The meal and the service was very good. The only complaint is that Cote always add 12 & half % tip. We would prefer to add our own tip and feel that 10% is quite adequate.
As always, good service and good food. Had the set meal option this time as was after a quick pre concert fill. The linguine was excellent.
Excellent meal impeccable service Thankyou cannot find enough words to say how good my experience at this restaurant was and we look forward to returning soon
Went with family for the bank holiday weekend. A warm welcome right from the start, and the food, service and atmosphere were spot on. It was clear that the team worked well together and we all know it takes effort behind the scenes to get that chemistry right. Well done.
We have been to this branch of Côte numerous times and the service and food are outstanding we look f order to ur next visit sooon
Overall pretty good, friendly staff, mussels starter not the best though. Mains good and apple crumble dessert very nice, have been several times and would go again
Overall the restaurant is pleasant and overall the staff are friendly. We have found that the food is generally ok with a couple of terrible mistakes. 'Grilled or Roast' chicken swimming in oil and last time a risotto floating on about a quarter pint of olive oil. I get the impression from these chains that little cooking is done on the premises and what cooking is done is by numbers. Anything that causes the plan to go awry and the cooks don't show much cooking skills.... avoid the house white or just order vinegar.
Sometimes a great experience, sometimes not so. Today I really enjoyed my food and the courtesy glasses of Kir Royal for my birthday, however my dining companion was not so keen on his steak..he asked for rare and it was quite well done and some of it did not taste good. A little spasmodic in quality but usually I enjoy it, particularly the duck!
Attentive staff Good reasonably priced food Great atmosphere and buzz both at lunchtime and in the evening Great place to celebrate birthdays , graduation and being alive
Friendly service from arrival to end of the meal. Attractive, varied, menu at a very reasonable price. Now one of our favourites for lunch or pre-show evening meal.
A consistent high standard is maintained both food and service. Food is of good quality and this judged against similar French restaurants in France. Service high due to personal service by motivated and well managed servers. To achieve this, as they did, on Saturday night is commendable.
Consistently good standard of cuisine; friendly, helpful, efficient staff; very pleasant ambience in an elegant environment. It's our 'go to' restaurant when we are in Brighton.
Lunch at cote was lovely even if a little busy. Calamari starter was hot and tasty. Main course of pork belly with gratan potatoes and cabbage was filling and the crackling was crispy. Very good meal overall. Service was impeccable and attentive. Would recommend.
2 of our 3 fillet steaks less lean than normal or expected. Irish coffees quite poor. Overall experience still positive if a little expensive once service charge factored in. Disappointing given our high expectations based on previous visits.
Generous Calamari starter cooked in crispy batter enjoyable. Steak frites was also good value and tasty. We are at a table upstairs because downstairs was full and the atmosphere is not so good up there. Staff always pleasant.
Everyone enjoyed their meal. The salmon fishcakes were delicious. The service was efficient and friendly. We were impressed by the time taken to serve the first course.
The guy on the front desk is amazing !hes always so helpful and nice , not sure what his name is but he wears glasses
confused our reservation ... a bit confused over the order ... the food was bland ..it didnt used to be at cote, shame because we used to go a lot
Amazing service and would definitely go back. The garlic prawns were he stand out performer and I will go back in a flash. Thank you
Consistently excellent service and a great menu at Cote Brighton.. Works well for our gluten free, non meat eating daughter as well as for our highly carnivorous son. Simple food, great flavours, well cooked and served by really nice and well trained people..
Another wonderful lunch. Thank you as always for looking after us so well. Amazing food and service, always attentive. Cant wait to come back again soon .
The service and food at Cote Brighton are always first class! Highly recommended. The mushroom and spinach crepes were served in a delicious cheese sauce which is gorgeous!
My wife and I are frequent visitors to Cote Brighton and enjoy the experience, my only complaint is the 12.5% service charge which I feel is a little excessive. Food and service is always excellant.
Good friendly staff . I had the fixed menu. Very good value and excellent food. See you all again very soon. Thank you very much.
The staff were tolerant about my half hour wait for my friend. The food arrived promptly but we had a very long wait for the bill. My fish was overcooked
I have given top marks as the staff (all of them) made lunch out with a friend seem like a special occasion. Nothing was too much trouble and everything happened with professionalism and a friendly smile.
I had booked the table weeks ago as we were going to the Brighton Dome for a concert but was disappointed that they had put us on a table upstairs as we would have rather been downstairs with more atmosphere. It was very busy I understand as a lot of people were going to the concert but we had to wait about 40 minutes for our main course which obviously made us rush at the end as we missed the support act. Not impressed!
Great restaurant, good atmosphere, attentive and efficient staff and most importantly, food is always of excellent quality. I would recommend Côte Brighton to all my friends.
We use Cote regularly, at least three to fours times a month and every visit is always consistent with great food and atmosphere, however the biggest draw that brings us back and back again is the great service and amazing staff !!! Always made to feel special and treated as individuals even on the busiest of days. Great team led by general manager Jules Alex & Michael
We celebrated our daughter's graduation last night at Cote and as usual were not disappointed. Great food, atmosphere and service! The Kir Royale and celebratory pudding were a really lovely touch. Thank you all.
Birthday meal with family. Steak overcooked but otherwise food excellent and service good. great atmosphere - busy on a bank holiday. Definitely opt to sit downstairs.
I think Cote is the best of the new well priced chains. I am always confident of getting the same quality of steak and frittes for around £10, Service was not up to their usual standard but that was down to one member of the waiting staff.
The food is well presented, cooked to a decent standard and portions are reasonable, the one item i object to is the 12 1\2% added, this allows the quoted price to be increased above the normal 10% which when the wine is included puts your charge above other restaurants we use
Excellent menu, very good food, and attentive and courteous staff. A great dining experience in very pleasant surroundings, and a superb atmosphere. It's always consistent.
Very helpful and friendlystaff, allowing us to reschedule table as we were an hour early. the food was very good as well overall a very pleasant experience
a lovely evening at Cote Brighton as usual! Excellent food, service & ambience - the complimentary kir royales were a special birthday bonus. Thank you everyone.
An fantastic venue for a family meal. We all enjoyed our dishes and the service was excellent. One thing that did stand out is that vegetarians did not have enough choice unless they ate fish, maybe something to improve on.
Great unlit food, with friendly staff. Couldn't believe how busy it was for just a Tuesday lunchtime. The lunch set menu is excellent value, especially if you have the dessert too.
It was a lovely evening with very attentive staff. Great food as always and a treat for my birthday! Much appreciated by myself and my guests.
Staff and service friendly and efficient. We were asked if we were celebrating anything in particular. It was my partner's birthday and our party of 4 were then brought free Kir Royales to begin the evening. Only disappointment was my starter - tuna rillettes - which were slightly too cold and tasted just like a tuna mayo sandwich filling. Rest of the food was fine and the overall experience, as usual, was a happy and fun.
As usual there was a buzzing atmosphere, the meal was good, and the staff were fast and efficient but you don't feel you are being rushed
Excellent service! Wonderful food and atmosphere. I really can't fault it. Highly recommended. Cote is a place you should visit in Brighton at least once.
Amazing food and good service. The only downside: the staff forgot to put my anniversary cake at the fridge but it didn't put us off.
Very pleasant environment on the first floor. Waiters attentive and food delicious. Looking forward to a return visit with friends. Glad to see the note on the bill that all gratuities go to the staff
We ordered from the lunch/special menu & as usual the food was excellent & amazing value. Service was a little slow this time (hence the score of 5 not 6) but as a regular visitor I can say that is unusual.
I have been going to Brighton COTE since it opened. Today as usual we received excellent food, excellent service. A lovely way to celebrate my birthdy with some dear friends. Annette
Excellent service, friendly staff and good food. Couldn't ask for anything better. We were surprised at how busy the restaurant was on a Monday lunchtime - obviously we are not the only ones who return.
Having lived in Brighton since the 80's we have seen many restaurants come & Go. This one is consistent for quality. Service is excellent. Still the best in town. G Pope
Our first visit was good. Our waitress excellent. Restaurant clean and well presented. The food was tasty, my husband's dish would have benefitted from vegetables.
Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Little pressure in terms of ordering and we had a great afternoon in the restaurant. Food was very good.
