An excellent and tasty meal. Good service from very friendly and helpful staff. I had the goats cheese starter and sea bass, both of which were excellent. I was in a party of nine and everybody felt the same.

Dined here with my wife and four friends 21 June. We'd reserved a table and we're shown directly to it. Our meals were served after we had our complementary cocktails. The food was very tasty. We weren't rushed between courses, given enough time to chat and savour each dish. I had crab mayo followed by baked seabass, delicious. The restaurant was full with everyone appearing to enjoy their experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal in the York Cote which, as always, was of a very high standard. The level of service is also impressive. Our waitress, with the kind indulgence of the chef, was able to provide my wife with an off menu starter to comply with her dietary restrictions, for which we are very grateful. In my view, it is the best restaurant in York.

Must have been training day at Cote yesterday. Staff don't listen. Main course came too early. I can pour my own wine thanks. Wife had glass filled when didn't want more. Hey ho again.

Superb as usual very high standards of food and service good

Great as usual apart from the fact that the French beans are not of a fine quality. Soft and squishy. Wine good, service good, atmosphere good.

All fine again exept for the beans again, they were not "fine beans " inferior quality. Why?

The food - from the French Onion soup to start - for our whole meal was delicious. The service was very good - attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere was extremely pleasant especially for the first night of our short break in York. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant for a good evening.

Very friendly and efficient staff. Waiters introduced themselves and the service was excellent. Food quality is always top but this time my chargrilled chicken was rather dry otherwise all very tasty. Great veggies.

Lovely food, brilliant service. Only Problem was we felt the portions we small for the price. It’s a lovely experience as it’s luxurious and I guess that’s what you pay for.

Once again a great experience at our favourite place in York. I just wish the French beans were nicer! Service and everything as good as ever.

This is one of my favourite places to eat when visiting any town. It is consconsistent where ever you go. Good food, good service, and really professional staff. I can't recommend enough.
