Beautiful surroundings and a very special breakfast, very good service particularly good value with voucher. Loved the hollandaise sauce and salmon on muffin with poached egg.

Meals are not fancy and overdressed just quality ingredients well prepared and well presented. Nice atmosphere in restaurant. Attentive helpful staff. Good value for money in a convenient city centre location. Throughly pleasant occasion.

After explaining to us what we could choose from on the menus after ordering two members of staff were having a giggle one said what did they order did not feel welcome

Excellent food and wine. The waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable and friendly which added to our wonderful night out with friends. We visit Cote, York, as often as we can and always get good food and service.

Nice Welcome. Cote offer an Aperitif and Amuse bouche. Food was excellent, staff were friendly and excellent service. As always, I rate this restaurant one of the best French affordable in York

We find Côte Brasseries are consistently good wherever they are. We are regular visitors to Cambridge Côte and this was our second visit to York Côte. Great menu, great service, great food.

Beautiful meal cooked to perfection, service was speedy but not rushed and as always the resteraunt had a superb atmosphere. Exceptional customer service, the staff are attentive, polite and friendly. Would reccomend anyone to go and enjoy the great food.

As always, food, service and atmosphere were superb. We got to Cote in both York and Kensington and have never had a bad dish. This is equal to, or better than, brasseries in Paris.

Excellent breakfast as always. Friendly, attentitive staff, quick service and perfectly cooked food. The poached eggs are perfect. I highly recommend the vegetarian breakfast, which is very healthy with a few of your 5 a day included.

First time visit to the York restaurant and it didn't disappoint. An excellent meal at a decent price with friendly service by all the staff.

A warm, friendly welcome as usual, and a choice of tables. Service was satisfactory but there was the occasional delay. The staff seemed a little under pressure - Friday night perhaps ?

Most excellent 2 course lunch with cheese shared for dessert. House red very nice indeed. Service excellent. Locale excellent, really just a 10 minute walk from the bridge along a real "village" high street. It rounded off our short visit to York perfectly.

Superb food at a very reasonable price. For starters I had calamari which were unbelievably tender, and my friend had egg florentine followed by the hake and I tried the steak, both of which were beautifully cooked and delicious. The French fries really were French fries, really crisp and not greasy. Nothing was disappointing and it was actually beyond our expectations. I was very pleased because it was an additional birthday treat for my friend. We are both definitely coming back very soon, birthday or no birthday.

We always enjoy Côte York but I hate writing reviews, even for extra bonus points or vouchers. Please don't ask me to write a review again.

Always good service and food is super. Unhurried lunch, we could take our time and savour the moment. Menu was good, with seasonal dishes as well as the a la carte

This was one of the many occasions that we have visited. As always the food and service was of an excellent standard. It is pleasing to find an extensive gluten free menu.

Simply marvellous food. We had some delicious mussels, steak and tarte tatin for dessert. It was delicious, so much flavour, complemented by free wine and great service (including a free "amuse bouche")!

Another lovely meal at Cote . The standard is so consistent. Lovely staff - great food- really nice ambience. There are very few good places to eat in York . This is my number 1 recommendation.
