As always an amazing time at Cote. Food superb - tasty and well presented. Staff - efficient and welcoming. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with good friends.

What a great lunch we had here today. I cannot believe we have not been here before ! The service was second to none . and attention to detail excellent .Food all superbly cooked and presented . My lamb cooked exactly how I like it ! definitely on the pink side . Sat talking to two complete strangers , and likeminded people who appreciate good food

We chose a variety of dishes between four of us and everything was delicious. Service was spot on.

I visited Cote at York with my husband for breakfast. We were seated at a table in front of the window. There was very noisy construction work in progress at the building opposite and also the people sitting at the table next to us were talking very loudly. Perhaps we should have asked to move but we just tried to ignore it. The waiters were efficient and courteous but not particularly friendly. My breakfast was o.k. but not up to the quality I have experienced at other Cote Brasseries. My server forgot to bring my apple juice but he apologised and brought it directly after I had asked for it. There are better restaurants in York so we probably won't visit Cote again.

As always with the Cote chain, nice food - service very attentive and prompt, food well presented and properly served by staff who are clearly trained in service. We have also visited the Manchester and Islington restaurants - never yet had a substandard meal

Good food, reasonably priced. Excellent, helpful, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. We were on a five day City break and had dinner in Cote York twice. Acoustics need attention. On busy nights the sound of people enjoying themselves must top the 100 decibel rate.

We have dined at Cote Brasserie twice in the last few weeks. Excellent service, great food and very good value. Nice atmosphere and very pleasant decor. Despite breaking a glass, the just cleaned up my mess and was concerned if I might have cut myself. A very enjoyable evening.

Came as a table of 12 for my graduation with one member of our party needing disabled access, etc. The service was brilliant, Guiseppe the waiter was brilliant and absolutely faultless despite the size of our party. Was a bit loud for a Wednesday evening, but I think it just goes to show how good the restaurant is, for it to be that busy on a weeknight.

Beautiful well presented food as ever, exemplary staff and great atmosphere. Love your restaurants they are always where we look first. Thank tou

Everything was excellent barr the following -when the main meal was brought out I had to wait before the potatoes were brought to me I had to to remind staff of what I was waiting for I could have easily have finished my main by the time the potatoes were serve. Finally I was sent an email re free bottle of wine with meal this was shown to the waiter prior to our order was taken. On receiving the bill I was charged for the wine. This was queried and it was deducted from the bill I was also given my pudding for free as goodwill due to my experience.

Fabulous food and service, first visit to Cote York but had heard good things so was not disappointed, the waiter was very attentive and ensured our needs were attended to throughout the meal without being intrusive, the food was excellent served at exactly the right pace for a leisurely meal with time between courses. My meal of mackerel rillettes and Breton chicken was fresh and tasty no room for dessert! Recommend a visit to Cote!

The food was delicious. However we had a voucher for a free bottle of wine so were surprised to see a charge for this on the bill. Also we were charged a ‘discretionary’ service charge. How is this discretionary if included in the bill? The staff did resolve these issues once we had pointed them out.

Excellent meal, great location, fantastic staff. Couldn't fault the overall experience.

Staff very welcoming and very helpful. Quick service even on a Saturday night. The melon and ham starter was delicious, also very delicious the chocolate fondant. The only downside was strawberry pavlova which was too heavy and I didn’t love it but it had been taken off the bill so I will definitely come back.

Excellent lunch and service, and good value for money. Complementary bottle of wine included in this months special offer.

We are regulars at York Cote & have been for the last 4 year. From the staff to the service it’s tops. The food is always excellent. Unfortunately last night the steak was a little overdone,but that’s a one-off., The best food in york.

Excellent food and service, with an extensive menu to choose from. Fillet steaks, cooked to perfection and great value for money.

Very busy and service was initially rather slow. Food quality was high, as expected.

We sat in the middle section but the lower section was very noisy which made conversation at our table difficult

Couldn’t really fault anything. One of the best meals we have had this year, if not the best.

Staff took too long to greet us, too long before taking our order and brought mains while we were half way through our starters. When I said it was a little too soon ( twice ) they didnt even acknowledge me! Very noisy, to the point of being uncomfortable.

As usual my table 66 was ready and with a warm welcome by the front of house staff. The meal was up to it's usual high standard and the female waitress was very professional, polite and had a good sense of humour. I always recommend Cote to my friends and they are never disappointed.

Always enjoy meals at Cote. That's why I'm a regular customer. The overall experience is currently enhanced by the addition of the free cocktails. This month's elderflower G&T was both delicious and refreshing: perfect for a summer's day. As I've learned that I can use the offer with further bookings this month, I'm sure to be back! A large group of students came in for lunch when we were there. Unfortunately, they were rather noisy, which is the reason for the lower scores on atmosphere and noise level.

The waiter took great care about our special allergy needs. Food was good. Overall very nice.

The food as always was delicious. Sadly our waitress was surly and rather rude. On arriving at 5pm the entire restaurant was empty yet our waitress took my party of 4 to the very back of the restaurant near the entrance to the toilets - totally baffling, it wasn't until my young 15 year old nephew (your restaurant is one of his favourites) asked if we could actually sit in the main dining area did she decide to move us to sit near the door. We ordered bread and olives to start and we weren't given side plates and had to balance bread knife and butter in our hands. At this point we decided that our waitress just wasn't very professional and we decided to just get on with things as we didn't think we would get a helpful response if we complained. Having spent just short of £100 for our meal - we were concerned that she had got our bill incorrect aswell, but again we decided against questioning this as we just wanted to leave. This restaurant is a family favourite but sadly our experience wasn't a nice one this time around.

Formule full English breakfast was delicious, service friendly and attentive. Restaurant was peacefully quiet and relaxed for reading the newspaper.
