Excellent food and service. No faults whatsoever and highly recommended

Four of us from Cambridge for the Races enjoyed a lovely, tasty meal, as always.

The good, ambiance and service were excellent, I am gluten free and I was catered for extremely well,

Very busy due to it being race week in York. The staff worked very hard to mitigate the busy time and nothing suffered. Our Italian waiter was really great albeit in a French restaurant!

Excellent Sunday lunch. There were four of us and we were all pleased with the choices we made from the three different menus available. The staff were very friendly and helpful but also professional. We would definitely go back.

Having previously visited Cote in Woking we sought out the brasserie in York and had a wonderful evening. Our waiter, Pepe was on top form and serviced all our needs and provided entertainment all evening. We did meet other members of staff who were all very attentive and the food was excellent. The restaurant was slightly quieter than on previous visits, perhaps because of the evening's heavy rain, so the noise level was much better than we have experienced before. The noise level, if there are large parties of diners, is the only negative thing about this restaurant because the food and the service is always first class.

Good atmosphere, excellent food and wine, good value for money and good choice of menu. Was husband's birthday and was met with "Happy Birthday" and a glass of pink fizz - Lovely touch.

Happy with overall experience; however we were a party of 17 individuals and would have preferred to pay for drinks individually as and when we ordered.

Lovely meal really enjoyed it usually have the steak Frites meal had the lamb this time it was excellent followed by praline crepe.

The waiter was quite brusque and appeared irritated by the man who was carrying out trays of food, who appeared not to be able to please the waiter who barked at him to stand closer with the food. Although the waiter was evidently very skilled and efficient, his stressed demeanour unsettled us. Ordering felt rushed, and there was no effort made to smile, which is unusual as we love cote York and have always had friendly service there. He appeared to act superior around the other staff and even with us. The manager was charming, and the guy holding the trays (who may have been training) seemed pleasant, as was the waitress, but the waiter was haughty. Was very busy and don’t know if this was partly the reason for his attitude. Food was superb as usual!

Cote york was very busy but still managed to provide an excellent speedy service along with that personal touch which I have come to expect from such a well run establishment. The food was exemplary and the bill very reasonably priced. I will I undoubtedly return.

We've been coming here since it opened in York, as we know we'll always enjoy a really tasty and high quality meal. The special offers and menus ensure value for money, and the service is excellent too. Theres a good range of dishes, varying in size and lightness, for all wishes.

Interesting menu, delicious food. The creme caramel was utterly superb no wonder it is their speciality dessert. Service perfect (by Georgia) Highly recommended.

We booked to go to Cote Brasserie for lunch as we had a card through the door with the enticement of a complimentary bottle of Rose if we chose from the a la carte menu. We duly booked and enjoyed a delicious lunch, there was a problem with one of the main courses but the staff very promptly and effectively dealt with the issue. Will we go again? Absolutely, overall it was a very enjoyable experience.

The choice on the menu is always good. I defy anyone not to find anything the like. The staff are always very friendly and efficient without being "over the top". A visit to Cote is always a pleasurable event.

We usually enjoy our meals at Cote whenever we go there, which is probably twice a month. We have brunch but sometimes we have a late lunch. The food is reasonably priced, good quality and tasty. If we have a complaint then this is dealt with promptly and efficiently. We would have no problems in recommending this restaurant

I'm a Cote regular. The food is always excellent - easily equal to more expensive restaurants in York. Great choice from 3 menus plus specials and great service. What more could you ask for?
