all eaten together
Another excellent service and good food at very reasonable prices. It keeps up with my expectations. Well done and thank you for the wonderful experience. Look forward to seeing you again soon.
For how busy it was it was very good! Food perfect as usual. Shame about loud people in the restaurant but that’s not the establishments fault.
As always excellent food and service at the Cote Brasserie, this time first experience of the one in Brighton. Staff knew without asking that we had a free bottle of wine deal, which was great. All 3 courses were delicious particularly the Duck and the sharing dessert Assiette Gourmand. Service was friendly fast and efficient without ever making you feel rushed. Slight pity that we were only allowed to select from the St Valentines Special Menu but I guess the company has a reason for this policy. But there was a good choice and as said it was all delicious.
Excellent meal with very friendly and prompt service allowing us to get to the theatre on time. Only small negative is that the tables are very close together.
our waiter Danny was professional, efficient and friendly. I requested a table near the window and that wish was granted Food delicious as always I had the pan fried salmon and the crème caramel . Both good although I would have liked a few more potatoes with the salmon
Cote has impeccable service no other like it anywhere in brighton they truly go out of there way to accomodate and make sure you are happy and genuinely care about you as a customer and all are super lovely, my favourite restaurant always princess manferrari
Staff are very friendly & polite service is excellent food is always excellent have been several times atmosphere is always calm & relaxing would highly recommend
Excellent! Always efficient service and delicious food beautifully presented! Great selection of wines. Set menu never disappoints! Consistent as usual and friendly staff, always attentive. Will return!
Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and wine, excellent service from cheerful and attentive staff in well laid out surroundings. Only draw back for us ........ no draught beer! Would still return.
My party enjoyed a lovely meal well presented by a friendly waitress. Our only small criticism was that another group were brought to sit right next to us in an otherwise empty upper floor !
To try something new I decided to opt for sea bass and it turned out to be a mistake. When the meal was served I was met by an intense aroma of smelly fish. Upon eating the meal I had the occasional taste of not so fresh fish so did not enjoy at all. I presume it must gave been the chef using strong fish stock in the sauce so did not make any comment. Whatever it was I could not finish the meal, I just needed the smelly plate taken away. Not for me at all.
Great food and great service as always. The team at Brighton are exceptional. We brought some family along (new to Cote) and they really made them welcome. Looking forward to returning.
We had a great time at Cote last night. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and efficient. We arrived at 8.00pm having booked a table for three people. Although the restaurant was very busy we were quickly shown to our table and given menus. We ordered flatbreads to share whilst we ordered our starters and main courses. We were very happy with our choice of food. I had the onion soup as a starter and my wife and friend shared the smoked salmon dish. Both tasted delicious. Our friend ordered the sea bass as her main course and my wife and I had the fish parmentier. These were again very tasty. We finished off the meal with two creme caramels. Throughout our meal the staff were very attentive. We were given just the right amount of time between the courses to make the evening relaxed and not rushed. We were given a free bottle of wine as I had previously opted to join their email list. I think there are quite a few good offers available online and in local publications if you look out for them. A friend of mine often enjoys the pre-theatre menu. We had a really good time. We don’t often eat in ‘chain’ restaurants but Cote is definitely our favourite. We will return.
Lovely food and service. Very busy and still managed to be attentive
Welcomed at the door and given a table upstairs as we requested. Our server was attentive and personable and we ordered glasses of Sancerre and starters. The wine was as lovely as ever and the first course delicious as usual. From then on it went bizarrely downhill. We usually order the Lagarde Pinot Noir with the fish course. A couple of glasses arrived with opaque red wine which had no resemblance in look, texture or taste to the wine we had ordered countless times before in Cote restaurants around the country for the last ten plus years. We were offered a Merlot instead but that seemed to be the same wine as before. To add insult to injury my fish was severely over-cooked. The fish was swiftly replaced and we went back to the Sancerre....bemused!! So, Richard and Nick, what the Grenache is going on?? Good food but a 400% mark-up on the wines means the experience is diminished overall. Carlucchios much better value for money as wine is not a rip-off.
Excellent meal as always at Cote and all our party enjoyed the day. Highly recommended. The service is always very good and the staff are always very friendly and helpful.
Good service and considerate but let down by food not being cooked properly. One steak was under cooked and another was over cooked. When replacement arrived it was even more under cooked than the first one. In the end we cancelled the order which was disappointing.
I love Cotes and the whole experience, but I felt the food was below par this time, I know we had the premium special, but the food was bland and lacked presentation. But I’ve never felt that this was the case before..so I was sad to feel this way. We will still come back for more though!
My friend and I had an excellent lunch today, Tuesday 4th, Thank you. We both had the bream which was beautifully cooked and presented, Neither of us can manage 3 courses and this time my friend had the pea and mint soup to start but I decided to wait have my favourite dessert, the ice cream. All extremely tasty. . We also had a glass of wine to wash it down. This was a one off! For roughly the last 5 years we have been meeting at Cote now approximately every couple of months and the food has always been excellent. The staff every time are attentive without being intrusive. Beautiful lunch all round. We shall be back.
Really enjoyed the food. Very good value for money. Service always good and kind. My kids loved it as well! We have been having dinner many times and it’s never been disappointed.
Excellent- an enjoyable and memorable family birthday meal. We had great food and wine in a relaxing and special atmosphere. The staff were charming and we will definitely return.
Dinner with hubby .. lovely food and great service. Portions just right. Slightly noisy but a large building so to be expected. Always a favourite and again not disappointed.
Easter Sunday and restaurant was quite but great service and perfect food. Good value, ordered food from gluten free menu as well. Couldn’t have asked for better
The food was tasty and the waitress friendly and efficient. We did, however, have to leave to get back to work, as things were a little slow.
Good service and good food. Linguine was a fraction too al dente for my taste. Creme caramel up to its usual brilliant standard. Everything one expects from Cote including a pleasant ambience.
Hen party was disappointing since most places don’t allow it now
Cote's never fails to impress. The Brighton branch although quite large the service always seams personal. The ambiance of the restaurant is just right and the new March specials were lovely. The Monkfish was delicious.
A Wonderful Birthday Celebration with Excellent Food, Atmosphere and Staff that went Above & Beyond to make the lunch Very Special. The Manager and our Server were Amazing. Thank You!
Second time I've taken my wife to Cote & we absolutely love it! Our favourite place to dine!!! Never a complaint will most definatly be using again
Good food well cooked but a little short on flavour- but given its size and busy-ness, pretty good and great value with prix fixe menu
Soup starter arrived Luke warm and main course took an hour and a half to arrive. Very slow service. Not what I expect from Cote.
