Nice atmosphere, wine and food was good. I just felt like the waitress was not very personal would come here again though as reasonably priced.

Very friendly, fast service. They were able to adapt the menu to suit dietary needs without any trouble or fuss. We ate pre theatre & they served us really quickly & were prompt with the bill when asked. Very attentive especially as it was a Saturday evening.

Excellent as usual, although the French Onion soup was not quite hot enough on this occasion. Service was at just the right pace. Many thanks

We arrived a few minutes before our booked time but were immediately shown to our table, and didn't have to wait. The service and food were very good.

Been to Cote many times. Always enjoy. Food was good but they seemed to be a little short staffed. Still okay overall but a bit slower that usual

LOVELY MEAL AS USUAL .WE CHOSE FROM THE SET MENU.WE DID HOWEVER EAT EARLY AS WE WERE GOING TO THE PANTOMIME - SO IT WAS QUIET. OUR WAITER SERVED US VERY QUICKLY AND CHECKED TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS ALRIGHT AND IF WE WANTED ANY DRINKS. . WE ARE GOING AGAIN IN TWO WEEKS!!

Staff were welcoming and friendly. Good choice of dishes and was served promptly. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Staff a little too attentive, was asked several times during main if everything was okay. Other than that we had a very pleasant meal and evening.

Food good, however restaurant seemed understaffed, and we didn’t get the staff’s full attention. Waitress wandered off halfway through taking our order and couldn’t remember who had ordered which drink. A bit bizarre!

We enjoyed our leisurely lunch at Cote York. We received a very warm welcome. The food, drink and service were excellent. The restaurant is very clean and well set out.

As always we had a great meal with great service. We have never had a bad meal at Cote York so definitely recommend if you haven't tried it already.

Fantastic food, service, drink and atmosphere - just a little too warm later in the evening. Aircon didn't seem to be working properly. We'll still be back though!

My husband wanted breakfast which is served unti 12 midday, we went in after that and they kindly obliged. All staff pleasant and friendly. The rest of us enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine.

Unfortunately they forgot to bring one of our party's starter so we all had to wait until it arrived. There were six of us and two of the starters were hot so this was not good as the delay was at least 10 minutes. The mussels were overlooked but they did take this off the bill. But the service was not great so to add on 12.5 per cent service charge was a bit of a cheek.

Great atmosphere and food. Rib-eye steak was excellent, ideal with the peppercorn sauce, so too was the grilled salmon with ratatouille. Very pleasant bottle of French Merlot too.

We always enjoy a visit to Cote, one of our favourite places to eat. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming and the service is excellent. We enjoyed a wonderful evening catching up with old friends.

Lovely welcome and atmosphere; helped with GF menu and there was lots of choice . Free glass of bubbly as my birthday and we are registered. Tasty food always.

Not as good as our local Côte but nonetheless we enjoyed he food. It seemed that there were not enough team members to cope with the rush of Japanese tourists that arrived just before us !

Very efficient establishment, great atmosphere, well trained staff, food as normal - delicious, prices good. The whole evening was a very pleasant experience once again.

Courteous and friendly service from very efficient staff, excellent food and a couple of little complimentary treats for a birthday. What more could you want? We will certainly be back.

The sea bream was delicious as well as the filet and wine. On the top of that, the service was lovely and the place is not too noisy. I was there for breakfast too. I highly recommend the formule, really good money for the quality of the food.

Very nice as usual. Lovely wine and lovely food. The calamari fritters started could be a bit crispier. The staff were polite and the overall experience was excellent.

Very impressed with the service - couldn't fault it. We were celebrating our daughter qualifying as a yoga teacher and we had a lovely time.

We visited for a birthday celebration excellent food, attentive service, good atmosphere. and you can book a table in advance. Top notch we will definitely eat here again.

Excellent service, the food was very good as always and the rump of lamb was cooked to perfection. We had a table by the window which gave us a distant view of York Minster.

Food good as always - the set menu does, in my view, still represent the best value in town. Service much improved since our last visit. Will certainly return.

We received good service from pleasant, friendly staff, and there was a nice atmosphere on a quiet late evening. It is so good (and unusual) that we didn't need to fight against intrusive background music. The 'free' bottle of wine definitely helped too!

Excellent food and all served in very quick time but not too quick that it felt rushed. All staff were very friendly and gave a warm welcome and were very pleasant throughout the service.

Friendly service, good value for money and steaks cooked exactly as requested...child friendly and proper children’s menu. Good selection of drinks at fair prices. Great central location.

The Côte York is perhaps the best restaurant of its kind in the area. The food is amazing and reasonably priced and the services is always exceptional. Couple this with a fantastic atmosphere, it has to be my favourite place to eat in York.

Great early evening menu that is constantly changing. All dishes are well presented and well prepared. Excellent wine list. Professional and relaxed venue. Food is consistently of a very high standard and very good value.

A couple of things off the menu but other than that the food was great and service, in spite of it being busy, was good.

Wonderful meal, the staff were all fantastic and the food was even better!! Accommodated my lactose intolerance by working around the dessert menu which was greatly appreciated.

Had a very good dinner here on new year's eve. The place was busy but the waiters handled it well and everything: food, service, atmosphere and wine, were all very satisfying.
