Whilst the service was good when we got it, at times it was quite slow due to what appeared to be too few table serving staff! They were excellent when they served you but it did take them some time to get to you. Food was great once ordered.
The service was slow and one dish was off the menu. Three loud singings of "happy birthday" were annoying. Otherwise it was a good experience.
The staff at cote are wonderful, so welcoming and attentive. The food is amazing too and the whole place has a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be making this a regular place to visit.
For the first time we have been going to cote the service was not up to its best . we had to wait a long time for our drinks , my thoughs were there were a lot less staff than we see other times. I hope that will keep the very high service that you have from the start. thanks clive mobey
Excellent service. Light airy decor. Food was freshly prepared with particular attention to the fact that I required a gluten-free dish. The only negative point is that 12.5% service is automatically added to the bill; I believe service should the prerogative of the customer. We decided to remove the 12.5% and added our own gratuity.
This place never fails for service, quality and choice of menu. 2 and 3 course menus especially good value and weekend specials and monthly change of menu means you never get bored if you eat here often.
ace as always even though you can't get the deal on Saturday night. I have visited 42 branches of Cote and this is my favourite - would be good to see Macon Villages back on the wine list though
Thanks for a lovely meal. Was great service and food was incredible. will be back again very soon! Would recommend the calamari and rosè so amazing!
Most of the main menu was not available, so we asked for a starter off if the set menu and they refused to make it for us even tho they had the ingredients in the restaurant
great service pleasant atmosphere., no rush with the ordering or service. Always have everything listed on the menu and great wine that is not over priced for such a restaurant
Food excellent but the service was a little bit slow. We were told when ordering that it would be about 20 minutes for our meals as we were only ordering main courses but it seemed to be longer.
We did complain after the meal that the chicken breast was a little dry. Our waiter took this very seriously and soon after the manager approached us, listened to our concerns, apologised and offered us a dessert and coffee as a gesture of goodwill. We appreciated the sensitive and accommodating manner in which both our waiter and the manager handled our complaint, hence the dry chicken would not discourage us from returning to a restaurant that we have always enjoyed in the past.
This was the first time we had visited this restaurant. It was a nice building with good service and good food. Nearby there were a large number of good shops.
nice restaurant with great food. had the set menu and free glass of bubbly lush ddef go again. service good too. calamari was tasty and duck was un
Excellent - from being greeted, allowed to take time over ordering food. And, of course, the food was brilliant. We enjoyed it all. Thank you.
The service and the food was just as good as it always is. WE took our friends from Wales who were staying with us and they were quite impressed.
Excellent food, pleasant surroundings and good service all served up together made for a delicious lunch with friends. Cote in Brighton is definitely worth a visit.
Genuine French style cuisine. Set menu very good value for money. Service was exceptional with special thanks to the attentive waiter who seated us and took our order which came very quickly. Nu Nu our second waiter offered to immediately relate my friends meal when she mentioned it was warm rather than hot. She refused but it was done in such a polite and sincere way, very rare these days. We had sea bass and poulais, delicious , especially with a side order of new potatoes and green beans. Exceptional Crewe caramel and delicious chocolate pot. Book ahead to avoid disappointment as it can get busy.
The food was great and the Pinot Noir that we ordered with it was very very nice. I had the calamari for starters and the squid was not rubbery and tasted good. The Pork Belly was excellent too. Don't expect this place to be cheap, but its so worth it.
Lovely meal, nice to be offered a menu different from the norm, very good value. Really enjoyed our time at the restaurant, would recommend to friends.
Stupendously mediocre in all respects. Expensive bottle of wine tasted like cheap plonk. Service was adequate, but often difficult to get hold of a waiter.
The food and wine was amazing. My only criticism was it was so loud we could not hear each other and the tables are really too close together.
Excellent service & great food. Very good atmosphere & staff who seem genuinely pleased to look after you. Always a delightful experience, & value for money.
Great staff very friendly and efficient Food at Cote is always of a consistent high quality and the pre theatre menu offers excellent value . Would highly recommend
Absolutely fabulous, as ever. An evening at Cote, Brighton is always a joy. The food , and service excellent, friendly attentive staff but not overbearing. Well done Cote! We will see you again soon. Dave and Maggie Brooks.
Greeted wonderfully, given the option where too sit, the ambience of the whole restaurant was perfect for the occasion, excellent service, and great food at a great price.
Good food at a good price. Polite friendly staff. We always like the steak frites. The toilets are downstairs so I'm glad there is a disabled one upstairs. We enjoy it there and didn't score 6 as unfortunately the beer glass was warm
An excellant meal with very nice service, the staff were very friendly, and explained the menu very well. The restaurant was was clean and the table we were given was perfect..
My guests and I enjoyed our food as always at Cote, it was Sunday lunch time , the staff were all very busy and attentive so a good time was had by all.
Another very enjoyable meal at Côte in Brighton. Greeted in a friendly and prompt fashion. Drinks served quickly. And of course very nice food. A couple of people had told me they had been disappointed recently with Cote in Brighton, but we had a very nice meal.
10th Anniversary menu was great, especially the dessert Grand Marnier crepe. Very good atmosphere. Lovely staff, but there were a few things they omitted to bring and had to be reminded eg cutlery. Overall a memorable experience.
As always great food service and price. Always welcomed and menu explained staff friendly and knowledgable and produce a great dining experience. Be back soon
Really nice lunch with my nephew and sister-in-law. Nice place. Good service. Excellent wine. Looking forward to come back again soon. Good relationship quality price.
Really good food Vegetables were fresh and chicken tender and cooked well .portion sizes were good which they haven't been in the past . Service very good service charge was includd in bill which I don't personally like
Great food, great service and atmosphere. 2nd time to Cote in Brighton and is one of our favourite restaurants. Would thoroughly recommend it. Had a lovely evening.
A very good ambience, with a nice space and lots of chatter and laughter without being noisy. The staff are attentive but never pushy. All in all, we had a most agreeable lunch. The menu was just right for a brasserie, with everyone being able to find something they liked.
The food is excellent and cooked to perfection. My fillet steak was spot on, as were the veg and fries. The ambience of Cote is very relaxing and just right. The service is also very good, as is the decor. All in all a good experience.
Reliably good food at a reasonable price in a stylish and lively setting. Staff and service excellent - particularly the Manageress 12/9. Book ahead for evening as gets busy.
Restaurant was busy so had a great atmosphere. The staff as always were amazing - so friendly and helpful. We had the special Set menu which was amazingly good value.....!! Will return soon. Loved it.
Had the fixed price early meal (for theatre). Calamari followed by butternut squash risotto. Deeeeeelish. Any more and I would have been unconfortable in theatre - any less & I would have been hungry.
Fantastic food and drink. Really friendly and helpful staff. A really lovely evening that we both enjoyed And would certainly book again. Special flavours for food
The food was delicious as always & the service was good, the staff were polite & friendly. However, I was meant to be given a complementary glass of Kir Royale to accompany our meal as it was my birthday, but this didn't arrive. Although it didn't detract from the delicious meal, it would have been a nice birthday bonus!!
Fantastic value. Food delicious and house wine excellent. Definitely need to book as gets very busy. However not made to feel rushed to eat and get out! Set menu changed monthly. A firm favourite place to eat.
A good reliable restaurant with a delicious menu and good wines. Lunch times there is a set menu, very good. There are always house specials on offer as well.
Delicious food. Well cooked and presented immaculately. The service was attentive without being overly instrusive. My only complaint (and it is minor) was that I had to wait quite a long time to pay with my card. Will be visiting time and time again!
Friendly waiter, excellent food at a very reasonable price. Place was full as usual at Brighton cote, but service was prompt and efficient. Fixed Manu gave a good variety of dishes.
Ate from the fixed pricecmenu on a very wet and windy day in Brighton. As usual, a varied menu with good choice of tasty options. Service was quick and attentive and food delicious.
Loved this restaurant. Food and service were excellent, great ambience. Great choice with the A La Carte and Specials menus and extensive wine choice. Would highly recommend.
Unfortunately on this visit the food was nowhere near the usual standards. Staff were lovely but the food was bland and tasteless. It was so disappointing as this was my birthday supper.
Very nice food ,reasonably priced. The waiters and waitress were very efficient and helpful. The only problem is it can be noisy at certain times
