Great service, lovely food abd really good wines, good atmosphere, never disappointed

As always the service was excellent however it is a little pricey with the side dishes

wonderful vibe to the place, all staff were kind and polite and food was immense- all ends to a wondering night in York

Fantastic evening tonight, couldn't fault it. Every dish me and my husband had was delicious and the service was amazing, every member of staff were friendly and helpful. We will certainly be back!

We came to York for a weekend and saw Cote Brasserie for an evening meal. We weren't overly hungery so got the garlic fugasse to share to start. It was amazing! Great start to the meal. It didn't stop there. My boyfriend ordered the Pork Belly and he was not disappointed. It was perfect. I had the Duck breast, and I can honestly say it was one of, if not THE BEST duck breast I have had. Very impressed. We were both absolutely stuffed, however we needed to try the chocolate mousse and were pleased we did as it was delicious! The staff were very helpful and attentive and the service was quick and efficient (Didn't wait long for food at all! So fast we thought it must have been sat on the hot plate for a while waiting, but certainly did not taste like it had at all!) All in all an extremely pleasant experience and will be recommending to others and returning on our next visit to York. Thank you!

An enjoyable experience, with good food and prompt service. I particularly appreciate the clear flagging of the gluten free food required by my wife.

We arrived with the place to ourselves and only two more tables were occupied during the course of their meal. Service was efficient but unobtrusive. Food was perfectly cooked.

Cote is my go to restaurant in York or Windsor and I have never been disappointed. My only slight annoyance was that even though we had booked well in advance our table at first was in a poor position. We did ask to move and only had to wait 10 mins for a different table but I do feel if you book in advance your table should not be right in the in front of the door on a cold wet evening. The food and service e were as ever excellent.

Brilliant service from start to finish. I have an intolerance and nothing was too much trouble. It was so lovely not to feel like I am being a pain. The food was absolutely delicious and everyone in the group enjoyed the meal

We had a lovely meal at Cote in York. The food was great and staff very friendly and accommodating. Never has a bad meal at any of cotes restaurants.

Set menu for 14/2 was not advertised as the only menu available on the night. Main course of sea bass was just that and some sauce. As a set menu I expected a bit more for £28.00. No sides were available on the set menu. I paid £20 deposit which was not automatically deducted from the bill which I forgot I had paid so annoyed about that too.

Cote is just the nicest neighbourhood restaurant for all round dinning. No airs and graces; just good honest food, super staff and a lovely atmosphere. So welcoming. Hate to say, but we actually prefer it to the ‘posher’ Ivy Brasserie...,

We had a great evening at Cote. Our waiter was an absolute gem - he put a smile on our face which added so much to our night. Nothing was too much, the food, service & atmosphere were top, well done!

We have been to Cote many times, and as ever this was a very good experience. However, 5 stars not 6 as the desert, a warm chocolate fondant was served cold. This was mentioned to the waiter that immediately sorted and apologised. So no further complaint.

An excellent meal in a really nice environment, no music and attentive staff.

Went for Valentine’s Day at last minute. The set menu was fabulous, a lot of choice to suit everyone. We also liked that there wasn’t a lot of extra charges for certain mains, only the chateaubriand which we had that was so worth it! The service and atmosphere was amazing. We love this restaurant anyway, but the it really performed for an important occasion!

Once a month we treat ourselves to Saturday lunch at Cote Brasserie York. The young staff are always polite , friendly and very professional . Food is always cooked just how I like it. For instance I like my fresh Tuna to be well cooked (not pink) and the Chef on duty will always cook ingredients to your own preference. Always a very pleasant experience which we look forward to. I book a few days before and request the number of the table we like. In the two years we have been going to this restaurant we have never been dissapointed.
